    I can't make a decision

To be honest I don’t track daily. I have got my diet down enough where I don’t have to log everything to ensure I meet my nutritional goals for the day. It is helpful to do if you are stalled, to see if you have increased something somewhere. I think the first few months are crucial but then you are like a normal person and it becomes less of a chore and more normalcy. I think if you can make it through the first 6 months (tops) you will find it’s easy sailing from there.

Fairlife Core Power Protein Coffee Shake

I stay away from anything with a sugar content that is higher than 5 grams, as this is what was instructed with my program. The cabs don't bother me, as I'm not carb crazy, but the sugars would concern me.

    I can't make a decision

Here is a post that is good to read that shows we are all human. We all mess up and can laugh about it.

    I can't make a decision

Just remember that nothing is forever. I'd always recommend to get past the "honey moon" stage before you start experimenting with tempting foods. Make the most of those precious few months. Some people's last 3 months of rapid loss, and others longer. For me, a big slow down past 5 months. I lost 100 lbs by the time I hit 4 months. Now its taken me 2 months to lose 23lbs. So it does slow, and the further out we get, the more we feel normal and "normal" habits creep back in.

    Should I be offended?!

Its soooo true. I've reached out to all my resources after surgery, besides my surgeon. I see him for follow-ups and that's it. In fact, I've been slightly disappointed by the fact that the doctor's office doesn't do any follow up. They haven't asked one time about my emotional well being. Do they not realize that emotional status can alter after surgery? Or is that they just don't care about it? Do they only care about the numbers and success rates, for their tracking purposes? Sadly, I think I'm onto something.

    I can't make a decision

I've def had some FOMO in the beginning stages. Oh, I remember going on a shopping trip that required a road trip with friends. On the way home, I had to find something from the gas station to eat.... They came back with Subway. I came back with a stick of cheese. It was saddening, at the time. When we have a couple party and I serve dessert, it sucks to be the only one not partaking. However, I could make it easier on myself and eat something with them, that is allowed on my plan. I'm getting better at ways to have yummy things that go along with my plan. I think I have FOMO the worst though when other people point things out, sometimes I don't even think about it, until my bestie says "Come over, I've got a bottle of wine with our names on it". While she knows that I'm not regularly partaking in alcohol, it just slips her mind. I haven't slipped on anything pastry or cake-wise because I am afraid to dump. I think the fear alone is keeping me on track. I do eat SF ice cream and ice cream bars, but you can't find those things at restaurants while out with friends (which is when I think about it). Do I think that this will change overtime, and I'll be able to have a bite of cake at a birthday party, maybe? I'm good without it at the moment. I actually don't crave sweets much anymore. My weakness is chips... oh boy, I salivate over some chips. LOL And I eat some from time to time. I buy the little snack size baggies (like the size for kids lunch boxes) and I splurge. But I feel VERY guilty, every single time. I haven't gained from any splurges, but I can tell when my diet isn't fine tuned enough, and I stall out. The first thing to go for me is fruit.

    I can't make a decision

I'm not negative, I'm experienced to say that I can see the warning signs of someone who may not be ready. I hope you do gain as much knowledge and info as possible to make the right decision. But as other poster's have pointed out, its a life long commitment. You have to be willing to make the most of it. It's 80% mind and 20% body. You can easily cheat yourself out of being successful, its not fool proof. I'd rather see you make this decision, when you are ready, and will make the most of this journey. I recommend surgery to nearly everyone who is sure they are ready to make a change. I'm not saying you won't get there, but your concerns are concerning.

    Pain From Bras

I only have one that is full body and I reserve it for outfits that I need that extra squeeze. Do you feel like the camisoles roll up? that would be my only fear.

    Pain From Bras

I can't tell from the picture, is this a full body shaper? or just the camisole? I buy all my shapers from Walmart, I buy the Cupid brand. I mostly wear briefs though. They wash really well!
  11. No regrets at all. I had a lot to lose and knew that Bypass was the only legit route for me.

    Pain From Bras

I wish I could offer advice. I still haven't found a good bra since I've lost weight. Last month, I went to Lane Bryant who fitted me as a DDD, which is what I was before surgery, I about died laughing at her. My boobs have DRASTICALLY gone down. I think Lane Bryant has some serious vanity sizing in their bra department. I wear a 38D at Walmart.... and I'm not hanging out in the slightest.

I'm guessing you'll have follow ups with these individuals as well as it gets closer to time. You can always write down the important stuff, and then use future appointments for follow up questions or things you think about down the line.

    Should I be offended?!

This would have def offended me, but I'm going to take a different approach on it. I would say that his opinion has little to do with your choices or success after surgery. You need him to do the surgery, without complications, period. After that, his job is to monitor your vitamin levels and record your weight loss. Just because he's a bariatric surgeon, doesn't mean he's a fitness expert. I wouldn't take advice from a surgeon on fitness, just because he's a doctor. So if you want to "bulk" up, then go for it! But I wouldn't let it discourage you from using him. If his known skills are reputable, and you've established with him... I'd say continue forward.

You can def make a list. I found that my first consultation was spent mostly with the doctor going over the different options. It made my head spin. I never did get all my questions answered (in that moment). Focus on really listening to what he/she is saying and asking follow up questions to determine which surgery is best for you. That is very important to choose what is going to work for you. And just remember, you will have plenty of time to ask follow up questions. If your program is anything like mine, you will have some type of seminar to go over info, bariatric class of some sort, NUT appointments, psych eval, and weigh-ins. Plus, I found I had more questions after my appointment than before. And believe it or not, some questions will actually be better answered by your NUT than the surgeon. If you have a concern for qualifications, then you can def bring up the PCOS. But it is, without a doubt, been known to help this condition. I have PCOS and I was told that it will help, to what degree is unknown. You can always use this community as a resource as well. I personally don't like giving medical advice, but any info we can provide about the process or our experiences.. this is what helped me tremendously! Good luck, and CONGRATS!

@Ken S. or another question. How does someone earn a negative reputation, because I've seen that before?

    I can't make a decision

First of all... I've already responded to all to your concerns on your first post about your fears. In your case, I wouldn't recommend surgery. You aren't ready, nor near ready for the commitment to change. I'd try the portion control route first. I do wish you luck. When you hit your rock bottom, like most people on here do, you won't be worried about giving up the things you've listed in your post. And I mean this with the upmost respect, because you have to be *ready* to take this journey. I don't believe you are.

    Challenge for the Pre Ops

Haha I just tried making a video of making dinner after meal prepping and unless I can figure out video editing. You don’t want to see me making 4 chicken skewers 😂😂. Poking each slice of pepper, onion and chicken chunk. ⏳ I’m going to see if I can get the hang of editing and *then* I will def post a video.

How much Biotin do you take?

I take 10k units per day. It hasn't helped much. And I always meet my protein goals. I don't think there's much in the way of prevention to be done.
