Hi everyone tonight, I got a 1.2cc fill yesterday under flourscopy. I might have already told you all that. My dr. said Clear liquids for three days. Today is day one and I am starving. these Protein drinks aren't working this time. I don't see why I can't have full liquids. I hope this fill works. It sure seems like he is going to make me work for this weight loss which I am doing. I walked 2.4 miles today and it was hard for me. I have to go back and see him in 4 weeks. I am loosing though. I don't know what I would do without this talk thread. I am crabby because I am hungry. Beckyo:tt1:

Hi everyone tonight. Today is Monday and I got my first fill. He put in 1.2cc under floroscpy. He said my pouch was good and not stretched out at all. I thought he would put in more than that. I guess I am going by what others have gotten. I have to have Clear liquids for three days. Then on to regular food. We will see. I hope I get some restriction. Don't know what to expect with a first fiill so I will go slow and see. My weight is still going down but alot slower but I will take whatever I get. Janet, I saw Trace Adkins last night and he is one sexy son of a _______. You fill in the blanks. It was a great concert. Also Trent Tomlinson, He sure was good also. Well now the fair is over and back on track for me. I am going to walk every day again and get on the good foods again. I didn't do bad at the fair but intend to do better now. Beckyo:thumbup:

On the leftovers issue, I was meaning any kind of leftovers. For instance I will bake vegetables on a cookie sheet and I have leftovers to eat the next day. I don't think I could eat any leftover meat though unless it was something real soft. On the clothes issue, I am down a size in clothes but most of all, my undies are too big (tee hee). On the vitamins, I have compared the bariatric advantage lap band vitamins to a good multivitamin from Sams club. The bariatric one has the calcium rolled into it. They are chewable and their are extra vitamins in it designed especially for lap band patients. I like it because it is one pill, plus I like the idea of the extra vitamins, however, I do believe any good multivitamin will work for us lapbanders. If you go to the Bariatric Advantage.com website, you can look at the ingrediants in their lap band vitamin (Vitaband) versus your regular vitamin. Then, weigh out the prices per each bottle of vitamins and see what happens.:mad2: Beckyo -
Hi to all tonight, JoAnn you are such an inspiration to everyone already. You will do great when you get your surgery because you are preparing yourself real well. Janet, I know you are gone right now but I went to State fair and saw Brooks and Dunn and ZZ top. It was soooo good. We had really good seats to. I ate another corn dog but nothing else except Water. Tomorrow is Sunday and I am going to see Trace Atkins (a honky talk, badonka donk)Can't wait. I am not going to have anything to eat tomorrow but I am going to get a lemon shakeup made with sweetner for my last fair treat. Monday I get a fill finally. I hope it does something for me cause I have slowed down alot. You girls are great:rolleyes2: Beckyo

Hi to all tonight. Long, I get my bariatric advantage vitamins (Vitaband) from bariatric advantage.com. They also have the profect protein bullets which are nice to have on hand if you need to get in some protein. They are only 2 or 3 oz. and have 25 mg protein in them. I also use those for fillers, along with Unjury when I need it. I take two vitamins a day also. Well today is Saturday evening. I went to the state fair last night and saw Brooks and Dunn and ZZ top in concert. The concert was four hours long and it was fantastic. I drank water so I was a good girl but I did have a corn dog again when it got over. My back is bothering me so I haven't walked for two days. Monday I go for a first fill under flourscopy so I sure hope this gives me some restriction cause I sure do need it. I have had bread in the past a couple of times but I kind of got stuck also. One day I can have something to eat and can't hardly quit and the next day I can warm up leftovers and boom, it gets stuck. Glad to here everyone is doing well. Beckyo:thumbup: -
Janet, good article about you and your Dr. You are an inspiration to all of us. Long, CONGRATULATIONS:thumbup: on your 50. Keep up the good work. I am getting my first fill on Monday with flouroscopy so I sure hope it gives me some restriction as I am hungry. I can't wait to get my next 25 off. Beckyo:tt2:

Hi all tonight! Today is Tuesday (12th). Went to dr. today. ONly lost 5 lbs in the last 4 weeks according to his scale. My scale says I lost more than that. Oh Well! Anyway he said he does his first three fills under flouroscopy so of course I did not get scheduled until this coming Monday for that. I will be okay for another week. He says I am doing good. Have lost a total of 26 in 9 weeks. So I am still happy with that. I hope this fill on Monday cuts my appetite down. He told me to go get a copy of South Beach diet book and read it because I said I had a steak, b potato and salad last night for dinner. He says no potatoes or very little as they turn to sugar. So I guess I will read that book and see what it says. I myself, like Weight Watchers but I have not looked at the others so I really don't know. Glad to hear everyone is doing okay so far. Keep up the good work:thumbup: Beckyo:tt2:

Hi to all tonight, tomorrow is my Dr day and I hope I get a fill. Well I gotta say that for me, from June 13 until about a week ago, it wasnt hard at all for me. With the surgery and the new band, I really wasn't hungry at all so it was easy to keep my portions small. Now I am hungry and it isn't easy to keep my portions small. I am eating more than I was but I am still trying to stay away from sugars, eating my Protein and walking every day. I would just like to have that not hungry feeling again and am hoping for that with a fill. This whole experience for me has been great so far and now I am ready for the next stage of band life. Beckyo:rolleyes2: -

Hi to all the fifties group this Sunday evening. I think I had my first food stuck today. It wasn't bad but it was incomfortable. It was a bite of a sandwich which I did not chew well. anyway I hope I can get a first fill when I go to Dr. on Tuesday as I am hungry. I haven't posted here much lately because I have been posting on Janets thread mostly. glad to hear you gals and guys are doing well. For you new people, don't be afraid of the unknown. It is not that bad and eveyone imagines life with all of these new rules about eating. But it really is a good thing. gosh I feel b etter already and I have lost only 26 lbs. Yes, it does take some work on your own also but the band really helps you. I can't wait to move forward to the next 25 lbs. It also helps when you get alot of support and you can have all the support you want on this site. I myself am very happy with my decision. I was having all the same thoughts as you were and we all have those thoughts. Well gotta go for now. Beckyo:thumbup: -
You girls are great. Ya know what? We all got each other and thats great. Janet, I was glad to hear some about your life. I am really ready for my own time and space now also. You are right, this weight thing is an addiction. Well, today is Sunday evening and I went to the state fair on Friday evening. I did have a corn dog and later a pork sandwich but I took the bun off and ate the pork. Not too bad. I now do believe I am in what they call Bandster hell. I am hungry. I have been hungry for at least a week. Trying to be careful but I can eat everything. When I went to Dr. on July 15 he said four more week for a fill since I was loosing good. Now I go on August 12 (Tuesday) and hopefully for a first fill but since the last visit I have lost 5 or 6 lbs (goes up and down). I havent lost anyweight for 14 days so I think I have a small plateau. Tonight i had 4oz hamburger patty, salad and half corn on cob and I could have eaten more. I stopped on my own but isn't that alot for a new bandster. I am eating pretty properly but just quite a bit more than before and I don't like that. We will see what Dr says on Tuesday. I don't want to get sidetracked with food. Still walking 2 miles a day. It is hard for me still. Talk to you all later. Beckyo:smile2:

Ellen, so sorry about your bf. I know how painful it is to loose someone that you are close to. Time will heal your pain and its okay to grieve. This is a good place to come and talk. Long, I hope your surgery went well. I was saying a prayer for you to be okay and we will hear from you soon. Indio, CONGRATULATIONS :tt2: on your normal BMI. I can't imagine what this is like. You have worked very hard and you deserved everything coming your way. Plus, you are a very good mentor to all of us. I hope to be in your shoes some day and be a good mentor. The last few days for me have been kind of off. Last night I had 4 two inch square of pizza. I am hungry and I can't help myself. Next Tuesday, I go to Dr. so I hope he gives me fill this time because I am truly hungry now. Its like the band isn't there. I am trying really hard to be careful on food. On Wednesday I weighed and I stayed the same as last week:confused2:. Thats the first time I did not loose since surgery. I have upped my walking to two times around the park now every other day so am getting in extra miles now. thats hard for me, especially because its so hot. I am sitting here hungry right now and for lunch I had cheese sticks and a medium salad. I am afraid I am going to have trouble when I get filled because I can not quit taking big bites of food and I cant quit guzzling or eating fast. That is the hardest part for me I think that is harder that exercise:cursing: See ya later, Beckyo

Hey Janet, Glad to hear your biopsy was clear. Thats always a scare. Today is August 5th. I havent posted for a few days since I have been busy. This is a slow week for me. Will weigh tomorrow and see what happens. today I had coffee, Protein bullet for B, lunch was 4 meatballs, and a salad, supper was one spare rib and mixed vegetables. It seems like I can eat more and more. I haven't had a fill yet but I go next week to Dr. Hope I get one. I am still loosing but alot slower. I'll take anything. I have started walking 2.4 miles every other day now. On the other days I still walk 1.2 miles so I am walking every day. I bumped it up so I can try and get ready for fall so I can do it every day. Still treading Water in the pool for a full 30 minutes. Man, that is a work out. Try it while it is hot without touching the sides or bottom of pool. This week the state fair begins. I am going to see ZZ top and Brooks and Dunn next Friday and the following Sunday Travis Tritt. Can't wait. talk to you all later. glad to hear everyone is doing okay. Beckyo:rolleyes2:

ALL RIGHT JANET, YOU GO SISTER!!!!!!!!!! bECKYO:laugh: -
Yes, that last recipe does sound good. I went out for dinner Fri night and I had eggplant and it was good. Well these last few days I have been good but I feel like I am slowing down. I didn't walk for two days since it was horribly humid outside but I did get in the pool and tread Water. I feel lazy today. I am bored these last few days. Thats when I want to get into trouble with food. I haven't yet but potato chips have crossed my mind. I don't ever eat them either. Isn't that strange. Everyone else sounds like they are doing good the last few days. I haven't seen your pictures yet Janet. Talk to you all later. Beckyo

Nancy, don't loose hope on the lap band. It does work. I think you need to change up your eating habits and try some hard Protein. Have a hamburger without bun, or grilled chicken and go slow but keep trying. You are probably not getting in enough food or variety. Hope this helps. Boos, the feeling I have is last night I had a hamburger from a restaurant with no bun and a salad and I ate it all. For some reason the last few days I have kind of been nauseated. don't know why but last night I felt extremely full and like I ate too much. I try to switch things up if I dont' loose or I need a change. Talk with you all later. Beckyo

Long, You will do fine on your gallbladder surgery, plus you will feel better after its over. Well girls, I think I finally overate tonight and it wasn't anything bad but didn't think I had restriction. I feel sick at my stomach and maybe I don't have restriction. Maybe its just that I am not used to eating very much. Anyway, Janet glad to hear you are back. I am happy about the 25 and can't wait for the next 25 to come off. Kjill, your weight loss is just fine. Everyone looses a different pace. I just can't believe I have lost this much in 7 weeks. This band is great. I feel queezy again tonight. Talk with ya all later. Beckyo

Hi all tonight, Today is Wednesday and I weigh on Wed. I have lost 25 lbs. I am thrilled:tt1::thumbdown::tt1:. KJill, When did you get banded? Janet we know you are busy trying on all of your new clothes so we will excuse you for a while but are interested in how you girls are all doing one year out. I haven't had a fill yet and go back to Dr. on Aug. 12th but seem to be loosing fairly well so far. Today I had a scrambled egg with ff cheese on top and decaf coffee for b, was not hungry till supper so I had 1 bbq rib, a salad and half cup of corn on cob. then later I drank a Protein bullet. Janet, for some reason I have been queezy for about 3 or 4 days now. Anyone else have that problem? Its not horrible but it is annoying. Anyway happy about my 25 lbs off. Sounds like we are all doing pretty well on this band. Beckyo:rolleyes2:

Hi 50s group. Sounds like everyone is coming along okay. Long, good job on weight loss. Don't worry about Gallbladder surgery. It is almost exactly like lap band. Well my good news is I weighed today (Wed) and have lost 25 lbs.:thumbup:. I am thrilled since I have not had a fill yet. For the last few days though I have been queezy. Don't know what is causing that but don't like it. This 50s group is great. Beckyo:tt2: -

Good luck to all the new bandsters. You will all do just fine. I am with all you guys on the carb thing. the carbs get away from you fast and you constantly have to think about it. I can't seem to get my ticker changed either. for the last two days I have felt queezy for some rason and i don't really know why. Anyways I probably ate less than most days because of that, but I did get my walk in and went swimming. I get plenty ofprotein in but the carbs just seem to slip in. I guess fruit is pretty much a no no.I put it in my smoothie when I make one but one day I put a fresh peach in and man I couldn't believe how many carbs when I went to daily plate. Today I went to Steak and Shake and ordered a hamburger plain and a salad. I ate the meat, threw away the bun and ate most of the salad. I was full all day and I haven't had a fill yet. Some days I don't think band is working and other days I feel like I don't need a fill. Its strange. Glad to here Janet is back and can't wait to hear about the other Lucky seven gang and their weight loss journey. talk with you all tomorrow. Beckyo -
Hi there Janet, glad to see you are back and had a great time. Looks like you did real well on your shopping. I love to shop:biggrin:. I am interested in how the lucky seven is doing one year out with their lap bands. Are they doing as well as you. Did you have alot of notes to compare about your weight loss journeys? So tell us all about the girls and their journeys. We have all missed you at this thread and Phyl. From Wed to Wed last week I lost 1.6. now i weigh again on this Wed (tomorrow). For the last two days I have been nausious. I don't know why but I have. I am chaning my diet again. Now I am going to eat Protein first, veggies second and other stuff last. Last week I went out to Pasta House. Ate 1/3 of dinner. today I went to Steak and shake after my walk with my daughter and I ordered a steakburger plain and a small dinner salad. I ate the meat, pitched the bun and ate half the salad. I was full all day until tonight. Then I ate a Lean Quisine dinner which all went down fine but I think too many carbs in it. Can't wait to see your new clothes. :wink2: Beckyo

Long, how many fills have you had? I haven't had a pb yet and hope I don't but like I said, it is very hard for me to slow down with eating or drinking. I think I need a fill because I am hungry all the time. Janet, are you back yet? Hope you had a good time with with all the bandsters and hope you got to do some good shopping. Today I went swimming for a while and tonight I will go for a walk after dinner. Am doing okay but will write more later. I am glad the new bandsters are doing good with their band. Beckyo:tt2:

Boos, I was banded June 18th and really just started getting hungry. As much as I wanted to finish my meal at the restaurant I still am partially afraid to get sick so I don't push it. I probably could have eaten the whole meal but don't want to stretch my band before my first fill and I ate just until comfortable. Long, the salad came first and I ate a portion of it. I never had any problems with salad so far but chewed real well. But, remember, I have not even had a fill yet. My MAJOR problem is not slowing down. I can't get a handle on that. I want to gulp Water down and eat fast. I am trying to slow down but that is the hardest part for me. Beckyo:rolleyes2:

Hi to all today. Just checking in on Indio's thread to see how everyone is doing. Long, your gallbladder surgery will be just fine. I will pray for you. I myself am doing good. Walking 1.2 miles every day and eating pretty well. I still don't know if I have restriction yet because for one thing, I haven't tried to get overly full. Last night went out to Pasta House for dinner. Had 1/3 of salad, small eggplant parmesean (I skinned it first) and 1/4 c spaghetti. My sister said she thought I didn't eat enough dinner but I was just right. Not full at all so glad I stopped eating. It was soo good that I wanted to finish it all but I did not. For Breakfast yesterday I had 3 sausage links, one fried egg with one slice of light cheese and I was full all day until dinner. Also I had a Protein bullet in between. That was it for yesterday, so, am I restricted or do I need to be eating less. Glad everyone is doing well so far.:tt2: Beckyo

Long, your gallbladder surgery will go just fine. Its pretty much just like lap band surgery. It was a breeze for me. Good luck to all the new bandsters. It does seem a little scary before you do it but believe me, its not that bad at all and it does help you feel not hungry. My band was put on June 18th and I have done very well with it. Well just wanted to check in with everyone to see how you are doing. I lost 1.8 this week (from Wednesday to Wednesday) so I was happy about that. For me, the scale is still moving downward and I have not had a fill yet. Dr. says in August so we will see since I am still loosing so well. talk with you all later. Beckyo:rolleyes2: -

/hi all tonight, Carcol54 I use unjury powder for Protein and profect liquid bullets for protein. You can find Unjury at Unjury.com and profect bullets at Bariatric Advantage.com. Hey does this pb start when you start getting fills:crying:. I havent had a fill yet but its coming soon. Right now I can eat anything and I was banded June 18th so when I start getting fills I basically need to start over eating with teeny tiny bites right? Beckyo
