thank you Janet for your constant support. I don't know what I would do without this web site. It really helps me also and I know it helps everyone else to talk about this alot. Beckyo

Janet you go for it! Take everything you can get. I know I have a size 10 band so I don't know how much mine holds. If she is right then only 4cc. Today was a better day for me. unjury and skim milk B, L was 3oz canned chicken, 1/2 c cottage cheese, 1 snack size sugar free mandarin oranges. It was good. Supper was one chicken breast, large fresh tomato all cut up. Tonight it was plenty:embaressed_smile:. Went and took a 2.4 mile walk. I went to the mall for a while tonight. I don't know. I am loosing and also inches. Am glad for what I got but it does take alot of work. I just have to be patient. Am glad to hear everyone is doing well tonight. Beckyo:thumbup:

Hi all tonight. First of all Theresa, so sorry to hear about your dad and hope your husband is doing okay! You guys all talk about eating half cup at a meal. Last night I ate a ribeye steak, mixed vegetables and a baked potato. Even though I am still loosing, I have to eat to feel full. I have had one fill of 1.2cc and second was was .5cc. Neither one seemed to do a thing but I am working hard on my own to control my amounts of food and I am exercising alot. I hope I get to that spot eventually where I am not so hungry. I can eat a full bowl of thick chilli with no problem. But then I am satisfied. I dont know, it works differently on each of us but I will keep going until I get it right. Beckyo:tt1: -
Hi tonight friends! Sounds like we are all moving forward this week:thumbup:. Yea that Daily Plate really tells you everything you are high or low in. Its great. I really like it. I called the nutrionist today and had a talk with her. She says I am doing everything just exactly the way I should. She told me that my Dr. is not a band lover and is very very conservative with fills. She also said that he is one of the best surgeons in the Country. He just isn't a fan of lap band. I am still loosing but I am working very hard. She told me to go for a week and do more hard Protein to see if that helps with hunger. So I will do that. I mean I do have to eat other things also but will add more protein. She thinks I am doing great except she thinks my portions are too much. If I cut my portions down to 4 or 6 oz I really would be starving. If I get control of my hunger issues, I will really do well with this. Wheres our Janet tonight:blink:.Anyway, as they say PARTY ON :rolleyes2::tt1::drool: Beckyo

Hi tonight! Well I had a better day today. Ellen, I am really hungry. I know what head hunger is. I am very much in control right now of my choices because I want this soo bad. But, when you are hungry, you just are. Now I am doing the daily plate very very cautiously to see what is up. For two days I didn't have enough calories according to them and my weight. When I walk then that gives me even less calories since I burn them off. So, that being said, I am going to get the correct amount of calories in and see if that helps. Today I had unjury/skim milk B, L was toasted cheese on light wheat and fat free cheese and half cucumber slices. Supper was 5oz ribeye steak, 1/4 b potato with sour cream and mixed green vegetables. It finally stuck. I have not been hungry all evening. We will see. I am going to master this if this is the last thing I do. That Daily Plate website is really helpful in every thing you eat. It calculates it all out in black and white. I like that. If I was satisfied on a small amount of food like some of you are, I would have it made in the shade since I am in control. when hungry, thats when I start thinking the wrong way. Im glad today was better. Beckyo:thumbup:

I've been reading you two girls that have had overfills. I feel like I do not have enough fill. My second fill was very small on tuesday and it seems like nothing has happened. I am starving. By the same token, I don't want to get an overfill and not be able to eat. I can eat anything I want except I just don't overeat or eat anything bad since I am soo hungry. It sure would be alot easier to keep loosing if I wasn't soo hungry. Anyway I suppose I will get there. I am doing so good with weight loss except it has slowed down. I just want a little help with hunger ya know. Anyway enough of that for now. Glad to hear everyone is doing well so far. Beckyo -
Hi friends. Today is Sunday afternoon. I could not get on for some reason last night. Nothing spectacular this weekend. Went to a couple of juried fine arts fairs. Bought some gorgeous earrings. I love jewelry that is artist made. I love to shop also. Well since I had my little fill on Tuesday, nothing is any different. I went 24 hours on Clear liquids and then on to fulls and mushies and now regular. I got 05cc put in and it did absolutely nothing for me. Yesterday I made pot of chilli with extra lean ground round, I had Protein drink, coffee Cereal for b, lunch was nothing, early dinner I had bowl of chilli with a handful of oyster crackers. Then about an hour later, I had another bowl of chilli with no crackers. Felt satisfied then so at bedtime I had a sf pudding. I got on the daily plate last night and fooled around with that. According to them, I need to eat 1250 calories (thats with no exercise) a day for my weight in order to loose 3 lbs a week.I do try to walk every day. Today is Sunday and again, I am starving right now. I am going to call the Dr office tomorrow and see what they say. Anyway still trying to behave but am frustrated since I am so hungry. See ya tonight. Beckyo

Okay friends, I forgot some more. Janet, my Dr. did the first fill under fluro at 1.2cc and the second was blind at .5cc. I don't think he would take me in even if I did call to come in sooner. He is very strict about the band and he is also cut and dry to answers to your questions. He has been doing these for 11 years and is a very good surgeon. Hes got a very high reputation so I trust what he is saying. I just think he is conservative. Beckyo:biggrin:

I'm sorry Ellen. I meant to say Jill knows about the horseshoes in springfield. My old mind is fragile. tee hee Beckyo:smile:

Hi friends tonight! Charlene soo glad to hear you made it through the hurricane ordeal. Man I sure wouldn't want to be in one of those. Long, my band is a size 10. I have read on other threads that this size only actually holds 4cc. It could have been you that I read that about. Is that true? My Dr. believes that you need to learn how to use this tool by relearning eating, excercise, etc. In which, that is fine, except I want my tool to help me so that I am not soo hungry. I really do work hard at all of this program. Ellen, arent those horseshoes good. Can't really have those anymore. I think the Dublin Pub or D'arcys Pint both are Irish and both serve them. Janet, I am getting along today. I am on Clear liquids so basically I am having Protein drinks, Water, crystal light today. I walked 2.4 very fast miles today which has a nice steeeeeeep hill. Its hard but I keep doing it and it keeps getting a little bit easier every time. Thats all for tonight. Glad to hear you are all doing well tonight. Keep up the good work Beckyo:biggrin:

Hi tonight friends. I went to Dr today and second fill was .05cc. It sure doesn't seem like much for a second fill. I was dissapointed but I will wait and see for a few days. My dr must go slow with his patients. I guess I am just impatient wanting to get to a sweet spot. Beckyo -
Hi tonight, I went to the Dr. today and my second fill was.05cc. My first was 1.2cc. I think that this fill was very conservative if you ask me. I am going to wait a few days and see if this helps my hunger issues. I guess some people do get that small of a fill but I really expected more. I sure hope this helps me. He said that this much can really make a difference on some people. We will see. I was kind of dissapointed today but four more weeks. I got to give it a chance ya know. Okay Becky, be patient!!! Like I said I do just fine most of the time except when I am starving. Enough ranting and raving for now. How is everyone else doing so far? Beckyo

Lizalee, you hit it on the head about missing out on alot of fun. I too, was always a fun and outgoing person who was small. I had a daughter age10, then ten years later I had another daughter and 14 months later, I had a son and daughter (twins). Quit my job to stay home with children and the rest is history. I gained weight and gained and gained. I never really thought that my life was clouded because of weight issue. I thought I was just depressed from being a career person to a stay at home mom. In reading everyone elses stories I now realize that my weight had alot to do with decisions I made and places I went. I think I wanted to hide all the time. I still have a long way to go yet but I feel better now that I know what will be at the end of the tunnel. I also felt like I was going into retirement mode at this age, only one kid left at home, etc. and it was too late for me. Well guess what! Its not too late for any of us at this age. I want to have a tummy tuck at the end and I think, what does a lady my age want that for? I want to go out with a bang! I want that flat stomach ya know. I think we all have the same similar feelings don't we. Is this midlife?????:tt2: Beckyo:tt1: -
Hi everyone tonight, I know that loosing 7 lbs in a month is great. I am not complaining about what I have lost. I am thrilled with it. What does bother me though is that I have had to work my &^($@#$%! off to get to this point. I want some help for my hunger. I do great when I am not hungry but I think the fill would really help make it a little easier for me. This is only my second fill if I get one so I am pretty glad for what I have lost so far. I just want to keep this thing going steady. I have been hungry all week this week for some reason. Janet, just strut out there in front of the camera and smile real big, do a turn and tell your story in a short version. You will do great. Think of all of us when you are in there. I walked one fast mile today, had nails done tonight and now I am going to bed. Talk with you all later. Beckyo

Ellen, Kathy you girls are doing fine since vacation. I too had a first fill on August 18. Today is September 14 and have lost 7lbs. I go on Tuesday and am hoping for a fill since I think I can eat more than I should. I do try to be careful but even with being careful, a person can eat too much. tonight I went to Steak and Shake for dinner. I had a double steakburger, only ate the meat (no bun or anything else) and half cup of chilli. I felt like that was way too much to eat but it really wasnt horrible if you think about it. For once tonight I felt satisfied with my meal and I am not hungry one single bit tonight. Hey Janet, a horseshoe or ponyshoe(smaller version) is bread or toast on the bottom, then a meat of your choice (chicken, hamburger, ham, pork loin, bacon, whatever), then frenchfries, then that is all covered in either white or yellow cheese sauce. Very fattening but very delicious. They became famous here in Springfield. People make them as breakfast shoes also. Very popular here. I cant eat that any more. Out there where you live is probably alot of mexican huh:thumbup:Beckyo:lol:

Thanks Phyl for the information on the free animation. I will go over there and take a look at that and see what funny stuff I can come up with:biggrin: Beckyo -
Man Janet, you are small! If I get to a size 8 I would be thrilled. It seems impossible now but my daughters already say I look much better. I am walking as much as I can stand though plus all the other things I do. Before banding I would not have even ordered baked chicken. I would have ordered a big ole horseshoe with white cheese. It feels like I ate alot tonight but really I didnt. I know this takes time. Anyway, I love your clothes and style. As soon as I learn how I am going to post some pictures so everyone can see my progress. Its nice to see a face with all of the conversation. Its good to see someone who has had that much success with this band. Good job:thumbup: . Beckyo

JANET, YOU LOOK FABULOUS:tt1:. I like the outfit in frame 3, the first outfit. I like all of your clothes though. What size are those clothes? I will be glad when I can look like that. It seems like forever to get there but we are all trying hard. Sometimes I get discouraged. This is day two that I haven't walked (rain). I haven't lost any weight for 9 days. Keep going up and down. I go Tuesday so I hope I get a fill. Tonight went to dinner. Didn't have good choices. I chose baked chicken, salad and mashed potatoes. I ate all of salad, one whole piece of chicken and half of the other piece and half of potatoes. That was way way too much ya know:unsure:. I am full now but I hate myself for eating that much. I was starved when I got there so thats what did it. Oh well. Tomorrow is a new day. I sure hope I get a fill soon. Beckyo

I can't figure out how to get all of that funny animation either. I would like to jazz up my space also when I write. Janet, that chile cheese thing does sound good. I think you should wear a very snug dress with nylons that have lines up the back and some high heels. You show off that body girl:thumbup:. Beckyo -
Hi girls tonight (Friday). Joann, you are going to be a great bandster. You have the whole concept down correctly. Janet, glad to hear you are going to be a movie star:thumbup:.You deserve to do that commercial with all of the work you have done, not just with yourself but with all of us. I havent had too much cheating going on at all throughout my band process. My problem always happens about a week before I am going to go to the Dr. which tells me I must be ready for a fill again. I have been eating those Quakers Rice Cakes minis in Ranch. They are good. Sounds like everyone is doing okay so talk with ya all later. Beckyo:rolleyes:

Hi girls tonight, Charlene- hope you got out of there:cursing:.Went and took a fast two mile walk tonight. Just got home a little while ago. Gosh Janet, hope you leg is okay:thumbdown:. Thats a bummer. We don't need you to be down and out now. Just keep it on ice and rest it a little bit. Maybe you will have to skip a time or two of exercise. I know thats not what you want to here. My daughter went so friggen fast around the park that she about killed me. She says its good for me but then again she is 24 and thin and I am 54 and fat ya know. I am getting so much better at puttin on the speed when I walk now. Just checking in tonight. Hope everyone is doing well. Beckyo:biggrin:

Welcome to all newbies. Glad to see the Illinois people on here so close to me. Madame, I think you need to give yourself some time with this program. Listen to Janet. You have to do some of the work yourself but you are barely out of the healing stages. BE PATIENT!! As far as eating goes, I have had one fill of 1.2 in a 10 band. I can gulp a half can of tropicana orange drink or 1/4 bottle of water. This is a problem for me. I can't slow down. I think I need a fill myself. Yesterday I had egg beaters and cheese, applesauce for B, Lunch was soup, Supper was Tilapia (5oz) half baked potato and cup of mixed vegetables. I could have eaten more, so I think I can eat alot if I let myself. I try not to overeat at all since I don't want that sick feeling. Sooo, that being said, you new bandsters have to do some of the control on your own. Talk with you all tonight! Beckyo
