Hi to all tonight (Monday). Today it was highof 48 degrees. I put on my coat and hat and went to the park and walked 2.4 miles anyway. It actually felt pretty good. I would way rather walk outdoors in the cold, than in the heat. I took the leftover swiss steak and today I made a pot of Vegetable Soup. I added some extra vegetables. I can not get roast meat down so I ate around it and ate all of the vegtables. Sure was good tonight on a cold night. then I ate some grapes. Where is Joann Marie? I think thats her name. She is usually on here quite a bit. Long, it sounds like you are loosing really steady. Janet, I am glad you are back. We like to talk to you. I will talk with you all later. Have a good evening. Hi to all tonight (Saturday). Haven't been on for a few days since I had alot of stuff going on. I have been doing well for the last few days. Eating right and all. Tomorrow is daughter #2 birthday. I made a butter cake tonight. Did not even bother me to make it. Tomorrow I am making swiss steak, mashed potatoes, salad, cream corn and rolls for her dinner. I am going to eat mashed potatoes tomorrow. I know this so I planned. I have been walking 2.4 every day but some days its tiring for me. Anyway I haven't changed my ticker yet but I am at 44 lbs now. I work for five lbs at a time now so I have one more to go. I am still hungry but I do notice a difference with the last fill. I am eating meat and vegetables mostly and a Protein Drink during the day and it seems to be holding on okay. My weight loss is slow in my opinion but I am very greatful for everything I got so far. Glad to hear everyone is doing well. Beckyo:cool2:

Hi to all tonight! (Wednesday). I had a good day today. Janet I am glad to hear that everything is going along okay for you. We miss you here, but you take your time and get things situated at home. I am truly sorry about your brothers passing. I have never lost a sibling before but I have both of my parents. Anyway I am having trouble changing my ticker for some reason. For those of you who are struggling, I think Phyl's advice about the 5 day pouch test is a great way to get back on track. Keep your head up and keep trying! Phyl, do you live by Janet. I know you are close with her but didn't realize you were close enough to attend her brothers funeral. I have been thinking about her alot and sure do miss talking to her. You are doing a good job filling in. Jill, on the lettuce issue. I do eat salads but I eat vegetables more. The salad I had the other night had cheese, meat, eggs in it but kept it on the low side. Last night I made stuffed green peppers, baked potatoes and brocolli, cauliflower mixture. Well I was starving and first bite of pepper and I got stuck. I got to slow down. Had to put in on the stove with foil. Went for a 2.4 mile walk, Was still hungry so this time I came back, warmed it up and ate it very slow and very small bites and got it all down. I just have to eat small bites and slow. I have started doing things a little differently. I am strictly eating Protein first, vegetables second, and then waiting for 10 minutes to see if I need more. It is working better for me. I did not make myself a potato last night either. I went grocery shopping and bought alot of various vegetables to use with my protein. This time I bought fresh fruit also. I'm out for tonight. See ya all later. Beckyo PS. I bought and Indian Blanket coat off of Ebay last week. It is all wool and very beautiful and most of all it is xlarge. It is navy, green and brick red. I love it. Just thought I would add that in. Now girls, come on! Lets get back in the groove!. I had an okay day today but didn't get all food in. Then for supper tonight, I made a large salad and ate the whole thing. I mean it was big. I can't believe I could even eat that much. I know I shouldn't but that was my supper and I didn't have too many foods in. Now I kind of feel sick at my stomach. In my opinion, I should not be able to hold that much at one time. I ate it real slow too. I did get a 2.4 mile walk in but it wasn't all that fast today but at least I did it. Thats how you got to think. Just get something different to eat. I think one big key is to not let yourself get hungry. Thats what causes me to slip, if I am hungry. Well have a good night. Beckyo

Saturday Evening! Hello! Wheres everyone at? I took my grandkids on pumpkin walk at the park tonight. Last week they carved them. This weeked they were all lit up at the Carillon. They played the bells. It was nice. There was 2000 pumpkins carved and lit all over the park. It was really cool! There was probably about 8,000 people that went through it. There were bonfires. It was nice. Anyway I had a really good day yesterday as far as food and today I really haven't eaten enough and need to get more calories in so will do better tomorrow. Hope everyone is doing okay this weekend. I miss Janet. I will be glad to hear back from her. I know she is hurting right now but we are all here to help her through this also. thanks everyone for all of your support. I appreciate your thoughts on all of these matters. today is Thursday evening. I had the .5cc fill on Tues. This morning I made small portion of egg beaters. Guess What! I got stuck. On an egg for crying out loud. I took two or three bites and that was the end of that. thats a first. Maybe this fill is settling in a little bit better. I haven't been hungry today at all until this evening. And ya know what! I am going to loose my weight once and for all. We are all in this together. Beckyo:tt1:

Well hi to all tonight (Wed). I ate lightly today since the fill yesterday. Mostly mushie. I have had that thought that the Dr. wants the money. My insurance company pays for my fills but My drs nurse and his nutrionist has had this conversation with patients countless times as they have told me. They have both told me that he is very hard headed about giving fills and makes the patient work as hard as they can without fill. He doesn't have a very good bedside manner if ya know but I have been told that he is an excellent surgeon in general and he really knows his stuff. He is not a believer in the lap band and he is the one that brought that program to that Hospital Center of Excellence. He keeps telling me that I will only loose about 50 lbs out of the 100 I want to loose. I have a question. I have 1.2cc, .5cc, .5cc = 2.2cc total. As each one of these fills are put in, does this continually build up until you get to your sweet spot? Does the band get tighter and tighter as it goes along. Or, does this give the same restriction each time up until the end. What I am wondering is will I eventually get to a sweet spot, even going slow? Beckyo

To Janet, So sorry to hear about the loss of your baby brother. I know this will be hard for you but time will somehow heal. You have been such a good friend to all of us and helped us all soo much and now if there is anything we can do for you we will be here always. You feel like my sister. Please except my heartfelt condolences. To the rest of you, we will have to keep each other up and supported during Janets absence. On another note, I went to Dr. today. I lost 4 lbs since last time I was in there. He gave me third fill of 0.5cc. First was 1.2, second was .05. He asked me what I had for Breakfast so I told him I had egg beaters with a slice of fat free cheese. He asked how much. I said probably two eggs worth. His reply was "Well, I can be full on two eggs". He said, did you think the band was going to do the work. I say no I am doing everything I am supposed to be doing, I just thought for a $20,000 surgery that I might ask for a little more help. His reply was nope only 0.5 is all you are getting. Am I asking for too much? We will see how this fill goes. Beckyo

Hi all tonight (Sunday). Apples, I sure would like to be on the farm with you and all those Cookies. I cook alot also, I made a chocolate cake with frosting today for dh. I haven't had any of it either. I am crabby again today. My neck has been hurting for about a week now. I think I need an adjustment or something. I've tried resting it and everything. I have a bad disc in my upper back and I think that is what is causing this neckache. Anyway it is making me feel really bad with a headache and all. Today I took my long walk and ate pretty normal. Stayed around 850 cal. Weight is pretty much staying the same so far this month. Gotta keep focused on this plan. Joanmarie, you will be banded before you know it and you don't have to worry about a thing. You are going to do great on the plan. You are doing great right now with your thoughts and being focused. Hey apples, hope you are feeling better tonight (Saturday). I used to have similiar attacks like that and they always happened at night. It turned out to be anxiety attacks for me but got rid of it and I don't have them anymore. Janet, I just want to say that I don't think I could get through this program so easily right now if it wasn't for this thread. I went and walked today 2.4 miles. I am getting that in every day but I am fighting this hunger thing, This morning I made egg beaters with a slice of fat free cheese on it. That helped some but then I cleaned, etc. etc and then walked and was hungry again. Had a hamburger patty with no bun for lunch and a salad. tonight went out for dinner and had salad and a 5 oz piece of grilled chicken. I had Protein three times today and it is evening and I am hungry again. I am going to talk with Dr on Tues but he is the boss if ya know what I mean. What he says, goes. We will see. I think that walking is helping me alot also and believe it or not it still makes me very tired. there is a really steep hill that accounts for 1/4 of the 1.4 mile walk and I do it twice. That hill kills me. Sometimes I walk fast,slow, fast, slow and man does that do me in. My daughters think I am doing good though. See ya later friends, Beckyo:lol:

Hi tonight to everyone (Friday). I went on 2.4 mile walk today and did pretty well with food today but I am really hungry. I can't imagine eating only 1/2 c per meal. Maybe I will get to that point soon and then really start knocking some weight off. I have lost pretty steady but it is getting slower now. Apples, I think I'll come to your farm and eat dinner. That meal sounds so good that you were fixing. I love to cook and thats why I love to eat soo much. That is why I really need restriction. I do behave as well as I can but I sure could use some help. I went shopping for a while today and tried some things on in smaller sizes. Some things fit, almost fit or didn't fit at all but I am going down in size. Well thats all for now. Catch ya all later.! Hi all today (Thursday). Im crabby today and don't know why. No one can go walk tonight so I guess I will head over there and get my walk in. I like to walk in am better but oh well. I keep doing that daily plate and I think I am getting in too many carbs/fats. I am getting in plenty of Protein though. I also have bad discs in my back. One down low and one up in my bra line area. That one bothers me alot. I worked in the yard today for a while and babysat my GS. Hes one, soon to be two. He is a cutie. I will be glad to get back to the Dr. on Tuesday and hopefully get a fill. I think I need one. So far fill 1=1.2cc, fill 2=.5cc. that second fill did'nt do a whole lot for me but I think walking helps alot. I am going to get access to an indoor pool and go tread Water for 30 minutes a few times a week. I was reading that treading water actually burns alot more calories than walking so why not do both. Hi to all tonight (Wednesday). first of all, Gail, so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. Time will heal your pain but it takes time. I remember when I lost my mother and dad. I still miss my mom. Today I had okay day with food. Did alot of odds and ends. Then worked on bills, went for 2.4 mile walk and came home fixed dinner, went got my nails done. I too have that bladder problem. Mine is worse this year than its ever been. I am going to have to do something soon. Talk with ya tomorrow. Glad everyone doing okay. Beckyo:tt1:

Hi tonight. I went to a lap band support group tonight and there was a plastic surgeon to explain all of the surgeries. It was pretty interesting. It isn't cheap though as you all know. Anyway, it was a good meeting. I was looking for Freedom (don't know her name but she posts on here alot) but no one matched up with her. Anyway, today was uneventful. I did so much yesterday that I was tired today. It was rainy so I didn't get my walk in either. Its just one of those days where I want to cheat on food. It is getting late so I know I won't but it is a mindset that you have to ignore. WE all keep plugging away at this weight loss and it is hard. I don't know why but at home I think I am thinner and then when I go somewhere I think I look large. You are right Janet. We still want to think like a fat chick. Catch ya alll later!!!!! Hi everyone tonight (Monday). glad to hear everyone is doing well this weekend. I had a better day today as far as food goes. I was busy, I washed all the windows, 4 loads of laundry, weeded a portion of my garden which was a big chore in itself, changed the sheets on the bed, cooked dinner and walked 2.4 miles. I am beat tonight but thought I would put in a short post. I also drink coffee in the morning and it doesn't bother me. I got a stuck today on chicken. It went down but it hurt for a minute. I think I ate too fast. Ya gotta go slow with food. I am signing off so I can go do my daily plate for today but will check in with you all tomorrow. Beckyo:thumbup:

Hi everyone tonight (Sunday). How was everyones weekend. Mine was pretty good. I walked Saturday but not today. Yesterday I was off track on my food. I had coffee and unjury protein with milk for B, went to lunch at Steak and Shake with my daughter. Well i started to order steakburger (no bun) and salad but I got sidetracked. I got a chilli mac instead. So calorie wise I didn't have much room left for the rest of the day. I ate the whole thing and could have eaten more. Last night I had pudding, orange and thats it. I tried to not be too bad. It seems like I am able to eat more and more again. I don't go to the Dr. until next Tuesday (14Th) so I have a few days to go. I sure hope I get a little more restriction than I have had, especially with the Holidays coming ya know. I am still loosing but it is alot slower now. Hope everyone is doing good tonight. BeckyO_

Today you Celebrate 70 lbs gone and today I celebrate 40 gone:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:.:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:YES, YES, YES:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:.I am thrilled with my 40 and can't wait for 70. When I get a fill I hope to loose more weight. Wheres Janet? See Janet, how much you keep all of us going. We are all keeping each other going. Hi ya all tonight! Welcome to all the newbies at this thread. It is great!!!!OMG JANET! You even lookthinner in the commercial clothing than you did last time. You absolutely look fantastic. Isn't it hard to believe that you look like this now in looking back. I can't imagine looking like that again but I am going to. I went to dinner tonight and had catfish, salad and mixed vegetables. Man it was soooo good. Couldn't eat it all but thats ok. Glad to hear everyone is doing sooo well. On the QVC, I love alot of their stuff, especially their JEWELRY. It is great. I like Robert Lee Morris jewelry and I love alot of their gold. I have never tried their clothes. I tried clothes on today and things are looking better and better. I love winter clothes so my season is just beginning. I love clothes and jewelry and have alot of nice things and can't wait for more tee hee!!!.QVC has really nice silver. I am a TJ MAXX fan big time. They get the coolest stuff in their stores. I also like Artisan made jewelry alot. Janet, I'm with you on the man thing. Hi tonight! Ya know girls I don't get that calorie thing. Daily Plate tells me at my current weight that I need to eat around 1200 a day to loose about 3 lbs a week. Well, i do stick to less than that and I am sure not loosing 3 a week. Now I walk 2 1/2 miles a day so why isn't this equasion working for me. My weight loss is slow right now anyway but how does this not work for me? Just curious. Beckyo:biggrin:

Janet, your babies are awful cute! You girls eat alot less calories than I do. I eat about 1000 calories a day. I have no restriction so I am working pretty hard at this. Anyway I had a better day today with food. I got alot of Protein in. I am full tonight. I had grilled chicken breast and fresh asparagus on the grill and a salad for supper tonight. I was able to eat all of it. I keep wanting to buy clothes also but I buy them for smaller sizes. I see something really cute that I think I won't ever see again and its not my size and I buy it and save it for later.:biggrin:.Isn't that crazy. I sure got some cute stuff that would probably not even fit Janet anymore. tee hee! Beckyo

I say Congratulations to you also JoanMarie!!!. You will be a great lap band patient and plus you have a sense of humor so I hope you stay on with all of us. Well I measured today and from August 26 to September 26, I lost 7 1/2 inches. I have not joined a gym yet but I have been walking 2.4 miles almost every day for a good solid month or month and half. I was happy with that also except we all know where it comes off of the first so thats where I lost the most inches first (2 1/2 in).:thumbup: Anyway I keep plugging away at this. You girls are my inspiration. I went shopping tonight with my sister and when I looked in the mirror at the Mall I did not look as thin as I think I look at home. Anyway it kind of bothered me but it is too soon to be bothered. I am loosing weight and inches and I will win this issue just like everyone else. Janet, that was nice to see what your weight loss history is. That helped me tonight also to rethink. I think us newbies just loose so much in the beginning that it spoils us to loose faster.
