    Poll: What is your goal?

    My Realistic goal weight is 199 lbs. 175 woyld be the lowest I would go. I am not petite or dainty. I have wide, broad shoulders and hips for days! I have been under 175 before and I look sickly. I want the weight gone, but I don want to look as bad as when I was heavy. I have lost a lit of weight in my face.

    OCTOBER SLEEVERS CHECK IN HERE

    I have been at a stall for a few weeks now. But my measurements are down. Been having some depression and a lot of pain. Today was my 6 month check up, but I had to cancel because I am sick! (Strep throat is floating around our household!) so i need to reschedule. Weight was 350. Day of Surgery I was 260. 6 months 207. My measurements blew me away! 1/2016- 4/25/18 Weight 350 - 207 = 143 lbs Bust 53” - 44 1/2” = 8.5” Waist 48” - 40” = 8” Hips 59” - 48 1/2 “ = 10.5” R arm 17” - 14 1/2” = 2.5” L arm 17” - 14 1/2” = 2.5” R thigh - 29.5” - 25” = 4.5” L thigh - 29” - 25” = 4” 40.5” total lost!     Poll: What is your goal?

    I originally started at 350, That was the beginning of 2016. When I went in for surgery I was 260. Yes 90 lbs lost on my own. I know I can do it, but I cant keep it off. My goal realistically is 199 lbs. Unrealistic is 175 lbs. anything under 175 will not look good on me. I have wide, broad shoulders. I am built different. Wide hips. I am stuck at my current weight and I know I need to exercise. Thats my down fall. There were 2 celebrations! When I was down 100 lbs, and just recently, the first time since 1999, that I am under a size 20 jean! Even my jeans made it to onederland! Lol

    Spouse of a WLS patient

    I have to admit, I am still not ok with going out to eat. First off, drink with a straw, a big nono and my body lets me know after awhile. Food choices usually are slim. Alcohol also if he has an occasional drink. None for 6 months. The food part isnt too bad for me. The big thing is not drinking anything for 30 min after. I think it is awesome you are supporting him. Maybe ask him? I cook for the other 4 in the house, (my cousin and her family) and afterwards come back over to my area (I have an efficiency apartment that is attached to their house) and make my dinner.   5. It is never too late! Unfortunately those cravings like others have said, is a real thing. They dont go away. The hunger does. Since I have had the surgery 10/17/17, there has only been a handful of times that I have actually been hungry. Boredom and my sleep schedule are the main reasons I gained my weight to begin with. You have to remember that by midnight your body is wanting more fuel. There were days I didnt sleep at all, or sometimes for up to 5 days at a time. Your body needs a way to keep going. Now that I have a decent sleep schedule, my body requires way less for fuel. I do go to a counselor, and that is a good start of why. I agree with contacting your nutritionist. Also a support group might be a good idea. (I have social anxiety. But I have 1 friend 4 years out from the sleeve and another 5 years out from bypass, so a lot of support and help!)   6. I have had acid reflux for probably 20 years. It did get worse with surgery. I now take 80 mg of protonix a day (used to be 40) and carafate 4 times a day.   7. So I got dressed this morning and realized the shirt I had on was one I remembered on my timeline on Facebook. This actually hit me! I dont even look like the same person. I always say I cant tell the difference much.. this proves we are so used to looking down on ourselves when we look in the mirror! Although I dont like my turkey neck and saggy boobs, I wouldnt change the way I feel now for anything! 5 months out and even started at the gym (only 1 day a week, as I go with a friend who is from out if town) 1st pic is 11/2016 at 290 lbs, 2nd pic today at 207 lbs.   13. I was talking to a friend and explaining why I cant get to the gym. He said what about we go together? (i dont drive) and so Saturday night was the first time I walked into a gym to work out. So he showed me how to set up the treadmill. I was on it for an entire 30 minutes! I started slow on 1. I was up to 2.3 and walked 2 mile. I really can not do alot with upper body because of weight limit as per my dr. So i did the stationary bike for 10 minutes. Lol little accomplishments that mean so much!     What about protein shakes? They are the only thing I could think of. powerade zero, sugar free vitamin water, sugar free propel. Jello. Sorry I dont have many answers. Oh and if you are drinking sugar free, check the label. I cant do crystal light, (they use sweet n low). Makes me soooo sick. I use 4C, they use splenda.   16. You fit in a size 18! I havent been in 18s since 1998! Finally out of the 20s! I was probably about a size 28, or even 30! For once I went to the clothing closet at my weight management center, and everything I got fits except for 1 dress! Usually i am able to wear 1 or 2 items! I did also get a vs nightshirt and a LLR Randy style shirt. I got a dress for Easter. The top doesnt fit! I dont think my boobs would ever fit! A very successful day!     I am so very thankful for it! I took 5 bags to donate and came home with a white trash bag full! There is supposed to be a limit of 5 outfits. But they never limit for me.
