WOW, my surgery was the same day and my numbers/experience is almost exactly like you. At my 2 week post op meeting with the surgeon, I mentioned my "slow down" and she said it was expected and she was not concerned at all. She said it was "to soon". Im on a soft/pureed food bu I am eating mostly ground beef/Turkey and sometimes eggs. I made a meatloaf and handled that pretty well. 4-5 oz of food max for me at this time and averaging 500-600 calories a day. Not much hunger but I think that is slowly coming back also. Im on this for a total of 5 weeks, then back to normal food. Im started the gym today so hoping the weight loss increases. It better or I'm asking for my stomach back -

Beth Israel Milton- Dr. Bresnik.....I'd give them a B-. Dr, Bresnik seems to be a fine surgeon, and I feel safe in her hands, but her bedside manner is not the best. The rest of the team seems to be just "by the books" with no real geniuine care for me as an individual. I hate to say this, but I think its important to get information like this out to anybody thinking of having the surgery and have them do their research. -

FULL LIQUID DIET POST-OP HELP!!!!!!!!

I am at the exact timeline as you. I am doing a protein shake in the morning (about 7 or 8am). Takes me about 15 minutes to get thru that. I feel like I could suck the whole thing down, but I don't. I also have 1 or 2 cups of coffee (against my NUT's advice). Around 11am I have one or 2 cups of Cream of chicken or mushroom soup. This also only takes me at the most 1/2 hour to consume. I also get in my second protein shake by about 2pm. I have no adverse effects except maybe a few burps and a lot of noise in the gut. I try and get 1 or 2 12oz bottles of water by this time. My wife gets home bout 4:30 and for dinner I watch her eat. Then around 6pm I have my final protein shake. I also sip water thru out the day. I was 244 on the day of my surgery 1/28/17 and weighed 236 today. I weigh myself about 4 times a day. Any questions let me know. -
