Try to only stick to 1 Tablespoon of hemp hearts because they are high in fiber. Nice thing is it's great for people who are constipated all the time. I learned my lesson when I had 3 tablespoons..lol..TMI Sent from my Nexus 5 using BariatricPal mobile app

I have that off/on and was told by a nurse ,that it's our stomach. And not to be too worried about it. It could be still healing. Sent from my Nexus 5 using BariatricPal mobile app -

Protein intake 4 weeks post op
sunshinetinks replied to Hawkeye4's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
25 to 35 grams of protein can be absorbed during one meal. That's what I remember of my nutritional class. If I am wrong I am sure someone will chime in on this site. Sent from my Nexus 5 using BariatricPal mobile app -

Like to one day do the Camino Trail. I have terrible back issues, where my legs go numb. I am hoping to lose enough weight to turn this around. And looking at your profile picture ,I would just once live to run a marathon one day Whatever you do, I wish you much success on your journey. The Camino Trail is just a suggestion...and by the way the rest of us are jealous that you reached your goal! Sent from my Nexus 5 using BariatricPal mobile app -

It's understandable, a lot of people feel this way. Ask if you can get a Valium prior to going into surgery.Best of luck on your weight loss journey. Sent from my Nexus 5 using BariatricPal mobile app -

You are an educated woman. This is your body. You are the one who is carrying this weight. It's your decision not his. Your body, your decision. I think you are a smart woman and you already know what the answer is. Best of luck . Sent from my Nexus 5 using BariatricPal mobile app -
Losing the hair too, just started falling out this week. But I am losing pounds too. Hope you feel more positive soon. Sent from my Nexus 5 using BariatricPal mobile app

It's pretty normal. I am losing about half a pound a day sometimes it doesn't move. I have had 3 stalls that lasted 2 weeks, and one week. But saying all of that ,I have lost about 57 lbs, and my surgery was Nov. 1. 2017. I think that's not bad. I too thought I would lose weight at a faster pace. Take pictures of yourself, you will see huge differences. Best of luck on this journey. Sent from my Nexus 5 using BariatricPal mobile app

Restarted my CPAP last night . Haven't used it since leaving the hospital because I struggle to sleep with it on. I woke up this morning, weighed myself and I dropped 2 pounds. Don't know if it's coincidental. But i will take it! I don't think your to old. But it's your choice.I am 54 and I was 299lbs. I was pre diabetic and a fatty liver. This was the best decision I have ever made. I knew I couldn't do it on my own any longer. I needed help. It's only a tool. You still have to try every day. Sent from my Nexus 5 using BariatricPal mobile app

It was tolerable. Your on strong meds. Nurses were always asking how my pain was, always ready to give more if needed. You are up and walking within 6 hrs. Force yourself to get up. The nurses helped me the first time to get out of bed and helped me walk but after that I did everything on my own. Just listen to what the nurses tell you. You will do great. The pain was a 6 for me...childbirth and kidney stone were a 10 ! Sent from my Nexus 5 using BariatricPal mobile app
