Thanks so much. I’m very confident in Dr. Svendsen. I just want the day to get here already. My fears are mostly getting sick as I’m phobic of throwing up. -
Sending good vibes your way! Hope the gas passes soon (: can you keep water down yet?

Thanks for the advice!! Any ideas and tips are very appreciated! I hope when I’m at that stage I’m not weak from so few calories. I worry about keeping my energy up for work, etc.

That is great to hear! Are the days immediately after the surgery as difficult as the 2 weeks before?

St. Paul here - would love to get and give support to the locals! My surgery is at United on June 23. I am very anxious to get it moving. Support groups are pretty far away from me. Happy Monday! Megan

Hang in there I am nervous about this stage too...start on July 9th. Are you drinking enough water? Sometimes this can be a reason for fatigue. -

Someone told me to bring sugar free mints or other hard candy. Wonder if that’s ok. -
Get a ton of rest, drink plenty of water, and if it is ok to do at this point before your surgery, get some vitamin c or EmergenC. Hope you feel better soon!!

Hang in there!!

Hi all, I am 5 weeks out from surgery. My brother who is also my roommate has told me twice “if you just didn’t eat junk food or fast food you wouldn’t need that surgery.” He also asked if I think maybe surgery is a bit extreme. I’m at a total loss how to answer him. I did say that even if I dieted and exercised vigorously I would still be diabetic, but with surgery chances are the diabetes will be reversed. Is he right!? Am I just denying the truth and being lazy? I’m feeling defeated and unsure right now. Megan
