    Hunger.

Well done Walter! You are doing so good. I’ve heard that it’s because you need antacid too so that’s interesting and worth a try I reckon [emoji16]

I think it’s so great to do this while you are still young. Maybe chat to a consellor? Best of luck to you and I hope it all works out well

    I haven't told anyone

This is really hard for you. Afterwards you will be on quite a different diet and I think it becomes obvious. Also what if you had complications and ended up in ICU. It’s a major operation. I’m in Australia so this would never be done as outpatient. I really feel for you. Also I guess the question is ... why do you need your husbands permission. But I do understand that it is really difficult. I did know one girl who told her husband it was a hernia repair. He dropped her off and picked her up and still thinks to this day that she’s lost weight because she can’t eat properly after the hernia repair. Same sort of recovery see. I still think it would be good to have your husbands support if anything went wrong though. I really do.

    I haven't told anyone

I wondered about this and then I decided to just tell. So my family and my 2 best friends know. I’ve had nothing but amazing support. I know that’s not always the case though. I’m not going to announce it to anyone else but when I lose weight and they ask them I will tell. Go on gut feel I reckon. Best of luck to you on your amazing journey [emoji16]
  6. You look fabulous! So wonderful to see [emoji16]
  7. You look fabulous! Well done [emoji16]
  8. Yes me too. Congrats you champ x
  9. I would be worried about the smoking, just because of the risk of ulcers especially with a bypass. I’m not sure about the alcohol, I think I read somewhere 3 months. You sound like you’re doing pretty well with the food though. I understand it’s hard with these changes and we often fall back into the familiar. I used to smoke many years ago and I think people do find it relaxing so it’s a hard habit to break. But for you it’s pretty dangerous so I guess forewarned is forearmed. I don’t expect everyone is an angel but I do think it’s probably important to follow the plan in terms of not slipping back into bad habits. It’s so easy to sabotage yourself. I wish you the very best of luck. We are all human and don’t always make the right choices. Give it some thought.
  10. I’m sure she didn’t mean it either [emoji173]️

  13. I have to stay in 2 nights. I’m happy with this as I think it’s appropriate and safe. I know people have done really well with day surgery but gawd I’ve seen too many complications in my career to be happy with that.
  14. Yea, I think it’s probaly hormones. And yea it’s not a foreign body but I knew exactly what you meant because it probaly feels like it!!! Very best of luck to you, I think you’re doing great. Did you manage to get to your doc? X

When did you have coffee again?

That’s really interesting because I’ve been wondering about that. In my plan in Australia they say coffee is fine to have. We do have the best coffee in the world though [emoji12] But I do wonder if that’s also a calorie thing... in Australia we tend to drink it black or flat white which is coffee and milk but small sizes, not the large sizes with flavours and stuff. I did have trouble in Vancouver ordering coffee, I was being given these large buckets of milk with flavours until I found an Australian girl working in whole foods who knew how to make me a flat white! I am teasing a bit [emoji23][emoji23] But the acidity... that’s interesting and worth thinking about [emoji16]
