Any January 2018 Sleevers?
Brittanyblue replied to VSGnewguy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
As long as you don’t gain weight during the 2 weeks you should be fine. My surgeon made it clear that if I gained weight by the surgery date it will be cancelled. Just don’t gain, you’ll be fine [emoji5] -
You have no clue how much your response made me feel better! I thought I was the only one not being able to eat much.

The mobile app doesn’t let you update any of that. You have to physically log online to follow your buddies and change your stats etc.

4 days post op
Brittanyblue replied to Brittanyblue's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would love to walk outside today but it’s -10 degrees! Water isn’t hard to drink but my surgeon doesn’t want me drinking too cold or hot. So it has to be room temp. So it’s hard to force down. today i had some cold Gatorade and it sat fine. And my protein shake was cool and it was fine so I’m going to start cold water. I do have more energy though! I didn’t have much energy the first two days. And wanted to nap all the time. Now I’m wide awake and want to go everywhere. -

Thank you! I was seriously getting worried -
Sleeved on 12/28 and feeling okay. A little nervous about how much I’m not eating. I’m about 3/4 days out and I have to force myself to drink a protein shake. Is this normal?

Anthem BCBS 6 Months Pre-Op Diet
Brittanyblue replied to TheHealthyPrepster's topic in Insurance & Financing
After my 6 months was done, they scheduled me to meet with the surgeon that week. Then the day you meet with the surgeon you schedule your surgery. The whole process for me only took about 3 weeks. -
Yeah, my tummy isn’t handling jello very well. I can barely get through one protein shake a day. Anyone else experiencing that?

Pre op diet wearing me down

You got this! It'll be over before you know it! -
hope it's not a cold
Brittanyblue replied to Jaimeed3's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I got a cold right before surgery. And my doctor said they still can do it as long as you don’t have a fever or other symptoms. I took zicam and airborne religiously before surgery and it really did help. Good luck! -
I will definitely try that! I just hope the nausea goes away.

I’ve been home for a day and a half. My surgeon told me I had to drink a protein shake a day at least and it was hard to get that down. I’m not hungry and don’t have an appetite. The nausea was really bad and still is to a point and I think that’s why I don’t want to eat anything. It took me a couple hours to finish my protein shake.
-
I’m only on day 3 post op. I still have incisional pain. But not enough to use the narcos I was given. I tried eating jello a couple minutes ago and my tummy went into a frenzy. Too soon I guess.

I told my boss I won’t be back till Thursday or Friday but at this rate I might have to go back because I can only clean my house so much!

I wish you a speedy recovery as well! The suture where they pulled my stomach is the most painful part right now. Hopefully it’ll simmer down. -
It feels nice to sleep on your side doesn’t it? Just make sure you prop your pillow up against your tummy. And I feel like I wanna sleep for days, but I can’t! I’m so bored just hanging out in my house
-
As long as you don’t swallow it I think you’re fine. But I would check with your doctor to make sure. And 20 lbs dang! I only gained 2

I’m only 2 days post op and feel like my side with a body pillow propped up against my incision is the most comfortable. I slept on my stomach yesterday and it relieved ALOT of pain for some reason but I know I’m not supposed to be sleeping on my stomach for a while but it really did relieve the pain. I avoid my back because I have 2 cats that like sleeping on my stomach if I’m on my back.

Surgery on 12/28
Brittanyblue replied to Brittanyblue's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I’m sorry! I’m on liquid dilauded as needed for pain, zofran and levsin for stomach spasms and nausea. And pepcid for acidity. I’ve been only using Tylenol extra strength for pain because I dilauded can be habit forming. -
I am currently incorporating protein shakes in with my clear liquids. I’m not missing food and don’t really have an appetite. I have to remind myself to eat. The only pain I have is nausea every once in a while. Can’t wait for it to go away.
-
I haven’t been wanting to eat anything! No cravings or nothing. I know I have to drink a protein shake today and I’m not looking forward to it. Had my surgery 2 days ago.

Awe! I’m sorry! Lots of rest hun! I’m happy to say that I’m not on pain killers today! I took my last bit of them at midnight last night. I only have taken some liquid Tylenol and that does the trick. Only pain I feel is when I cough due to a previous cold! Are you taking any pain meds kaydo? -
