Try a protein shake when you are hungry. Those will fill you up and knock out the hunger for a while.

I was told no caffeine for two reasons: 1) it's a diarhetic and can contribute to dehydration. 2) it can lead to mal-obsorbtion as caffeine causes the intestines to spasm and push waste out. -
The two week preop diet caused my to louse 25 lbs. The after op diet... I'm excited because the doctor said I can do "full liquids"... As long as it can run through a strainer. Broths... I has to **** them up and boil it for an hour+ to ensure that the flavors take. The id mention w can make our own broths. So I'd order broth ONLY when out and about. he sensation of spooning it in was really relieving.

My favorite shakes are by LaBrada Nutrition. That have a 17oz shake with 40g or protein. I can get two oz down before I'm full.

I've had a good relationship with food... If that's what it's called... But it's that good relationship that got me in this situation. I've spent half a life time enjoying food without bounds. I was living to eat... now I'm going to be eating to live. Before surgery I had noticed my ability, motivation, and willingness to do physical things had decreased. My "good" relationship with food was killing me and my back. -
3+ months out, still have pain

I'm about three days out. I have lots of gas causing cramps. The major paid is surface sourness from the incisions. It get painful/uncomfortable when I consume to 3 ounces. I asked my doctor about that, he said it's normal, and my capacity will increase. I have yes to feel "hunger" like before. If the pain is after you eat, then you'r filling yourself up... I think I know that feeling now, and it comes SOOO easy. -

I had surgery yesterday. My hospital put a a tiny nausia dot behind my ear. They also gave me some iv cocktail to reduce nasia. From a previous surgery, carpol-tunel, the coding in Tylenol 3 made me natious. -
I used pot. The shrink asked me to stop to prove I'm not addicted. I decided to give it up because the munchies can be a contributing factor for me.
