A year ago, I was getting ready for gastric sleeve surgery. I was tired, fat and unhealthy. I had high blood pressure, high cholesterol and was in insulin dependent diabetic. I was on antidepressants. January 9, 2018 was the day my life changed. And now I’m LIVING! i work out 5-6 days per week, I love kickboxing! I’m down nearly 100 lbs and I feel younger than ever. I’m off all medication and according to my lab work, I’m a whole new woman. For those of you who are considered sugery, DO IT! Be ready to change everything about your current life. My biggest obstacle has been my brain. Changing the way I think about life. About food. About who i have in my life. I found my life. My value. Find yours!!

I’m 6 months out and had a taco last week. Thought I was going to die. Stomach pain had me to the point of crying. Never again. I can live without tacos.

I’m coming up on my 6month anniversary this weekend. I’m so thankful to have found me again. I’m proud of this journey and blessed. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. But the best! Diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol are gone. As are antidepressants. And last weekend I was a smoking hot momma of the bride.

Thank you so much for sharing this inspirational post. Your results are amazing. So glad that you are feeling healthy and pain free!! Carla from LV -
Three month ago, I decided to radically change my life and started on this weight loss journey. What i realized is that even more important to the 52 lbs and 33 inches I have lost is all that I have gained. I gained health. I am no longer an insulin dependent diabetic. In fact, I’m not a diabetic at all. I have a normal blood pressure without any pills, my cholesterol is “stellar “ according to my doctor who was ready to put my on meds for that too. I no longer need anti anxiety meds or sleeping meds. I gained energy. Lots of it. I used to come home after work and sit staring at the tv all night until 8, when Elijah would go to bed, so I could too. I gained confidence. I realize my own worth. And my own value. I realize that getting my hair and nails professionally done is something I CAN treat myself with, instead of food. I gained self control. I just spent a week visiting NH where all of my favorite foods were at my fingertips. I tried one bite of two different desserts, then realized they were not as important to me as the company I was with. I enjoyed wonderful conversations with those at my table, and the food meant almost nothing. I gained an appreciation for those in my tribe. Those who support me, love me and are honest with me, even when things are hard to hear. I no longer feel the need to be defensive, for I know they are not out to hurt me, but help me. I found me. And I’m happy. Carla from LV

First time on an airplane since my January 9th surgery. I flew across the country. And I fit!! I could put the tray down. I sat in the middle and didn’t spill over into the other seats. It was such a great moment. I cried. I’m sooooo thankful I finally did this for myself. Carla from LV

The left was at Christmas. I was sleeved on 1/9. The right is on 2/9. I can’t see it when I look in the mirror, but I can in this photo for sure. HW 250 SW 242 CW 212 GW healthy Carla from LV

I was only on liquid for 2 weeks. So I’ve been eating soft meats (including chicken) since day 15. You will eat and enjoy foods again. Promise. Carla from LV

I was sleeved 1/9. I took one week off work. Part time the 2nd week and have been back full time since. I am exhausted. I couldn’t even make it through work today. Is this normal? Carla from LV
