Since I had my surgery I have lost 80 pds. At the most, I may have another 5-8 lbs to lose. Most say I am ok the way I am. I had three fills so far. I am now starting to get hungry again, Is it too late to go in for another fill or should I just try to adjust. I am really afraid of putting the weight back on.

I did go in for another fill. FIrst they took an x-ray, gave me .5 cc, took another x ray, gave me another .5 cc. Hopefully this helps. They feel I only need to loose another 5-10 pounds max. When was the last time a Dr told you that. Kind of nice for a change.

Are you on blood pressure medicine? When I started I was taking two seperate blood pressure medicines. I started to lose weight however I also started to get light headed, I could not figure out what it was. I went to the Dr and he took me off of one of the medicines. I then lost more weight and again I started getting light headed. The Dr has now taken me of the other medicine. I would get light headed when I got out of a chair. Good luck

Very guilty. I weigh at least twice a day. Then, Every Friday morning I mark it down on a chart to stay on track. SO far it seems to be working for me. I am trying to lose 10 pounds per month. I do not think I could go a week without weighing much less a full month. This also makes me stay aware of what I am eating. -
What does it feel like to be "stuck"?
Z430 replied to amonroy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I also have been "stuck". chicken and ribs. I also had problems with chicken noodle Soup. I think the noodles along with drinking while I ate did it. When it happens, I have had little problems getting it to come back up. I have yet to eat any bread. Getting stuck is no big deal so far for me. I think this is what makes the laband special. Eat something you should not and it hurts you. Either way it does not last long. We were told upfront, no bread, Pasta or rice. -
I don't know if this is how I should feel or not...

I got my first fill 4 weeks after the surgery. The Dr told us that he wanted me to loose 2-3 pds a week. If I did not or if I started to get hungry again, I was to come back in for another fill. My sister who was also banded plans to return two weeks after her fill if she does not start loosing weight. She also decided to wait between her first and second fill and was told that she should have come back in sooner. She plans on going back in within two weeks of her second fill if she fails to loose. -

I got 2 cc's on my first filll. Lost 3 pounds fairly quick. I am scheduled to get my second fill this Friday. I am still loosing weight however not as much. I waited 4 1/2 weeks between my first fill and my second. I may have waited too long. After a fill, I am to be on liquids for two days, mushies the third and then back to solid foods. -
I wait 30 minutes until I take a drink after a meal. I had Soup one night and decided it should be ok to have a drink, After all I was eating soup. When I took a drink, I started to have problems. It was forcing the solids in the soup down too fast. That is the one thing I really like about the band. GO against the rules and it hurts. I follow the rules pretty close. I was told no bread, Pasta or rice.

Since my first fill in mid June, The first week I lost 3 lbs. the 2nd week 1 1/2 lbs and the third week 2 1/2 lbs. I am still loosing weight however I am very hungry. I am scheduled for my second fill this coming Wed. I was told that If I did not loose 2-3 lbs a week or if I was hungry, I was to come back in for another fill. I am now debating if I am going back in too soon however I am very hungry, So far I am very pleased with my progress weight wise. It is just that I am starting to eat too much.

I eat a small Breakfast, I usually skip lunch and then eat an early dinner. I am trying to keep the calories between 1000 and 1200. I have problems at night. I did eat lunch today and then went back for seconds. This is happening more and more. When I first got my fill, I lost a lot of my appetite. My problem seems to be eating too much. Too much for someone having a lapband.

I was banded on May 9 and started loosing weight fast. I was on two different blood pressure medicines. I also started experiencing dizziness. I tried to explain it away until I fell over. I went to see the Dr the next day and he took me off of one of the medicines. It made a big difference.

I am self pay. Have been to the office twice. The first time for the initial visit, blood work and ekg. Met the Dr. I then went back the second time for a stress test. Friday morning I am having surgery. Very quick process. The hardest part is the two week diet. Getting king of nervous however I will be glad when it is over. -
