I just had the surgery yesterday.... and now that it has happened I realized my fear was not being able to do what got me here in the first place..... eating whatever I want..... Everything went excellent and now a new stage in my life begins.....

Everything went great with my procedure ... hospital has excelent pain management... i am in sooo little pain... I hope the other two or three persons that had they surgery today are doing great !! and for those that will have them in the following days , do not worry , everything will be just fine...

Off to the hospital... my surgery is at 8.00 am too.... had a good 5-6 hours of sleep... nervous and hungry....

My surgeon suggested the sleeve as first option , but when I learned that bypass is the best option to avoid diabetes, even I am not diabetic my thought was that it was a good insurances agains it as it runs in my family... I have Do have high blood pressure and that is the main reason why I am having WLS in the first place ... it just that I do not see myself not being able to enjoy some of my favorite foods with moderation ...and bypass will limit my options far more than the sleeve .... am I right ?

I am scheduled for Tuesday, tomorrow I have my last appointment with my surgeon... I am having second thoughts about Bypass.... I am now considering the sleeve..... my biggest fear is suffering dumping and not being able to tolerate Meats... What is your biggest fear ??? I have never had an issue with over eating, my issues is being sedentary and i love to try new foods and new tastes.... and i am afraid the bypass will take that from me....... i am 6 feet 1 inch and I weight 295 pounds Any thoughts?

I just found this site it is a great community.... I will have my surgery a week from tomorrow and I am nervous !! I have so many questions about the post-operation mainly carbonated drinks... my only addiction is Diet Coke !! I hope you all think of me on the 17th !!

me too !! I like the date ! I am new here, and I am really nervous !! I can not stop thinking about the surgery... I am excited for it, but would like to skip the recovery phase.... I am a bad patient....
