Has anyone gotten any guidance recently from their dr or NUT about what kind of calorie range we should be in right now? I've started tracking again to keep myself honest, but I'm not sure what I should be shooting for at this stage.

Great work! I'm treating myself to a nice spa vacation if I ever get to 90 like you. That's my goal, but I'm still about 15 away. Congrats!

I had my year check-in this morning and my doctor was thrilled I have dropped my BMI from 40 to 28 since surgery. I'm still losing weight, very slowly, just a couple pounds a month. I'm still 20 pounds away from my goal weight -- which would be just what I need to be in the healthy BMI range. I told my doctor I've come to accept that I probably won't get there, but she said she wouldn't be surprised if I lose another 10 in the next six months, given that I'm exercising daily. So it's good to know that loss is still possible for us if we work at it. Congratulations to everyone on our sleeviversaries.

I thought my weight loss might be about done -- still more than pounds from my goal at 173. I didn't lose for the past month. Still, I was thankful to have lost 70 pounds and with my new lifestyle of eating healthier and daily exercise. Then this past week I dropped another three pounds all the sudden. So just to encourage folks who may be slowing that we can still lose more if we just stick to healthy habits. Good luck to everyone!

I don't think that's necessarily cause for concern. My doctor always told me that the weight loss would likely last about a year, and we're almost there, and that my appetite would return. But yes, these things are happening to me as well, as I expected they would.

I was stuck at 185 for a month and then recommitted myself to eating clean and stepping up my exercise. Then I dropped another five pounds in the past month with that approach. Are you logging your food and staying within your targets? Are you exercising 45 minutes every day? Are you drinking 64 oz of water every day? If you can't answer yes to all those questions, then you need to make those changes. I couldn't answer yes to those things, so as frustrating as it was to stall, the problem wasn't with my scale, but my behaviors. I got back on the right track and am seeing the results. And I really feel great again and committed to sticking with it. I'm personally skeptical that doing a week of a reset is going to change things for us for the long term if we don't take those other steps.

I'm "only" down 60 pounds and my doctor says it's great. It happens, and you can't let it get you down. Just think - you never would have lost 67 pounds without surgery. I stalled for a month and then just this week lost 2 lbs. But you need to get back on the horse to stay on plan and exercise so you can take advantage of the weight loss time you have left. But the last thing you should do is put your head in the sand and not weigh yourself or be accountable. I don't get upset about stalls because I know I'm doing everything I can. They would be more upsetting if I knew I was slipping. Good luck!

Nice job, everyone. I just had my six-month check-up and am down 58 pounds. I know that's slower than a lot of others here, but just want to encourage those those who are slower losers like me that my doctor and my NUT were very pleased with that loss. Keep up the good work, everyone.

Did anyone have to do lovenox injections?
LilaJane20 replied to Bryn910's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I did this during pregnancy to prevent miscarriage. But I could never give them to myself and made my husband do it. -
I do Gwynnie Bee clothing rental. It's been great as I move down the sizes. I think wearing clothes that fit is a real confidence boost and makes the weight loss a lot more noticeable to yourself and others, and this way you don't have to buy anything and just keep getting more outfits to wear. If you want to try it, this link gives you a free trial month and a $10 credit. https://goo.gl/U6JKgL

My weight loss has slowed - it was a couple pounds a week and now although I get there some weeks, others are just a half a pound or so. Are others experiencing the same thing? I'm glad it's still coming off, though.

Just want to let you know I had my 3-mo check up today and was down 42 pounds. My nutritionist plugged the numbers into her computer and told me I'm actually ahead of average, which was good to hear because on this board it can seem like that is a small amount. My surgeon was thrilled as well and said I'm well on track to meet my goal. So don't feel like 44 pounds is a slow loss.

Stomach upset all the time

Yes, I had surgery and have had similar issues in recent weeks. I gave up protein shakes and other things that suddenly were making me nauseous, mainly meats. I still get in my protein with a lot of beans, eggs, low-fat cheese and other high protein foods. I'm just paying close attention to what my body is telling me and adjusting my diet accordingly. It's helping. -

Watching videos of your procedure pre-op

I watched after and thought it was amazing. But I'm glad I didn't watch beforehand because I think it would have heightened my anxiety. But it's very cool what these surgeons are able to do for us.
