Awful smelling stool and gas
SeattleLady replied to Pamela Raab Campbell's topic in Duodenal Switch Surgery Forum
Family members often suck because of many factors including envy! Get some of that spray stuff for the bathroom and move on! You are doing great! Congrats!!!! Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app -
I was referred to a long standing bariatric doctor. I found out that he does not believe in revision sugery despite the research (2019). I am now in the process of finding a new doctor with approval for the procedure. I am excited and scared as heck. I will never give up! So, here we start again! I Never Give Up
SeattleLady replied to SeattleLady's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I found one in Houston. I'm waiting for approval and the next step in this process. It will take the full three month progam at least. Now, there is now a real chance for me to get this done! This is still a bit of a fight. Not sure why living in the state and working to pay for insurance? I have to fight for this life saving procedure (which is crazy)! Its big business and not good practices for patients. Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app -

I Never Give Up
SeattleLady replied to SeattleLady's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Thank you so much! However, I am only covered in the United States really Texas. I had to go to court to get this far. I'm believing that there is a doctor within the mandated community! Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app -
Nausea after revision from sleeve to bypass
SeattleLady replied to Jetsfan2020's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I too would suggest that they look at your abdominal area and see what is going on. 110 since July seems great. However, I have a friend had emergency surgery because something happened with her revision. . Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app -

I can start the process 01/31/21
SeattleLady posted a topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Wow, heck of a year 2020 is for me and countless others. I had move on after truly trying everything last year. After 5 surgeries (only 2 related) and countless testing? I will qualify for my revision sometime in 2021. Maybe it was this knee pain that I am currently feeling [emoji16] I am so scared. I don't know why? I know that is my best way to improve my health and increase longevity. I talked to so many doctors and mental health professionals over the last year. Opinions vary! Can someone tell if they too struggled with this process and then achieved success after being revised! Thanks so much! Heck of a year! Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app -
GERD before surgery advice
SeattleLady replied to AchieveGoals's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I occasionally got heartburn before my sleeve. At year 3 my GERD became horrible. I had a herna repair in December. The GERD is better. I am still happy that I picked the sleeve due to having low iron and other absorption issues. Bypass would have killed me. I am now in year 6. Not sure what to due next about GERD. However, I'm not given up. Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app -

Fight, fight, fight and fight
SeattleLady replied to SeattleLady's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Wow, this has been crazy. I love my sleeve. Now, I need a revision. After 7 months of having a repaired herna? I still need to be revised due to GERD and other issues. This will happen sometime by the end of 2021. Insurance sucks sometimes. However, I am happy to see some relief soon. Don't give up. Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app -
Fight, fight, fight and fight
SeattleLady posted a topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Back story, sleeved in 2014. Everything went fine and lost 70 pounds. Starting having heartburn not bad. By year 5 severe GERD, gastritis, and medium hernia Daily pain w/o meds. Insurance will not help. I have hope. However nothing is done until it is done. I understand clearly the medical community primarily does not view obesity as a disease. They are wrong. It's sad seeing how I pay for my health insurance to keep me well. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app -
Reflux remains after revision 😩
SeattleLady replied to itzmekc's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
While I didn't have revision. I did have my sleeve and esophagus repaired. My doctor believes as I slowly lose more weight? My reflux will decrease. It was working until the lockdown. I just need to move more! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app -

Surgery this month, wife threatening divorce
SeattleLady replied to Xx1jpt5xx's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Awww cool! As a nurse maybe she concentrated on all the stuff that could go wrong. Now, she has researched. It was the best decision even with getting GERD. I walk, run and play. Your turn in a few months. Kiss her as you go into the operating room. Tell her you will be right back! Then do just that and kiss her again! Revision & hernia repair
SeattleLady replied to Chas74's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I had hernia repair, gastric sleeve review and esophagus repair. I was out two weeks. Then had complications and out for an additional week. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app -
After 5 years of being sleeved? I had my sleeve checked last week and "no stretch." However, I have learned how to eat around my sleeve. Things that could go through easily and not cause as much GERD. Knowing that, I have stopped. After my last procedure I eat less and healthier. I have lost almost 20 pounds in just over a month. SeattleLady replied to New&Improved's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's a scare tatact for the most part. Those drink have useless sugar and other ingredients. Most of us are "food/sugar addicts." Staying away is the best option not the only option. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using BariatricPal mobile app -
