  1. I am now scheduled for a sleeve in 6 weeks. My last 7 months dieting has been successful, my habits have changed, and I even cook for myself now. But now, I just want to "relax" until the pre-op diet and just enjoy a few last pleasures. I live with other people, and if they get a pizza, I get a slice. I'll dip into their fried chicken and I even had a Whopper the other day. These transgressions started with my final/extra/options meeting with a dietician when we talked about restaurants, and they give the patients "excuse" cards to eat from the kids menu, because even a 6oz steak might be too much. No problem really, but now just want to not be so hard core on my diet. I am not breaking my diet everyday, or hitting buffets, just different things, because in 6 weeks, it's the end. 2. I meant in 6 weeks (actually 4 cause liquid diet), in my mind they can't be any diet deviations, and no "I can go off a little today" instances, as i sometimes did when I was in a restaurant if I ordered a steak and it had too any toppings. Sent from my XT1609 using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. Can video game distract enough from any hunger? I haven't played my Xbox, but plan on breaking it out with some new games to keep me distracted. Sent from my XT1609 using BariatricPal mobile app

I know my in-laws and brother, better, than any of you! Anyway, I'm having to post pone the prank. I don't know how long I could last denying any weight loss. They'll start seeking explanations. Sent from my XT1609 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Post-Op practical jokes

My op is not for 2 months, but I want to start setting up a practical joke on everyone I know. If you have any ideas, please post them. My main Target is my ultrafitness-centered brother who measures his bmi and fat content to at least 0.1%, and my fitness oriented brother and my personal trainer sister in law. Only people that know about my surgery are my parents. And they will be in on the joke. My mother will call my brothers with great concern about my weight loss and obsession with medicine balls. She will be concern that I have been unhealthy, possibly bolemia, and suffering from OCD and my medicine ball use is worse than the local teenagers and their skateboard ramps. They'll come and visit me, and I'll always have a medicine ball, and just play it up. They also see me with a medicine ball when I visit them for Christmas. Anything to perplex them over weight loss. Brother is a graphic design artist, and I might ask him to design a book cover for a self published book "Medicine Ball Miracle". And just see how far I can go with them and everyone else. I believe I was just insulted at my gym.

Whoa, I just saw this was a ladies only forum. The post came up in a recent activity feed, even though I am not subscribed, I just read it, after posting I sell the topic scroll. I wish this forum could filter based on profile. Sent from my XT1609 using BariatricPal mobile app

I believe I was just insulted at my gym.

What gym? I've found that the cheap membership gyms attract cheap people. I left Planet Fitness to go to LA Fitness because I got close to dropping z 50lb weight on someone's head to many times. After seeing some on an absolute crunching, doing reps while texting in a cell phone, I finally quit Planet Fitness Sent from my XT1609 using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. I don't know if weight can push the need for a knee replacement surgery. I witnessed my mother go through two replacements. It is the last thing you want. Sent from my XT1609 using BariatricPal mobile app

Well, there is already a high degree of anger and mistrust in my family anyway. No matter what I do they will be skeptical. It won't matter, my mother won't play along and thinks it's cruel also. So I'll work on another plan. Sent from my XT1609 using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. Brief background, all my dieting failed, I loved nutrisystem, but just could stay on it past 6 months. Now, I am in a pre-op situation. I was to stop the nutrisystem, and eat regular meals. It took a while, but now I am building my own meals. Never spiced or rubbed s chicken before in my life, until now. I can pass fast food joints, even when I am hungry. Grabbing an apple is second nature, and I push for better fiber count. I actually watch cooking shows for ideas of what I could cook up. Two months, I lost 15 lbs of my starting 394. I haven't felt better. Normally, if I lost 15 lbs, I'd hit a pizza as a "celebration.". No desire for that now, just want to tick off another 2 lbs. My only problem is perhaps not enough vegetables, and need better meal scheduling. So, I feel like I could keep doing this, and maybe won't need surgery. Or am I falling into a trap? THIS WILL BE EPIC April 1st is on a Sunday in 2018, about 3 months after my anticipated surgery. My mom will schedule a family picnic in early March for that day. I never pranked them hard, so they will expect nothing from her. And say there will be family news. There, we will break the news that my weight loss is linked to some terrible cancer or disease. I have really been exercising to get my mind off of it, and because what I look like in 6 months, will probably what I will look like in my casket. My medicine ball was just a way to cope with my disease. And probably will not be walking in 12 months, maybe gone or bed ridden in 18. I will do this while they see me come walking in, with a walker. My parents will have to either cry at the news, or leave the room if they can't fake it. At some point I'll have to break the joke, but not after I tell my brother at some point I'll need him to have the courage to help me in an assisted suicide. My sister in law wants a dog. So I'll ask her if shell promise to take care of my Terrier sometime next year when I can no longer play with him. Sent from my XT1609 using BariatricPal mobile app
  16. My favorite patch sold for hats, range bags and other gear, is "Just Suffer". I need to get that out. Sent from my XT1609 using BariatricPal mobile app
  17. I found that app overly complex and too many menus to drill down. For example, I don't need to track my bowel movements, do I ( never read of anyone doing that)? I know it has a when to drink timer and s chewing/bite timer... but I really don't need that, maybe immediately pre it post op. Fitness pal is the easiest app. Have to pay for the premium subscription to customize diets, but it's good and has a functioning desktop web version. Sent from my XT1609 using BariatricPal mobile app

Ha. I can't go overboard that that I am crazy. I have to maintain a plausable reality. I don't think they could believe me if I try to tell them it's enemas, that might trigger very serious inquiry. As funny as that might be, it might be too much over the top. I might include some stupid "as seen on TV" gear, and a stress ball. The cinnamon pill gave me an idea. I'll need to also need to include those Neugenic pills sold on radio, TV or some herb bought at their favorite store Trader Joe's Sent from my XT1609 using BariatricPal mobile app
  20. I was at a range recently, and getting closer to the surgery time period, it dawned on to me that my muscle memory might change. I am not s professional, just a hobbyist, but I do want I can to develop muscle memory so if I ever need to rely on it under pressure, it's in my corner. Can post-op make subtle changes to posture, stance, grip, reflexes? I go to the range to get better, and correct squeezing to hard at the trigger break. And it dawned on me, with a total body composure change over a year and more that it could change how I shoot. Not so worried about a holster draw, but with a much smaller waist, I know I will have to relearn it. If it will have an impact, then perhaps I will need to budget a red dot for my firearm. An enemas might be too much. My idea for a medicine ball, would be that it would be goofy for me, and I can buy books about it, and leave them around apt (after scuffing them up, buying used copies). I can also lay around balls, scuff them up, and even flatten one somehow. I will use the idea of Yoga. I could have my mom ask my sis in law if she ever heard of anyone using an enema for weight loss. I could buy whatever cheap enema gear there is and have my mom say I left it after walking her dogs, but not sure what it is. Sent from my XT1609 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Hobbies?

Video Games (multiplayer) Xbox, PlayStation. Not stupid cell phone games. There are great time consumers. If I play a basic first person shooter, it's 20-30 minutes per match usually. Can't eat, and both hands are on a controller. More entertaining than TV, and no pause button or opportunity to get snacks. The games inventivise you to keep playing for "experience points" to get things to play better with in-game. I am stoked! I have in my hands the new South Park game Fractured But Whole game. Consider photography. Join a local Meetup photography group. It's something you can do on your own, and use software for post processing. And local Meetups usually have planned outdoor activities like photo walks. Forces you to think outside the box. I've done a forklift graveyard, and an abandoned school for example. 24. I have had hyperhidrosis (auxiliary) since highschool, even when I was fit and on swim teams. I think the condition has at least worsened since then. But being a rare disorder, few people can say if getting older (now 45) is a factor. I know that weight gain did not cause it. Many sources will say being overweight is a factor, but it was not for me through high school and college. But has anyone experienced the condition being reduced after the surgery?
