Any Panniculectomy and/or Breast Even-ing before/afters?
Codedsub posted a topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Hello! I had RNY May 2, 2018 and plan to get a panniculectomy in November this year (insurance covers it then) and possibly get my breasts evened out. Anyone have before and afters? Hoping to see results from those around 5'1 Thanks!! -
WA state... looking into getting panni and br

Thanks for the info. I'm was a DD, now I'm a D. I wouldn't want to be smaller than a large C, so not sure it would work with implant, but I will definitely find out. -
WA state... looking into getting panni and br
Codedsub posted a topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Anyone in WA with Regence Uniform (state employee insurance), get a panniculectomy and/or breast reduction after weight loss? I am 1 year post op from RNY and down from highest of 268.8 to 156.8. My insurance appears to cover a panniculectomy after 18 months. Sounds like a breast reduction might be covered as well? Some have suggested doing that and paying for implant etc (i want to even them out as well). Any surgeons in the Olympia area you suggest? -
Upset, cannot get in water or protein

I dont believe it's a structure, luckily. I can tolerate food... not any issue with it going down etc. Its the nauseating repulsed feeling Iget about eating that is getting in the way. I get intermittent stomach pain though. -

Upset, cannot get in water or protein
Codedsub posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had rny and gallbladder removal May 2nd. First two weeks... great! Water protein in ,no problem. I am 1 day shy of 1 month and doing and feeling miserable. Most days I can get in 35 oz of water approx. But protein is usually less than half or worse. I cannot take vitamins because my stomach is empty and water is very hard to get in somedays, like today. My stomach hurt, I feel overly nauseous. Very close to tears. I typically have a high pain tolerance... but not for nausea. Acid reflux hurts and I am already up to two doses a day. Waiting on doc office to get back to me. I dont know what to do. -

I picked up RenewLife Probiotic 30billion cfu, calcium citrate chewables (generic walmart brand), NatureMade Fast dissolve b12, and I still need to pick up a chewable multivitamin. I also have Vitamin D 50000 units a week i am on as well.

Curious, has anyone gotten a waiver on the 6 month nutritional requirement if you have a hiatal hernia and gerd? [For reference, I technically, I have 6 months done (6 months through former insurance, 10 months of weight watchers aug 2016 - may 2017), and doctors appts in aug, sept, oct, march, april where my weight was taken. Regardless, I am curious as my insurance said it might be possible to get a waiver for things like that.]

Im Mason County. I haven't looked for support groups yet, other than the online variety. I don't have a surgery date yet. I have completed all my medical tests, etc. and I am trying to get chi to submit to insurance but not only have they not called to get my ekg results, the dietitian thinks the people i talked to at my insurance company are wrong. (Is it possible? Sure, but its no hair off her back to have my stuff submitted to ins. for approval). For reference, I have talked to my insurance about the 6 month nutrition requirement. I have 10 months of Weight watchers from August 2016- May 2017, Doctors visits (not weight related visits, but weight was taken and discussed in August, September, October, March, and April). And on my former insurance I did 6 months of calling their nutritionist weekly and they paid for my weight watchers at the time. Chi still hasnt requested it from what I can tell. Anyway, talked to my insurance several times now and each time they have encouraged me to get my doctors office to submit for approval. Not to mention i have a hiatal hernia and gerd as well and my insurance says that their medical team might give a waiver to the 6 month requirement anyway. This is why I am thinking of switching, there doesn't seem to be much follow through. I have had to bend over backwards to get records, etc (which i don't mind, since it speeds things up etc) but I gave records requests almost a month ago and i get the impression they haven't even asked for them. Just in case, i also started nutrition visits with my pcp beginning of this month. Needless to say, I am bit frustrated. For the record, I have otherwise liked Chi, but the follow through i am getting kind of frustrated about.

Did anyone use Multicare in Tacoma, WA? I am currently going through Chi Franciscan, but they are kinda dropping the ball with my paperwork and I am thinking of switching. What kind of requirements and medical tests were needed? (I did all the ones chi requires, but curious if there is a difference).

My surgeons office doesn't require a minimum amount of days with them, this is an insurance requirement and the lady who submits to insurance is the one that doesn't want to submit. I am currently doing my 6 month requirement through my pcp.

Vent... having a difficult time getting bariatric doc office to submit to insurance. I did a 6 month nutritional program through my former insurance, gave release to doc office (still haven't requested it). I also did 10 months of Weight watchers from august 2016 - may 2017 and even had doctor visits in august, October, April, (and several others) where my weight was recorded and even nutrition discussed - though the visits were not specifically for that. I have talked to my current insurance several times and they are very much encouraging me to have my doc office submit for approval. Especially now since my medical tests revealed a hiatal hernia and gerd (i knew I had gerd) and that sometimes a waiver is given. However, the person at my doc office is being a bit snippy about turning it in for approval because she thinks the people I talked to at my insurance are wrong. I am trying to get them to submit but agh. (they also still have to request my ekg results since hospital was not theirs and get the online bariatric psych eval place to actually send my approval results). A bit frustrated. Just in case I started the 6 month nutrition visits through my doc back on the 6th
