How often do you weigh yourself?

Pre-op: I hated weighing myself. (Really considered throwing it away.) Post - op: I try to stick to weighing myself weekly (usually Mondays) but I go through periods where I forget and other time where I get a little obsessive.
  3. I would go with what your surgeon's office recommends. Try to crush them and put them in the applesauce. The only reason I switched was because it was still making me sick to eat them even after crushing them (my surgeon's office recommended the same to me too). The flinstones chewable was a last resort. But keep them informed too, the vitamins are really important! Best of luck!
  4. You should definitely ask the doctor. I could not have them either; I would throw them up. My doctor ended up switching me to the flinstons chewable until I was able to swallow pills.

    Highest weight

My ultimate goal is to get down to 140, that is still about 80 pounds away. But if I could get down to about 160, I think I would be ok - I'm really not sure though. Honestly, I haven't been this happy in a long time even know. I can run again and exercise without feeling like I want to die. Excercise has become fun again for me, which I love. I keep up with my kids much better!
  6. If you were eating it bites at a time I would imagine you could; but why would you try? I don't want to come off as callous here, I just say this out of concern.

    November sleevers here

Looking good! I'm down about 60 pounds now from my highest weight, but I'd still like to lose about another 80 pounds to get to my goal of 140. I still have some ways to go, but my goal every month is to lose 10 pounds. So I'm just going to keep pushing through. I really started to pick up my running though! Which I am the most excited about. I ran my first 5k in a very long time about two weeks ago and had so much fun I signed up for another around my birthday! I hope you all are doing well and feeling a lot better!
  8. I just had that moment too, I cleaned out my closet of old clothing that was too big. I spent a lot on all that clothing which is why I think I wished I may still "wanted" to fit them, but it was also a relief moment too.

    November sleevers here

I think I just got out of mine. I had four weeks of not losing a single pound and this week i'm at almost 5lb lost. I don't normally check every day, but this week I have been to check to make sure it's real! Keep going!

    November sleevers here

Good Afternoon All! I went into surgery with a weight of 268 and today I weighed in at 237, 31lbs lost since surgery! I've really never felt better, I go to the gym/excerise at home about 3 times a week, I'm really trying to bump it up to 5 days a week. I'm going to run a 5K with my mom at the end of April, we ran this 5K together about 5 years ago and I ended up walking most of it, so my goal this time is to just be able to run the race. I have dropped two sizes! I went from a size 20 to currently a size 16. My favorite non-scale victory so far occured this weekend. My hubby and I took the kids to the Baltimore Aquarium to meet my sister and mom. They do not let you use strollers (my daughter is just over a year old and very attached). I pretty much carried her the entire time and didn't feel like I completely exhausted. We must have walked around looking for a good 2 hours before going to get lunch. It's great to hear from you all again! Wishing you all nothing but the best of luck!

I'm not sure where you started, but are you hitting your protein and water goals? Getting all your vitamins? How many times do you eat and how much? I would also discuss with your doctor/nutrientionist to see if there are ways you could help. But congrats on losing 25lbs so far!!! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

What can I eat during solid stage

I stick with chicken and tuna a lot. I use a crock pot a lot to cook my chicken and make it really tender. For my veggies I have been sticking to califlower, edamane, brocolli, green beans (usually canned since they are softer), squash (spaghetti squash is amazing - I made this is mini turkey meatballs!). I also eat a lot of eggs. I actually got a couple bariatric cook books to learn some new recipes. It was nice because they lable the meals with nutrional fact and food stages.
