    Any UK Sleevers?

Hi guys. 10 days post op and was wondering if there's any other UK sleevers out there. Would love to connect and share experiences about how your getting on and what led you down this road. Would really like to hear from you!

A revision from band to Sleeve

I had my band out in April and had my sleeve surgery a week ago today. I lost weight with the band but only because it was so painful to eat. I was being sick every day. Turned out it had slipped up and was blocking my oesophagus. Also my body hadn't accepted it and it was loose and moved every time I swallowed. I was so scared to loose the band that I put up with it for a very long time until my new consultant said it had to come out. I had to wait 6 months to allow my stomach to heal before I had the sleeve surgery. I'm so glad I had it done. Best wishes to you and I hope you achieve your goals

    What happened?

Hi guys. So I had my surgery almost a week ago and I'm recovering really well. However this morning I had the runs really bad and also swollen tummy and griping tummy pain. I usually have skimmed milk but this morning I had whole milk. Could this be the problem? Too rich? Too much lactose or sugar or fat? Would be grateful for any options.

Thank you for your reply. I'm doing ok so far. Managing small amounts. Things taste very different now. Not sure if that's because of the anaesthetic. I was only in over night. I have 6 incisions with staples. Not in any pain, just sore. Looking forward to starting my journey [emoji3]

Hi guys, my names Jennie and I live in the U.K. I am 31 years old and had my gastric sleeve surgery on Monday. I have struggled with my weight and my relationship with food since I was in my late teens. I came across this website and thought I'd sign up to get in touch with people in the same situation. I originally had a gastric band but it slipped and had to be removed in April. Boy, was getting that thing a big mistake!! Many many problems. Luckily my surgeon offered me the gastric sleeve surgery. So here I am, 80% stomach removed and recovering well. I would love to hear from anyone and hope to possibly make some new friends. Many thanks guys
