How to get a ticker in your signature Using TickerFactory as an example: 1. Go to www.tickerfactory.com 2. Click on Weightloss 3. Select a ticker ruler. Veiw all available by clicking on the page numbers. Once you have selected the one you want to use, click Next. 4. Select a ticker slider. Veiw all available by clicking on the page numbers. Once you have selected the one you want to use, click Next. 5. Select the measure of weight that you use. (pounds or kilograms) 6.If you wish the ticker to show your current weight and count down to your goal weight, select Weight. 7. If you wish the ticker to show only the amount of weight you wish to lose and how much you've lost, (not your current or goal weight) select Weight Change. 8. Enter your starting, current and goal weights, and then click Next. 9. You will now be on the final page with the codes to copy for pasting into your signature line on LBT. There are a couple of ways put the code into your signature line on LBT. Here is one option... 1. Highlight the text in the bbCode box, leaving off the URL codes. See diagram below: 2. Go to LBT and click on the Quick Links button at the top of the page, select Edit Signature. 3. Click in your signature box and type Ctrl+V to paste it in. (Ctrl+V or Ctrl+A or Ctrl+C all mean to hold down the Ctrl and specified letter key at the same time) Another option for pasting the ticker code into your signature line: 1. Highlight and copy all of the text in the url box like this: 2. Go to LBT and click on the Quick Links button at the top of the page, select Edit Signature. 3. Select Edit Signature. 4. Click on the Insert Image icon like this: 5. Before clicking in the box below "Please enter the URL for your image:" hit your delete or backspace button on your keyboard to clear the box. 6. Click inside the box and type Ctrl+V to paste in the copied url. Then click Ok. This will place the ticker into the signature line. Now click on Preview Signature to see if everything is how you want it. If it is, click on Save Signature

If you cant afford a book then do what most people would do. get the information off the internet or at your library. Times are hard for everyone with high gas prices and postage is very high..

post-op diet and slimfast optima
jazma replied to ann71's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had to do the liqued diet for three weeks, I losy 21 lbs...No sugar no carbs. I drank Atkins drinks and sugar fee jell and sf popsicles, and egg flour soupp that I made. I also drank 64+ oz of water a day. I am now on two protein drinks a day and one meal ( I eat chicken grilled no oil, vegies and salad) My doc said he likes everyone to loose weight it is safer for the surgery and our health. I look at the pre op diet as a jump start to the road ahead and a new life. Its been one month with no carbs, no sugar (except what might be in my food very minnimal) best of luck to you onthe road ahead.......:rolleyes2: -
I was on a three week liq diet and lost 21 lbs. I also had broncitis (spelled wrong oops) for two weeks and could not exercise. the diet was not bad at all. Now I am on 2 protein drinks for breakfast and lunch and a high protein dinner (chicken and veggies is what I eat) Best of luck and be strong!

3 days on liquid diet
jazma replied to LeslieR041906's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hang in there you will survive! I am on week two of the liguid diet and I agree it sucks and I still have one more week to go :scared2: I am allowed to have sugar free popcicles and they are good. The first week was the hardest I had major headaches the doc said they were due to no carbs or sugar. Hold your head up and this shall pass and think of what a great future as a healthy person you have to look forward to  -

Need a little boosting for surgery 05/28/08
jazma replied to lilnora2's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am on the liquad diet for 3 weeks and to be honest its not that bad. Its all in your will power and wanting to loose weight. I look at the lap band as a tool to help me loose weight and live a healthier life I know there will be hard times but they shall pass. As for saggy skin Id rather have it than have a heart attack and not be able to enjoy my kids and walk and play with them. So look at the possitive the band is a great tool to help you live a healthy and thinner life -
IF you could eat anything you wanted after a band, why have the band? In orderto loose weight we need to chnage our eating habits and eat healthy....Some doctors make no sence at all...

How Much Protein is too much?
jazma replied to VenturaCtyGal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doctor put me on a 3 week liquad diet 60-90 grams of protein a day. I drink Adkins shakes, and smoothies I buy at the docs office. I have lost 5 lbs in 4 days but I have major headaches I am sure due to lack of carbs. -
Keep up the good work !

I am on day four of liquad diet ( have to be on for 3 weeks) and my doctore gave me meridia a apetite suppresant. I made egg flour soup and had sugar free jello and sugar free popsicles and will have a protein drink (adkins with a banana mixed in for dinner) Its tough but worth the reward in the end. My doc said I can loose alot of weight on the pre op diet. I would really like ideas on what I can have on the liqued diet.

My doctor said he uses both bands- Lap Band is used for any patients he does in out patient surgery at his clinic, if you go to the hospital they use Realize, he said there is no differance besides the name.

Tell the truth! -
Take each day one at a time, be honest with the phys, people change as they mature. And remember the band is only a tool to help loose weight you have to be strong and adhere to all the rules to make it work
