So I'm going into my 4th week and starting soft foods, My surgery was nov. 14th so almost a month. I've just started soft food and meat, but as excited as I was to get to this stage I'm a little disappointed in how much I did not care for eating real food. I've gotten so used to protein shakes and my own blended shakes I don't really like how real food feels going down. I chew 40 times and eat very slowly and it still hurts sometimes. Maybe due to my hiatal hernia repair. Any one else feel this way post op?

I use triple leaf slimming tea to regulate me. Keeps me regular and don't forget your water.

Ya I hate these chewable celebrate vitamins they always make me feel sick. I was wondering about the vitamin patches but read some where on here that our bodies cannot absorb vitamins externally so therefore the bariatric vitamin patches won't work. Anyone know if this is true or have any experience using these?

Hi there, congrats we are surgery buddies, my surgery was last week also and I had the same problem, doc said it was probably because of the hiatial hernia I had repaired. Did you have any hernias repaired also. My throat discomfort went way on Saturday.

Hang in there mine just let up yesterday, I just kept trying hot tea and also popsicles helped.trying to get through the gas now.

Me too, I was sleeved the 14th and have problems swallowing water. Also how long will it take for these incisions to not hurt so bad.

Hi all so excited that surgery is nearing on the 14th of November and I have almost finished this liquid diet, I got everything lined up except I'm not sure if I'll qualify for Ca state disability or who I talk to about getting it. I have a physically demanding job that requires heavy lifting and repetitive motion so doc says I'll probably be out 3-4 weeks, I have some $ saved up but if I could get short term disability it would really help get through this time. Any information is greatly appreciated.

I have held fast to the beginning of a new life, but it's crazy how many pizza parties and people that never said anything before offering to buy me lunch at work. Just more obstacles but I am staying strong just tired of these shakes and grainy soups.

How do they check your liver, I'm in the same boat, started this past Friday but I'll be done Monday and surgery on Tuesday, sucks cause my surgery is at 3pm in the afternoon, so an even longer waits

What causes this feeling? Just eating fast or?.

This seems crazy, try incorporating some dieters tea also that has helped me in past. Good luck
