    Buddies Group - Surgery Dec 4 to 15, 2017

Oh same thing with being cold! I am normally so hot and sweating but since surgery I'm literally shivering at bedtime, using extra blankets and wearing socks. I've always been the compete opposite. So weird!

    Adhesive reaction

Oh no!! I'm so sorry. I already knew that I couldn't use the tape. I had a Previous surgery years ago and had that reaction. It was red and puffy even blistered. I told Dr prior abbot it and we used the glue. I'm post op 10 days. One is just starting to peel away. I'd call your Dr maybe he can give you something! Hope it gets better soon[emoji17]

Ok so this isn't bad then. I've been on clear liquids so I should be fine. I'm actually calling my Dr tomorrow morning. I'm pretty sure I'm dehydrated [emoji17] anyone else there yet?

    Sleeve surgery last friday

Oh Lord I hope to add that tomorrow. I'm having sugar free jello , popsicles and sf pudding just fine. Had cream of wheat today, just a bit. Soooio question: I know this is soooio TMI I haven't pooped since before the surgery. Is that normal???

    December Sleevers??

Hi rubyfit4life ! For anyone feeling the gases- it gets better and about day 3 (for me). Swallowing water also got better at day 3. I was soooio thirty. When I drank even a tiny bit, it would hurt in my belly. It's gotten better. Sip sip sip or use ice chips. Ice chips are helping my get all my fluids. I'm 6 days post op. I added just a bit of sugar free jello on day 4, and tried sugar free pudding on day 5. Today I'll try cream of wheat. I'm 17 lbs down. What else is everyone trying at this 1 week point? Rubyfit4life what are you doing?

I'm a 12/15 surgery. What's everyone eating at this point besides water? And what's your next step?

    Buddies Group - Surgery Dec 4 to 15, 2017

That's exactly the feeling I'm having. I called Dr this morning about it, they said I'm drinking too much water at a given time. So I'm cutting back just a tad and see if that helps. Thanks for explaining it better than I did 🤣

I was sleeved Friday morning - December 15th. Was released on the 16th. I'm home and im on clear liquids. I don't think I'm getting all my water down and I feel discomfort when the water I swallow huts my belly. Anyone feeling that and how long does it last?

    December Sleevers??

I originally had surgery scheduled for 12/19 with Dr #1- insured denied me. Then a Dr. #2 approved me but I had out of pocket expenses of $5k. I'm still doing it!! He scheduled me for 12/15 this Friday! Super excited, then i get a call to do it this Wednesday ---- holy smoke, I'm not ready for that so I'm sticking to friday!!! I seriously am freaking out that this is real!! After I got denied, I'd lost all hope. Wishing everyone a speedy pre op diet- what a trip this has been[emoji23] Good luck everyone, I can't wait to see progress pics.
  14. Hi there! Insurance told surgeon that my high blood pressure, high cholesterol and BMI were not enough. I have documented severe high blood pressure for over 10 years. My BMI is 34. Dr told me it would qualify with the other comorbidities so that's why I continued the process. I'm in Texas. I have AETNA. Good point, I will ask the new surgeon about complications!
