  1. I'm torn between the surgeries. My surgeon said I qualify for both and it's my choice. I've seen friends have great results with both surgeries. I'm 41, low BMI of 35 with comorbidities of very high BP, high cholesterol, pre diabetic , weight 205. If anyone has any recommendations or insight please share. Anyone In the same situation please share your thoughts or choice of surgery and why. I originally was thinking sleeve but now wondering if long term bypass would be best....[emoji17] Sent from my SM-G930T using BariatricPal mobile app

    Bypass vs sleeve?

Thank you all foe the great info. I've been researching both surgeries since my post. I chose the Sleeve for alot of the above mentioned reasons. My surgery date is Dec 19 and I'm nervous as heck. Dr requires 2 week liquid diet. What did your Drs require?

    December Sleevers??

Omg really??!! Ok that makes me feel better. A friend of a friend didn't follow the diet and apparently food went into her lungs and she went into a coma. [emoji44][emoji44] so I'm obviously nervous and scared. So nervous I told hi by today I was emptying the bank account foe cash in case something happened. #kiddingnotkidding Then my close friend today told me he didn't follow liquid diet, only dis the 2 days with my same Dr. How long are you on the liquid diet for?

    December Sleevers??

December 19th in Edinburg, TX. I'm so excited! 2 week liquid diet starts on Dec 5th. My first appt was in August. So far no delays except cardiologist wants a lexiscan instead of EKG, that's this Tuesday. So hoping doe no delays. Deductible is pretty much met. I have 2 insurances Aetna and united healthcare. United only requires 4 visits vs Aetna 6 months. Congrats to all December sleevers!!! Question: anyone on the liquid diet yet? Tell me about it. What are you drinking??? 12. I have Aetna and United Healthcare. I'm double insured. Both cover the sleeve surgery. My out of pocket will be $0 !!! Incredible. Definitely worth looking into. Sent from my SM-G930T using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. Hi everyone! I'm Sunny. I finally have my first appt with my surgeon! What questions should I be asking at this appt? Office told me surgery is covered 100% since I'm double insured. My BMI is almost 32. 202 lbs, some comorbidity HBP, cholesterol. I do have to wait until Jan 1 due to insurance requiring 3 month wait. Pre op diet? Will losing weight affect my ability to qualify? Recovery time? TIA!! Sent from my SM-G930T using BariatricPal mobile app
