Hi all, Today marks my return to chewing food, I’ve got a pork shoulder sitting in a crock pot, meals from that should last quite a few days. Down 20 lbs in the 6 weeks since surgery, not including the 90 I lost pre surgery. I sort of think I’m in a slight stall at the moment because the losses I’m not sure are what they should be.

I’m 22 days post op and in purée stage. No soft until Oct 24 for me.

I’m now 20 days off my surgery, things seem to be going fine. In the purée stage right now but yesterday I had this odd bit where some water came back up, I got tightness at the opening and it came up. Now I was at least 3 hours off of eating anything so I don’t think food was in there. Maybe be too much or too fast? Right now I’m passing it off as a one off.

1 day is enough provided your bladder wakes up mine didn’t until late the day after, was very close to being required to stay another night

They do at 70% pay....not enough

I’m taking two weeks off, just about done with the first week. After that I’m working from home for 4 more because of the nearly hour drive to my office.

SS thanks, I’ve already got an idea for a good cardio workout once I get about 2 months healed, already discussed it with my surgeon and he thinks it’ll be fantastic.

I was 400 lbs in January 23 the first time I went to the bariatric clinic. Between that and Sept 20th when I had my sleeve done I lost 92 lbs. it’s been a change that others see in me but I don’t see in myself yet. Now only a few days out of post op we’ll see how things go from here.

I was just sleeved this past Wednesday 9/20, so far seems to be going alright. The gas pain that settled in my shoulder is gone. Some bad bruising on two incision points. I’ve been able to keep all the liquid down with only some constricting going on right at entry. This happens regardless if it’s my first drink of a meal or the 10th.

Hi, New here. I’m 3 days post op. So far things are okay. I’m doing about 1/4 a cup of soup for lunch/dinner and portioning it out slowly. A few issues is after I swallow I get a constricting feeling right at what I assume is the top of the stomach (this happens even after the first ‘bite’ so I don’t think I’m pushing the pouch too hard. I’ve got some bad bruising around two of my incision points the surgeon said was expected. And they’re obviously the most tender at the moment. Supposed to be on this liquid diet for 2 weeks the transition into purée....but dammit I want scrambled eggs so badly. I lost 92 lbs pre op officially so we’ll see where we go from here.
