Good evening, how have things been going since your surgery? I did my surgery on December 6th, I'm struggle to with gas, abdominal discomfort and afraid to vomit after drinking my liquids. The protein shake that I drank before my surgery now taste horrible and the one the doctor recommended makes me vomit.

I am scheduled for surgery on December 6th, where can I buy sample liquid or powder protein in multiple flavours?

I have done only one visit. The reason for the visit, is to make sure that your are mentally prepared for surgery and you know exactly what it entails, how it will change your life and what to expect after surgery. If deemed that you are making an educated decision, the doctor will give you clearance for surgery. I am not sure what happen if you have a history of psych issues or if you demonstrate uncertainty during your visit. Maybe in such a situation, you would have to do more than one visits.

Hey, how are you doing? I started my journey in late August, I have already completed all required appointments and clearance, my surgeon will submit documents for surgery approval to the insurance this coming week. Since we share the same insurance, What were the requirements and how long did it take for the insurance company to approve your surgery.
-
You can call your insurance company and they can direct you. I have BCBS Highmark, I called my insurance and they sent me a Copy of the requirements, it didn't say anything about six months requirement. I have payed co-pay for almost all my pre surgery visits with Nut, surgeon, cardiologist, psych and physical therapy. I started my journey late august, I have my psych appointment on Tuesday after which my surgeon will submit documents for approval from BCBS.

I'm in the process of completing all my required appointments and was wondering, has anyone done their VSG in an outpatient setting?
