Stopped cold turkey too and lost 70 lbs at the same time. I remember feeling so healthy! -

Isn't it crazy though that for other kinds of addicts, they can just avoid the thing that is addictive. I was a 20 a day smoker for 10 years... it was hard giving up, but I could just not buy cigarettes and avoid the places where people smoked. Food though you HAVE to eat. So it's like smoking, but in moderation. I'm not giving myself excuses, but it is kind of nuts how we have to try to moderate the thing we are addicted to - there's no giving it up completely. -

Yes, I definitely agree it's not the best carb and salt wise. I am thinking that it's probably putting me in that cycle of craving those things - I'm probably giving myself some sugar spikes and then lows once they wear off. I've just been so hungry/snacky lately... not sure if it's hormones, or if it's my fatbrain. I am in a cycle right now of thinking of food all the time. I went to bed hungry last night and it was rough. I'll try to swap those things out for better items and see if it helps. -

I know it still needs more work on the protein front and I need to cut out the Starbucks. I also had salad greens with my meals. Unfortunately the Quorn cutlet made vomit. -

I added up my calories for the day and I'm at about 900. Is this too high? -

At first I would have said 'no it shouldn't matter', but I am guessing it still does because you are trying to keep the protein in your pouch for as long as possible? -

@Recidivist I don't think I can increase the amount (though it's definitely gone up), but I can increase the calories with the types of food. Because of my vomiting, I've been eating slider foods I guess. @taylormomto6 - Thank you for the pep talk and reminder of what I need to be doing. The head piece of this journey has really just hit me and I'm struggling. I feel like such a whingey crybaby! But I guess this is going to happen and I just have to work through it instead of doing what I normally do, which is say f*** it. Today I have pledged to note everything I am eating down. -

Help... I'm at a dangerous point. I am not losing and haven't for a while and I'm feeling frustrated and a bit down. I know we have stalls, but this is my danger point in every weight loss journey I've been on where I feel like saying 'f*** it'. Can someone talk me down off of the ledge? What AM I supposed to be eating right now? How often should I be eating? I'm feeling like I'm in a tailspin. -

So far, no. The medicine to prevent problems set my pouch off(they are touchy things). Hoping after the infusion and new meds, I can keep it. At least for now. However, if it has to go, I hope it is this year cause I am close to my out of pocket max on my medical! Sad, we have to think like that but grateful for coverage! Yes, it's so annoying to have to think in money terms. I really hope the medication works for you and you get to keep your gallbladder! -
I just have a question... how are you gaining it back? Is it mainly from grazing or are you now able to eat big meals? Have you thought about going back to talk to a surgeon about your options?
-
I couldn't eat eggs at the beginning - I can now. Maybe just give them a miss for a while and try again later once you've healed up.

My sleeve was horribly stretched out from corrective surgeries to fix my leak. Because of that, I was extremely hungry and so wasn't compliant on the diet. Since RNY I definitely feel restriction!

My jeans are really starting to hang off of me now. My wedding and engagement ring are flopping around on my finger. I keep catching sight of myself in mirrors in stores and not recognising the person looking back.

Thank you. I hope you do too! I had my gallbladder removed many many years ago when I was in my 20s - I know how painful the flare ups can be. Are you going to have yours taken out? -

I spoke too soon and jinxed myself... been throwing up for the last two days. You would think not being able to keep much down would be making me drop massive pounds! So weird. -
When did it stop? I wonder if it's slowed down because you don't have a lot to lose? It's so frustrating - hang in there.

I'm having the same thing... I hate it. I think I'm going to be saggy all over but to be honest I think I'd rather have a facelift than a tummy tuck. -

I'm still bouncing around the same few pounds, BUT... I have stopped throwing up! Yay! Haven't done so for 2 or 3 days now. Not sure what has changed... maybe I'm eating slower, maybe eating the right things, and stopping before I get too full. So thankful to have a break from it! -
Overeaters Anonymous - Should I go??

I went to OA once (years ago) and this poor atheist had no idea what to make of it all. It just wasn't for me. What I wish I could find is a life coach - I too am struggling with the snacking creeping back in. -

Feel the fear and do it anyway. That’s how I get through those moments. I’m sure you will be fine x -

I think another part of my problem right now is that I am grazing and feeling headhunger. This is a dangerous point for me - I need to figure this one out. -

Thank you - I think I need some perspective. I'll definitely try not to weigh for a bit... not sure how long I'll hold out! haha. I have strayed a little I think... a few tortilla chips here and there. I have had a hard time with proteins for some reason and have found carbs easier to digest, but I am trying to go back to proteins and eating slowly, etc. I've done a lot better with that today. ugh... a lifetime of bad habits to change. -

Is anyone else finding their appetite coming back? I've found myself getting hungry again. My weight loss has also really slowed down. Only 10 lbs in the last month.
