  1. I don't think it's just a matter of whether you have a high pain threshold. With my sleeve surgery, I had hardly any pain. With my Bypass, I woke up feeling like someone had ripped my left ovary out! I was in severe pain and was vocal about it! I've had other surgeries too... breast lump removed (total breeze), gall bladder removed (open surgery), countless stent placements and removals after my gastric leak and none of them were as painful as the bypass. However, my thought is always 'this will pass - this is momentary'. That's how I personally deal with pain. Unfortunately I wasn't quite prepared waking up from my surgery to deal with it mentally lol.

    I need a f*#+ing drink

About a month for me. I have to say that alcohol doesn't really agree with me any more though, which is a good thing. I'd rather pass on the empty calories.

I had my Gastric Bypass reversed 😞

Oh wow! Is this a risk for people who have bariatric surgery, or is this something you would have got anyway? I hope you recover swiftly!

    Your stall story

A dark and STALLY night hahaha

    Getting off cpap..?

I don't use mine any more. I also felt more tired using it. I figure that if I do still have sleep apnea, it's really mild now.

    February 2019 weight loss buds

I've been denied twice when I asked for something off of the children's menu, even with the explanation. If that's the case, I tell them I'm not eating and just let my husband eat. Crazy that some restaurants would rather go without any money than get some for a smaller portion.

I have to say how happy I am to be able to fit into 'normal' sizes in some shops now. I feel more like myself and I am wearing dresses for the first time in years! I have NO regrets with this surgery. Despite all of the issues, I am very happy with the continuing results.

    Pounds lost

    We all lose differently.

    Pounds lost

p.s. I have lost 80-something pounds with the Sleeve and then 54 lbs with the Bypass. Bypass averages 10 lbs per month.

    Pounds lost

I think this is a really good steady weight loss that is realistic. Great reminder to just keep going - make the right choices, keep pushing through the stalls.
  12. Actually, you've just reminded me... rice and sweet potatoes are both hard to digest. Those would be my two.

This is good info on thinning hair https://youtu.be/HTHsTGGqj7w
  14. Nothing is my kryptonite, but if I accidentally drink too soon or before eating, then it's game over for me. Slime central.
  15. I have had both the sleeve and the bypass. I woke up from my sleeve surgery hungry and remained hungry. I did have complications, so I'm not sure how much that played into things. I did not wake up from Bypass surgery hungry and I have more restriction and less hunger over all.

    Struggling with my decision

Any surgery can make you feel this way - the anaesthetic in your system can make you feel depressed. Give it some time for your body to adjust... I'm sure you will feel better soon.

I have an interesting NSV, as pointed out by my husband... I was going 90 in a 75 (I don't normally do this, but the scenery was amazing and I got distracted!) and the State Trooper let me off with a warning!

I find my appetite and restriction changes throughout the month with my cycle.

I think it depends on the individual - how much restriction you have, etc.

What does a typical day's food look like for you? I am having Starbucks too, but I am working it in to my day somehow, plus it's not an every day thing. Personally, I try to keep my calories at around 1000 if I can.

I did that for a bit.. I had a little bit of pasta and some fries for another meal. I was craving salad so badly though, so I ended up ordering a side salad in our hotel room. Nutritious and filling.

I found boiled egg at gas stations. I took some snacks with me too. I split all of my food with my mother - portions are crazy sizes anyway. I had half a veggie burger from Burger King. Left the bread. Also had the egg (without the muffin) with cheese from McDonalds. I drove from Denver to Las Vegas (with a stop at Moab). Can't believe how far it was!!

Just got back from a roadtrip - I did not eat very well at all... but I didn't gain any weight, so I'm really happy about that!
