My surgery was 9/14/17 my surgery weight was 306, i am now 239. I've been at a stall for about 4 months now. I am getting discouraged thinking the weight I am at now will be my weight I have to stick with. I am working out and eating healthy. I even switch it up with my workouts thinking this will help. I feel like 4 months is a long time. Has any one else experienced this long of a stall? Please tell me things will get going and I will start dropping soon. Any tips or things I should try?

41 lbs down at a little over 2 months. So far so good. I’m having a lot of gas pains in my shoulder and neck area really badly. Almost as bad as they were right after surgery. I’m drinking water plenty of it that’s all I️ drink. I️ eat clean except for thanksgiving of coarse I️ really don’t know why the pains are so sharp and bad I️ walk around. Anyone else experiencing this? Anything I️ can take?

UPDATE: So I'm 3 weeks post op I'm on my second stage which is textured and soft foods. I basically have been eating normal but healthy of coarse. So salads, Greek yogurt, grilled chicken and sometimes nuts. I've even tried the kind protein bars. I'm doing great the trick is to eat slow and I'm doing ok with that. I'm still doing 1 protein shake a day and that's ok too I'm learning to add bananas and peanut butter protein to make them taste different I've even tried mango from the Bariatric pal website. So far I've lost 22 lbs total I started at 306 and I'm now 284 as of tonight. I feel like I need to start incorporating some cardio and weights into my routine. I can feel my skin getting softer and more grab-able. It's scaring me. I'm excited to see what the next couple of weeks has to offer [emoji847]

How soon did everyone start eating solids or even soft foods. I am one week out and I'm suppose to still be doing liquids and my funnel diet which includes scrambled eggs and Greek yogurt and broths for another week. but the nurses keep telling me I can slowly start eating regular foods now. I'm scared and don't want to mess anything up.

Not even one week ago. For you there it would be 14/09/2017. Maybe I should wait it out to see what happens but it's very painful [emoji37]

My surgery was 9/14

So my chest and throat pains are still here and I had my surgery 9/14! When I eat and drink. So now I'm at a point where I have to eat and drink because one Im hungry and thirsty and of coarse I need to be getting things in. The only solid food I've tried is eggs scrambled as my doctor said I could. But even chewing super slow and sipping tiny bits I still have pain. Seen the doctor today he said give it another week and see if it's still happening. Now I'm so used to the pain I'm not sure if it's ok because I deal with it all day and while I'm eating. [emoji30] anyone else experienced this before?? Help!

Has anyone tried this? Does it give all the vitamins needed for Bariatric sleeve patients. I'm very interested in buying this versus taking all the pill and chewable formats of vitamins but wanted some feed back before I purchase. Any tips, suggestions, comments or concerns?

Am I going to have to sip slow forever? I've always been big on drinking plenty water and I feel like I'm dying of thirst right now and can't do anything but sip it slowly. Will this be always or just couple weeks out

Day 3 Still having horrible chest pains and hard for me to breathe in and out. Also hard for me to lay flat. I'm sipping the smallest amounts possible. I feel so thirsty but since it hurts so much when I swallow I don't want to cause pain.

Again I'm only 3 days post op but pain and soreness is all over feels like. Mostly in my next and shoulders I can't sleep very well at all. My husband thinks I'm over exaggerating but really it's horrible. My incisions burn like hell. It hurts when I swallow anything at all. I've been walking every hour or so to move all the gas around it's definitely gotten better since I came home Thursday but I feel like my c-section 9 months ago was a little easier than this! Taking the hydrocodone that was given as needed but that just makes me sleepy and doesn't really help. I'm having a lot of regrets about the surgery in general. Is this normal? At this point I'm giving my husband all the more reason to state his opinions on my I shouldn't have went through with this. I hope it gets better and hopefully I'll be able to look back and smile very soon.
