Where are all the 50 something bypass patients?
Gingerrose replied to choosehope's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Hi I had my RNY surgery in September and I’m very happy I did it. I’m no longer obese and no longer on diabetes and high blood pressure meds. I’ve lost nearly 80 pounds since Pre -op diet and feel much better about myself. Hope you all are doing well. -

Tomorrow I'm 3 weeks out and I feel pretty good...still having a hard time getting all of my fluids and protein....but I have lost about 20 pounds including the pre-op diet.... so that's nice. -

Hi ...I'm 55 and had a RNY on 9/5/17 Seems like not many people are participating in this group anymore. -
I had some very bad hip pain in my left hip a few days after surgery...relieved it feels better after three days.

Must-haves post surgery?
Gingerrose replied to Seerae3's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is going to sound simplistic...but for me...I was so happy to have cottage cheese, sugar free ices, and chicken broth. I also needed stool softener, and benedryl spray for when my incisions started to itch when healing. I have a reclining chair which is nice to find a comfy position...try to get some loose pants or a night gown. -
