Hey. I haven't had my sleeve yet (Monday yeah!) But I have had several surgeries/procedures and I assume they put in a tube. My throat is usually sore when I wake up. But they wait until you're asleep to do it so other than the after effect of a sore throat you probably won't even know it.

Same date here and there's at least one other person on here with that date also. Where are you from?

I'm worried about my liver too. I'm planning on 3 days liquid though I was told only 1 day. Glad to see someone else has the same ideas. I know what you mean about these boards. I honestly felt somewhat uninformed about the aftermath of the surgery and reading on the boards has truly calmed me down. Good luck with yours [emoji5] Sent from my LG-H871 using BariatricPal mobile app

I hope we all do as well. Good for you

Yeah that's the main reason I'm having surgery. Yes it will feel nice to be smaller and not stared at and all the other benefits but my joints are the big reason. Sent from my LG-H871 using BariatricPal mobile app

Yeah I'm on the same plan I guess. I'm on lean/greena and there seem to be several options for protein but although I really like most green veggies there doesn't seem to be as many choices for that. I also don't like being told to "eat your veggies" Sent from my LG-H871 using BariatricPal mobile app

I go on the 13th. I'm not able to do much walking now (bad knees and hip) so 6 miles in 2 days seems difficult to me. But I'm glad you were able to do that. So cool.

Fibromyalgia Sleevers
jadelynn812 replied to ILOVETEXAS210's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks. I haven't heard of that but it's definitely how I felt. Thanks so much. How long does it last? I haven't felt that way the whole time and it was no where as bad as that day but I still sometimes feel that. Sent from my LG-H871 using BariatricPal mobile app -
Liquid Diet Started Today
jadelynn812 replied to rayb70's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm not sure if I could handle just shakes. I guess it's one of those ends worth the means though. If my doc said i had to eat tree bark I would give it my best effort just to get the surgery though. I'm so tired of carrying an extra person with me all the time [emoji3] . Best of luck Sent from my LG-H871 using BariatricPal mobile app -
Liquid Diet Started Today
jadelynn812 replied to rayb70's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm in Tyler, TX. Yeah I'm allowed up to 5 shakes, green veggies and lean meat once a day and if I need it bars from slimfast or atkins or the like. I'm having trouble with some of the dynamics of the diet like drinking enough water and making myself take small bites and chew until it's basically blended in my mouth like in a blender. How long is your doc predicting you'll have to stay? Mine says average 2 days. Sent from my LG-H871 using BariatricPal mobile app -
Fibromyalgia Sleevers
jadelynn812 replied to ILOVETEXAS210's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey fellow fibro people. I just started my preop diet yesterday and when I woke this morning I was sore EVERYWHERE. It's cold and wet here but I don't remember ever hurting this bad all over. Did any of you experience this? For now I'm still on all my meds that seemed to be controlling it but today... Sent from my LG-H871 using BariatricPal mobile app -

I have the same dates. Are you having to do a full 2 week liquid? From reading on this site it seems like I'm lucky, I get 1 lean/green meal a day until the day before. Sent from my LG-H871 using BariatricPal mobile app -
I totally understand the "ex" aspect. I've been trying to eat all the things I will miss. It's going to be weird not have it in my life any longer. Start my preop diet tomorrow so trying to get my "last time" finished. Good luck on your surgery. It seems like something we've waited for so long is finally happening (sorry that I am assuming how you feel it just seems that's how we all feel). I'm 3 days after you.

Is anyone else having theirs Nov13? I've seen some Texans on here. Anyone in East Texas? Sent from my LG-H871 using BariatricPal mobile app

What do you do when you get sick
jadelynn812 posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey everyone! I am around 6 weeks presurgery, and I caught a cold, which made me wonder, what do you do when you're ill and you need things like cough syrup (which I'm sure have sugar in them) or sprite/7up for an upset tummy? Sent from my LG-H871 using BariatricPal mobile app -

Another possibility...I don't know if it's ok post surgery but for now I take a prescription called Amitiza to keep things moving. Just another idea if it becomes persistent.

I'm glad you're doing well. I'm hoping to have a sleeve in October and I also have bp2 plus anxiety and psychosis. It took a long time to get "stable" and I am a little worried about my meds but glad to know some peoples meds still do OK. Good for you and thanks for posting. I don't know if you've had your appt yet but at my last visit I asked my psychiatrist about my meds and he said we would just have to wait until after my surgery and see..that everyone reacts differently. So far the only thing I've been told I would have to stop was my antiinflammatory meds. Nervous about that since I have fibromyalgia but worth it to get the surgery (specially if it helps my fibro). My advice...try not to worry until a doctor tells you one way or another. Good luck Sent from my NS-P10A7100 using BariatricPal mobile app

If you're desperate then Walmart and I'm sure other pharmacies sell OTC enemas. Not pleasant but sometimes necessary Sent from my NS-P10A7100 using BariatricPal mobile app

Haven't had it yet but when I talked to my doc he didn't seem bothered by my 330 body and doing a sleeve. Don't know if he thinks I'll lose enough during the pre surgery diet or what but that's what he and I decided to shoot for. Sent from my NS-P10A7100 using BariatricPal mobile app

Question about protein shakes
jadelynn812 replied to sarajane80's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't know if it's available everywhere but my local Walmart has sugar free, fat free Hershey's chocolate syrup. If you like chocolate I'd try that. My powder isn't super gross but the syrup still makes it better. Sent from my NS-P10A7100 using BariatricPal mobile app
