    Phase 2 diet ideas

I had seen a recipe for combining protein drink and pudding mix that I was actually excited to try, but unfortunately I'm not allowed yogurts or puddings until phase 3 - at least according to my doctors guide What cream soups did you have? Just mushroom and tomato? I was hoping to make different soups like cauliflower or roasted carrot and "creaming" it in the blender but not sure if that would be allowed lol Sent from my SM-G930T using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. So I got the ok from my doctor to begin the phase 2 "full" liquid diet for 2 weeks. The list I received of approved foods is pretty vague: -soups( blended and strained) -milk/almond/soy -cream of wheat -protein shakes Looking for a more specific list of foods, so please share what you had or what you are having while on phase 2! Phase 2 diet ideas

Oh of course! I should have clarified better, I'm looking more for reccomendations for different brands of protein drinks (I'm on premier protein), creamed soups or soup recipes that tasted decent, or even just an idea of what your daily liquid diet looks like (meal plan wise). 4. My insurance approved it 5 days before my surgery was scheduled! I started the process at the end of July and I just had surgery this past Tuesday so it took a little over a month for them to approve it. Sent from my SM-G930T using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. I'm about a week post op (9/5/17) and I am feeling hunger pangs- or what I think is hunger pangs! I'm on liquids right now but I don't feel completely satisfied, I desperately want to eat at times, I would kill just for a grape! Uhggg. I was under the impression my hunger pangs would be non existent after surgery, but that's not the case for me. How did you deal with hunger pangs so soon after surgery? I also feel like I am able to drink too much too fast. I can finish a bottle of premier protein within 20 mins. I am mindful of pacing myself but I feel like my stomach can handle a lot more liquid than I should be able to? I'm just really paranoid of stretching my stomach! Week out and hunger pangs!

Before surgery i had two feelings- ravenous hunger and overstuffed. I will take a couple sips of my liquid and I will feel okay, it takes away my hunger pangs, but I'm not quite sure if I feel satisfied or full at all. I'm not used to that feeling lol. But i have read before that liquids get pushed through. I'm really looking forward to entering phase 2 and testing out blended soups. Hoping I will get the ok from my doctor at my upcoming check up! Well wishes to you also! Sent from my SM-G930T using BariatricPal mobile app

    Week out and hunger pangs!

Yess! I was a total chugger before surgery! I could drink a full bottle of water within seconds. That's one of the hardest things to get used to, is mindfully sipping my liquid instead of guzzling it down. I ended up drinking one of my protein drinks too fast a few days ago, i felt soo nauseated and ended up passing out for a good 16 hr nap right after. Weirdest thing. But oh how I would love to just chug an ice cold water! Sucking on popsicles is a good idea. I think i will freeze some of my vitamin waters.
