My doctor said since I get reflux rarely and I have a terrible time taking the pill prescribed I no longer have to take the acid reducers. This was discussed a few weeks ago. I had a mild bout of acid reflux last night when trying to go to bed which is why I posted this question. Just want to know if Tums are safe to take every once in a while.

I have mild acid reflux every once and a while. Am I allowed to take tums? I'm almost one month post op.
