    Austin Fill Center USA

Yeah I'd like to hear more about them as well. I live in Austin but my surgeon is in Houston so I have to trek back whenever I need a fill or an appointment.

    Any others banded on 3/20/08

I was banded 3/24. Is that close enough? I'm in bandster hell, and I'm able to eat a lot, although it has to be the right texture (I'm still paranoid about eating coarse things like lettuce and steak). My first fill is May 7th and I'm looking forward to it, but I'm anxious. I lose about a pound every three days now and I've upped my exercise level with multiple brisk walks throughout the day.
  3. I was banded just over 3 weeks ago and I am experiencing this strange back pain about 5 or so hours after I've fallen asleep. The pain isn't sharp and it doesn't feel like I'm pulling anything, it's just general pain between my shoulder blades and down to the center of my back. I always wake up at the same time every night with the same pain and eventually I fall back asleep without any pain (so I've ruled out the bed). I'm still wondering if it's the CO2 that's doing this. Or if it has something to do with my digestive tract? Has anyone else felt this?

    Sleep Test

I had a sleep study because my BMI was lower than 40 and I needed a co-morbidity in order to qualify for insurance.
  5. Yeah it is interesting to see the differences between doctors. It could have something to do with the method of inserting the lapband (i.e. number of internal stitches) but I honestly have no idea. My doctor's diet consisted of: 2 weeks liquid 2 weeks puree (where I am now) 1 week soft Starting six weeks post op I can eat my regular diet, but with a concentration on eating Proteins first. I've had so many temptations and frustrations. Especially because I feel like time is slowing down and the days drag on and on. But I just have to remember that the food isn't going anywhere and will be there when I am six weeks post op. So I'll just sit here and have my applesauce until then.

    Just call me Bloated Betty...

I was banded March 24th and I have been having the same problem. I conquered the CO2/shoulder pain gas by going for short walks around the block but if it's the other kind of has...My solution is a little different. Try drinking a cup of coffee. It seems to get everything going.
