  1. Thank you! At the end of the day I just have to try to get this tool working. I’m sure the stalls will end when my body finally adjusts. I can’t give up on it, that’s not an option. I didn’t go through this to be the same!
  2. 6 weeks post-op today! I can’t believe how quickly 6 weeks went by. I cannot say that I’m truly happy with my progress. Due to hormones, stress, and everything else my body is just fighting me and not losing at all. If it weren’t for how great I feel, I’d probably have all of the regrets. I do notice slight changes in my body. Everything is looser, my boobs and thighs are shrinking, my tummy is super jiggly (but not smaller). All I can do is keep on pushing through this stall and hoping for the best!
  3. I just recently bought bariatric capsule vitamins from procare health. I like them so far. Also bought their calcium chews
  4. How far out are you? My surgeon didn’t allow me to take vitamins until the 3 week mark. He said they tend to make you feel not so good if you take them early on post op
  5. Have you tried the infamous ricotta bake? Are you allowed tuna? I was allowed tuna. Thankfully I only had to do that stage for a week
  6. It’s weird that steak and other forms of beef are on my okay list, just not ground beef. And I can’t imagine what it’s like for people going through this early on either. I experienced nausea and a phantom vomit session a few hours after surgery but I didn’t get nauseous again until the day I was discharged and they gave me something for it. Never experienced nausea again after that. 5 weeks post op and I handle most of the foods on my okay list well. I love ground beef but I’m afraid to even take a chance on it, lol. Conflicting info from my nutritionist and my surgeon’s office. And you definitely can’t go wrong with a shake
  7. Well for one, I was told to only use the leanest ground beef prior to surgery, but post op, I was told not to eat any ground beef because it is too tough for my new pouch to digest. I’m back on a full diet and I still haven’t bothered it because I was instructed not to. I’m sorry you went through that. Maybe it was too much for your new tummy
  8. Have you tried doing an ice pack on them?
  9. You have totally got this! And I’ll be honest, I didn’t practice that at all. Only practiced chewing more and eating with smaller utensils. My pouch definitely made certain that I nibbled though, lol. Things will feel like lead hitting your new stomach. You will catch on quickly. Best wishes! 🤗
  10. My dear Emily, you have got this. Breathe! You will have the diet down because you wanted change and honestly, I don’t think you’re really going to crave the awful stuff too much. And I pray things work out with the pick up situation for your children. Are there any people close to you beside your family members that know about your surgery that can help with your kids?
  11. You’re welcome and trust me! It will be here quicker than you think!
  12. I have no idea, it never works for me. That’s why I just quote whoever I’m replying to
  13. Nice! And I got so tired of chicken broth! I started using French onion soup (strained), and beefy onion soup (also strained). I haven’t tried any protein waters yet
  14. I did!!! I'm scheduled for August 28th! Congrats! I’m so happy for you!!!
  15. It gets better. Congrats on your surgery!
  16. I forgot to mention that sugar free flavor enhancers (flavor packs, mio, things along that line) help the water go down a lot smoother and less clunky for some reason
  17. When everything else fails with the gas, walk and walk some more! I hope you feel better soon!
  18. I lost track of the surgery dates. Did you get your date?
  19. My papers had milk of magnesia on the list. I guess every surgeon is different. I know milk of magnesia worked for me recently
  20. Good night and best of luck tomorrow! See you on the post op side former surgery day sister 😉
  21. An error posted that twice so I just edited to try to fix it since it won’t let me delete the duplicate
  22. You are so welcome! I know that pain personally. I got tired of liquids very quickly. As you progress it definitely gets better. You’ve got this! 😊😊😊
  23. Oh okay, got it. 31 days post op and I still feel like my range of motion could use a little more work. I walk fine but if I bend or turn my body weird I’m in pain. It’s awful. I want the faint soreness in my tummy to leave already
