  2. You’re welcome! We all need the reminder sometimes. And I’ve had the same problem. Milk of magnesia helps with that 😉
  3. Confession Time: I haven’t second guessed myself, still not doing so, but I have to confess that in the back of my mind I felt like I would get this surgery and still not be healthy. It was a very negative and very sad thought. I questioned how would this time be any different from the other times that I ate right, exercised like crazy, only to lose a little weight and gain back even more no matter how healthy my diet or exercise regimen. Still I was decided on doing this surgery, I have to try right. Well now I’ve been bit with the positivity bug from all of the well wishes and encouragement that all of you and even my whole medical team instills in me. It finally hit me today that this time, it actually will be different. How do I know? My determination to get healthier, my complete and utter commitment to this process, liquid diet and all. I just cannot fail. So to anyone who is second guessing or feeling like this isn’t going to work. Banish the thought. We’ve got this 😉

  5. Yay us! Just finished my last shake. Forced down a little broth to get rid of the sweet taste. I love the support too it’s like a big family! On to day 7 for us!
  6. We started our pre-op diet the same day. I am tired and have a headache but I am not hungry. I’m allowed 3 shakes and 2 100 max yogurts a day. I do 3 shakes and a yogurt and that is tough! My biggest issues are that as the days go on, I’m having a harder time getting my required stuff in because I’m too full. Also I miss chewing so much! Chicken broth helps for when I need to cleanse my palette of all of the sweetness but the urge to chew is real! Good luck! Hope you’re doing better than I am at this point

  8. Update: almost done with day 6. Still have a protein shake to go. Currently trying to finish my yogurt. I froze it for a texture change which has helped a lot
  9. Congrats and keep us posted on your date. This is the right to make some surgery buddies. There is even a list (which you can find on page 19) that has all of the members and their dates and tentative dates
  10. You’ll be out of this liquid misery a little sooner than me, lol. June 27th sounds like a great day for a rebirth 🙂 My surgeon says 3:15pm but the hospital said they have to call me the day before to give me my actual time because surgery times often change for earlier than originally anticipated
  11. I have the headaches too! I’m not hungry at this point but it’s getting harder to drink my required protein. And I’d usually take excedrin for the headaches but I know the rule is Tylenol. Which sucks because Tylenol has never in the history of ever worked for any kind of headache or pains I’ve had 🤦🏽‍♀️ Good luck! We’re almost at the finish line to start our new lives
  12. Almost there, just a few more days of this diet to survive...then comes the struggle to get in enough proteins and liquids, lol
  13. I’d die, like all of that stuff sounds amazing right now. But I’m glad you’ve been able to stay on the straight and narrow. I’ve had people telling me it’s okay to cheat a little. I’m like “nope, I take this surgery and this diet very seriously. I will not cheat!” And I haven’t, I’m proud really, lol
  14. I also love brownies, and here I am being awful because my goodness brownies with ice cream is such a delicious treat. I have to stop, no need to torment myself 🙃
  15. It’s to a point that the smell of food makes me nauseous for some reason. Like I have to leave the room until the smell airs out. And I can’t lie, I’m a little cranky because I miss the ability to chew 😩 and if one more person calls me talking about the delicious meal they just had I’m going to explode! 🤯
  16. I really had to force that 3rd shake down. It’s a new day and I’m still not hungry but I know that I have to do the 3 shakes. They also wanted me to do 2 yogurts but I can only stomach 1 yogurt a day with the shakes. Day 6 now, I’m on full liquids until Monday and then Tuesday and Wednesday are clear liquids only. Wishing you the best, we’ve got this...even if we have to come here and cry about it sometimes, lol

  18. Day 5 complete. This diet is getting harder for me. Not because I’m hungry, but because apparently my stomach has shrank more than I thought. It’s getting harder for me to drink the protein. Takes me a longer time to consume it because I’m so full. Then I just feel uncomfortable afterward 😩 Just 3 more days of full liquids then 2 of clear liquids
  19. I eat them sometimes but I don’t exactly chew them, lol. I bought like 4 boxes just for this diet 😂😂😂
  20. You’re welcome! And that is normal. Sometimes you just need a friendly reminder that you’ve chosen this route for a reason. You can always gripe about any fears or frustrations to us here 😉
