We will be in Las Vegas in July on vacation. I had my lap band done the end of April. I know this may sound silly, but do any of you have suggestions for what kind of drinks I could order when playing the tables since diet soda is out? I am not a fan of wine and would like to get something besides coffee & Water. Also suggestions for reasonable places to eat would be appreciated, especially where it would be OK to share a plate with my husband. We will have a rental car and will be staying out on Boulder Highway. Thanks, Sharon from OKC

I also went for my second fill yesterday. I now have 3.5 cc in a 10 cc band, I can tell that I have some restriction/swelling. My doctor will only increase in 0.5 cc increments from now on, but did say if it took 4 or 5 fills that he would do the next under floro to make sure I had good restriction then. I hope the weight loss goes faster now. Sharon

I was banded on Tuesday April 29th & my dr. has us do 2 wks of liquids then 2 wks of mushies, then advance slowly as tolerated. I know two people that had my same band date are already on mushies. Today has been the first day that I have felt hungry. I do think that we have to follow our own dr.'s instructions (as much as I hate saying that). 33#'s is a great weight loss! Congrats. Sharon

So far the liquid diet hasn't been as bad as I was expecting. I had a board meeting tonight at a Mexican Resturant. I drank my Atkins shake on the way to the meeting. When the waiter took my order I told him it would probably be the strangest request he ever had, but could I just have the broth from the taco Soup and have it strained. He brought me a bowl of clear broth that tasted great, plus it was one of the cheapest meals I have ever had. : )

We can do it, just one more week till our "Band Day".
