UGH!!!!!!!!!! I found out today that my band had not slipped. I have a constant pain in my throat. It feels like I am going to gag or my throat has a huge lump of something stuck in it. So I found out today that my body is just really sensitive to the band and I can feel it. And that this pain is not going to go away. And I am just going to have to learn to deal with this anoying knot in my throat at all times. I have no plans to have the band removed, but if I ever have to it will be a happy day for my throat. But a sad day for my buttox Jen

I am 5 weeks out and don't get my first fill until next week! =) Today the pain is A LOT better still noticable but not anoying. You know I don't even know what size band I have. I will ask next week when I go in. I feel like I have to put the pros and cons on paper and compare losing weight one one side and on the other an anoying knot in my throat. I need this band. It by far is the best thing I have ever done for "me" jen

They said it wasn't going to get better. But I can kind of control it by what I eat. It's also better if I have food in my band rather then an empty stomach. Jen

I need prayers please. I am 4 1/2 weeks out and I am fairly certin that my band has slipped. I think I ate chicken to fast on Friday and for the last 3 days I have pain in my band area and all the way up to my throat and it feels like I have a big lump in my throat I am back on liquids 100% today Yesterday I ate about 50/50 liquids solids. I just need your support and hugs. I don't have insurace and to spend the money on to have my band fixed will put a finantual strain on my family. Thanks Jen

tell them you have a hernia and you are going to get it fixed. I wish I would have done this because why my dr was doing my surgery he noticed I had a hernia in my esosphagus and fixed it. So for me to tell them it wouldn't have been a lie. JEn

My Dr's office just told me that you can get to the deed when you feel like you want to. Jen

I find it humorous when people want to make up their own rules. jen

Just wanted to start a positive thread. I am looking forward to having more energy, better sex and not not worrying if I am going to brake the toliet when I sit down:teeth: jen -
I frequent a board and a lady on there WON $20,000 today on a race to a waist compition her in the Salt Lake Valley. She lost 90 pounds in 3 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!! here is what she said copy pasted Well thank you every one. I wish I could say that I ate right and worked out but it is only half true. I worked out every day but Sunday. The other thing I did do a colon cleanse (which I realize has been debated on this board) and juiced vegies. After I did the colonic I ate for Thanksgiving and gained 12 lbs. I realized then that I had rung the proverbial bell and couldn't unring it and went back to juicing. (I hope I didn't loose any one with that one...I just meant I couldn't go back to eating until after the race). As for the winnings there will be a need for surgery but that will be a year from now. I need to finish loosing (180 is my goal) and my body needs to see what is going to bounce back. I have a feeling my b**bs never will and my stomach will need a little help as well. wow! Just WOW! jen

I sent my paperwork in at the beginning of the month and got the call two days ago and they gave me a surgery date of Jan 26th. post op seminar was last night Wed 18th apt with dr. Thur 26th surgery. I am nervous about slipping because I have a weak stomach and vomit easily. And last night it hit me that when I am 75 I will still have the lap ban. I wonder how many surgerys I will have to have in the next 50+ years to correct slipping. jen

hey sorry to hijack, but I have some questions for you. Do you regret having the surgery? Your story has really made me question if this is the right thing for me to do. Have you tired body for life? Everyone that I know that have done it have had amazing results. And they were never hungry because of the balance of proteine and carbs. thanks. jen

I am getting baned on 1-26 by dr Layton Alldredge in Sandy. the cost is around 13K but includes the frist year of fills and a support group. I sent my papers in the frist week on Jan, and since I am private pay happening very quickly. Jen

Here in utah it's $12,900 with the first year of fill included. jen

UGH she really bugs me. For ages she was the poster child for overweight women, Luv your fat!!! Then she loses all this weight and won't own up to having surgery. It really makes me think poorly of her. Not the greatest example for her loyal viewers who think that they too can just drop 150 pounds with out surgery. jen
