  1. I was 58 when I had my surgery. Already way past menopause. I weighed just under 300 ( cant't remember but in in my stats I think) pounds a week from surgery. I hit my goal of 150.0 pounds in July or August 2019. (The stats are on my ticket I think) I thought that was a pretty steady weight loss. Good luck with everything. Di

I am three years out and still can't eat cereal without getting sick. I just don't eat it at all now.

    I hate food....

I'm so sorry Suzi. I hated food too. I didn't have the kinds of problems you are having, but food just didn't taste the same. I only ate because I had to. The one thing I really enjoyed was the Bariatric Pal hot chocolate. I know at 6 weeks out they do not advise this for our meals, however I figured it was better than not getting any nutrients. Please know we are all thinking of you and hope this will pass soon for you. ❤
  6. Absolutely stunning! Great job!
  7. Well let's hope for the best, you don't need that to happen again.
  8. How was your Dr. Appointment yesterday? Are you feeling better today? Thinking of you.
  9. Good luck at the Doctors today. Feel better soon.
  10. Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. The one thing that was never mentioned was you can get gout during the fasting before surgery, and also after. I'd say that was worse than any pain I'd ever had. After surgery, food tasted terrible. So for me, I could care less what other people were eating. The surgery also disrupts your hunger hormone. So, people that I know that had the surgery, just were not hungry. Constpation was a problem for me, but it settled after a few months. I wish you the very best on you upcoming surgery and for a smooth transition after.

    Three year surgiversary.

Hello, thank you for your kind words. The reason I decided to go below my goal weight was this. I kept hearing about a 20 lb average weight gain at around 2 years out from surgery. I figured if that was a possibility, that I should prepare for that. I am 3 years 3 months out from my surgery date. Fortunately, I didn't gain the 20 lbs. I don't feel like I am too thin. Flabby yes. It has been a struggle to exercise since Covid19. I am sure I'm not the only one struggling. When will you have your surgery? What surgery did you decide on? I am praying for everyone playing the waiting game due to covid19.

    10 months post op issues

The taste of food for me was not good. This lasted 18 months for me. I ate because I had to. I am fine now with the taste of foods. I am three years out.

    Symptoms of gallstones?

My symptoms were severe pain under right last rib. Also, severe back pain under shoulder blade.
  19. Oh gosh! I know how frustrating this is. I gained after surgery too. I agree with other posters that this is due to IV fluids. I think I lost the water weight and a few more pounds at week two. Hang in there. None of my business, but it seems you are doing way to much for being a week out. Cudos to you that you are able to work so hard just being a week-out of surgery, you must not be old like me. LOL!!! Keep up the good work!
  20. Ok. Make sure your B12 is sublingual and not oral. When you mentioned brain fog, I was thinking, hmmmmmm? Could it be B12 issue. I wish you the best.
