It was captioned. You maybe set the CC [closed captions] button to off.

    Intermittent Fasting

They are captioned. Unless you're hard of hearing, you won't need the captions. Except for the bogans and rednecks, we speak great English in this country.

    Calling all October sleevers!!

No ... Weblock works on killing ads and pop-ups almost everywhere except FaceBook. AdBlockPlus works on the laptop with TrendMicro Security ... again, the FaceBook algorithm can slip through. Example: I said one day in February 2016 on my Facebook feed that I was pissed off be new electricity charges. Within five hours two electricity retailer reps had been to my front door canvassing for my change of business. And within 24 hours, I had been messaged/emailed by five others. That's the 5h1t that pisses me off.

    Calling all October sleevers!!

Sadly, I cannot stand Facebook or all its actual and subliminal advertising and dirty links. I gave up using it as it was just too annoying to have me comments filtered by algorithms and then used to market 5h1t to me that I did not want. I refuse to pay for people to use my bandwidth to market to me. Disgusting.

    Intermittent Fasting

I mentioned YESTERDAY (Saturday 28th Oct) that I had been watching a show about modern gut science. Well, TODAY (Sunday 29th Oct), I am up early watching the FINAL of the under 17 (male) FOOTBALL World Cup on TV and I did a search for the URLs for those programs. Here they are: 1. Catalyst Science Show The Gut Revolution - Part 1 - Melissa’s Story http://iview.abc.net.au/programs/catalyst/SC1602H010S00 Is your mood influencing your gastrointestinal health or is it the other way around? Can a nutritional intervention provide help to sufferers of irritable bowel syndrome where modern medicine has little to offer? 2. Catalyst Science Show The Gut Revolution - Part 2 - Garry’s Story http://iview.abc.net.au/programs/catalyst/SC1602H011S00 Garry has tried to lose weight, but could his gut bacteria be keeping him fat? Nutrition scientist Dr Joanna McMillan explores controversial science suggesting gut bacteria might be affecting our appetites and mood. This episode also explores types of intermittent fasting [IF] that have tested positive benefits.

    Intermittent Fasting

This (IF) applied to changing the gut "chemistry" was the subject of three one-hour science/medicine specials over three weeks (in Australia). Its final part was today. There is a great body of supportive evidence. I'll post some links in the next 24-36 hours.

Where is everyone from City & State

City: Newcastle, State: New South Wales, Country: Australia.
  12. Pleased by your choice for you! While I am a big fan of openness and frankness in most aspects of life and living, this is a tough call. Explaining and correcting the naysayers and the armchair experts in one's family and work team is an absolute pain in the arse. It's time-consuming, energy-sapping and extremely repetitive. I felt wrung out making my case over and over again.

Positive wishes to you as you move into the improved future!
  14. Look hard at the nutrition panel ... the ones I quoted earlier had more grams of protein than carbs. Ratios were about 4:3 and 3:2. You would have seen too that I make my own in the blender ... a salmon salad.
  15. It's easy, cheap and you can eat one or two pouches depending on your hunger or time available. The best thing is: there are so many great choices; good aroma; small pureed adult style flavours.
  16. Third day on pureed foods for me. I have a superb blender so today, at lunchtime, I put a quartered tomato, half a medium cucumber, 125mL of Essentials Greens vegetable juice and 50 grams of shaved salmon into a medium blender cup. 20 seconds in the blender and a I was soon having a pureed salmon salad. Pretty good. I could've added water or liquid stock and heated it as soup. - - - Yesterday's lunch was a pouch of Aldi Mamia organic baby food 10+ months (Beef, Potato & Pumpkin). About 170g. Yesterday's evening meal was another pouch of Aldi Mamia organic baby food 10+ months (Lamb Bolognese). Also about 170g. - - - Baby foods are flavoursome, pure and low salt, low sugar these days ... no like the crap canned/bottled baby foods of the 1950s & 1960s. Two minutes in a microwave for a $1.29 meal is great value too.

  19. Brands: Fusion, Blackmores, Natures Way, Centrum, Swisse, Cenovis. (They all use sub-lingual. Blackmores owns the term "RAPI-MELT".) Sub-linguals in: Women's Multi-vitamin, Men's Multi-vitamin, B12, Iron, D (and others) Get your prices online. Most pharmacies and drug-stores have specials which others will price-match. n.b. Centrum have a half price week this week. Swisse IRON is also half price. I just bought a year's supply (360 tabs) of Centrum Men's 50+ multi-vitamin for $11.55 per 90 tabs. (Discount Drug Store price-matching Priceline's online catalogue price.) I also bought 360 tabs of Blackmores B12 Rapimelts for $12.05 per 60 tabs. (Discount Drug Store price-matching Pharmacy Direct's online catalogue price.) The Swisse IRON was on sale at my local supermarket.

    A Strange Change

That my diet now adds up to only 850 to 1350 calories per day and that I simply peter out a lot earlier. On top of my seven to eight-and-a-half hours regular sleep, I seem to need a further 1.5 to 2.5 hours of daytime naps. It's not a negative ... but I do work for 2 to 4 hours four days per week and I have have three evenings where I am locked in to long-term social activity groups. I try to get a late-morning or post-lunch siesta to maintain my afternoon and evening focus.
  21. Two words: Sub-lingual vitamins. Nearly all vitamins and supplements are made in a sub-lingual form. "Sub-lingual" means "under tongue". I slip my B12 and my iron in my mouth under my tongue and they melt away quickly and get swallowed with my saliva. Another clue to sub-linguals is the word "RAPI-MELT" for "rapid melting" for these types of vitamins. Best wishes getting past this impasse.

    Need advice

If it's clear that the cheapest option has a record of good patient outcomes. But, if the long term history of a low-cost surgeon or clinic shows a range of problems and complications, you may have to reconsider. "Buy your healthcare up to a standard not down to a price," is an adage of my dad's.

Can you add my surgeon to the directory?

You can add doctors/surgeons yourself from your profile page ... account settings, etc.
  24. Everyone prior to me has said ALL that needs to be said. 1. See your doctor. 2. Keep a food diary and weigh everything you eat. Perhaps, try www.myfitnesspal.com 3. Remember that the diet REALLY is the key to weight loss. The exercise is toning and fitness and good for your body but controlling calories is time-honoured and it works. Patience and Commitment are yours to add. 4. To build your endurance, ready for full-on exercise later, try the Youtube videos someone posted for you or see the right sort of trainer or exercise therapist WITH YOUR DOCTOR'S BLESSING. Best wishes to get it right for your ultimate benefit.

    Breastfeeding after Post-Op

I'm not sure but I'd say there's a very small number of people here that could give you real advice or help. This is one that I sincerely hope your personal physician and your bariatric surgeon already know about and have dispensed their best advice to you. If it's not clear to you now, PLEASE PHONE one or both of them and seek help A.S.A.P.
