What happened to Fenton? Takecare everyone Pat

Hi everyone i have not posted in months but have been doing alot of reading to catch up.I had my band a year on the 25th.it is amazing the things that happen in a year.I have lost 67lbs i'm happy with that because i have not always been a good bandster.I think I finally have correct restriction i can only eat about .5 of a cup of food after that I get the pain. It is amazing how well we all have done despite the many things that came our way. just wanted to say thanks to all of you,the journey is easier when shared with others.I still have the love hate relationship with the band but hey it's working.Take care all Pat

Hi all Just wondering if anyone has been on paxil and then come off.I have been on it for two years and now weening myself off.I have read some horror stories on withdrawal from it.I have gone from 30mg down to 15mg in 10 days.So far so good no withdrawal. Thanks in advance Pat

Hey everyone Well I finally did it,reached the 50lbs lost.:thumbup:I could not believe my eyes when I stepped on the scale yesterday and it said 237,I had to get off and try again.I can be happy now and enjoy the moment,I was too sick yesterday to post or should I say boast because I had a tooth removed that got infected and was pretty miserable for a few days.I'm on the mend now so thats a plus.Have to get DH to figure out the ticker thing. I think we are an amazing bunch to have been able to carry around all this extra weight and still been able to do things no wonder we had problems. I was at the supermarket today and saw a 50lb bag of potatoes and was not able to lift it yet I carried it around for years.I can't help but wonder what I will feel like when the next 90 comes off. Thanks all for help and support along the way and letting me be a part of this journey we all share. Pat

Hey Tess I know the feeling,I can't do donuts, cakes or pastries they all get stuck.I guess thats a good thing for me because I hate the stuck feeling I get sooooooooo uncomfortable. I had another fill last week I started really watching things since monday and exercising again. Finally this morning down to 240.I have been hovering at 241-243 since the end of aug.so I was thrilled to see that this morning.3lbs to 50lbs gone.Hopefully by the end of oct. I too had to buy new bras down to 46 from 50.had to buy a few pairs of pants down to 2x from 6x. I love my band. Keep up the great work everyone we are doing wonderful:thumbs_up: Pat

Hi all I am also at a plateau since the end of july.I have had 2 fills since then and they seem to have done nothing.DR.says they may take up to 2 weeks to kick in but that has never been my norm.I usually always feel something the first few days, but nothing the last 2 fills.I have been tracking and most days I eat between 1000-1500 cals which i know is to much.I find I am slipping into old habits of nighttime eating grrrrrrrr...........:cry_smile:I have not been doing much exercise but on a more positive note I am going to get back on track today.Have a great week everyone. Pat

my kids are all toothpicks. My moms family are small but all have to work on there weight. If they did not watch things they would be big as well. They have way more willpower than me. I'm doing well have 43lbs gone now,had another fill on wed. I thought I was near my sweet spot but you guys know the drill stopped losing could eat more again. This is the first fill I had that I don't feel like it added any more restriction.I uaually always feel something different for the first few days but not this time. Pat

Special K sorry to hear of your stepdad, losing a loved one is never easy.My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Fenton, believe me when I say there will be no more binging when you get proper restriction the band does a wonderful job at stopping that.I love it and hate it because i feel like I ate like a pig and only had 5-6 bites.I'm so amazed by that.It was a great idea to get my fill while on vacation because I've loss about 13 lbs so far.getting closer to the fifty lb mark.I have been so far behind.I will be going home on thursday and on my own scales so I will see the true results. Take care everyone, will post once I get home.

Hey Fenton, the slow loser here,go get a fill.I am still on vacation, went for a fill at the beginning and lost 11lbs.I am finally at my sweet spot had the fill and the restriction has lasted. Almost 3 weeks now It is amazing,I now have a love /hate relationship with my band I sure love the weight coming off finally. I have not done any excercise so it will be insteresting to see what happens when I get home and get into the exercise again. Fenton,go for a fill and let that wonderful tool help you.You will hit the 100 mark in no time.Keep your chin up how wonderful to get this far without a fill. Pat

Hi everyone I'm in Toronto visiting my sister, having a great time.went for a fill yesterday and not managing solids to well had to have soft yesterday and did fine.Did ok with small amount of beans today but was full after 2 bites of the lovely chicken dinner my sis made.I wanted it sooo much but just could not eat anymore.:wink2: Quick ?Does anyone know if you don't finish your meals can you have the remainder for your snack? I am not getting in much excercise but I guess the lack of eating will help.On a more positive note i am finally in the 240s and now have 33lbs gone.Hopefully,I will get more restickion and catch up to all you great losers:thumbup: Pat

I agree 3 ccs is alot.I have never had more than 1 put in. Once I hit 4cc my dr. is only adding .6 at a time.Thats working for me because I have nice restriction for a few days and after 2 weeks i need to go back for another, that gives the swelling time to go down and see what restriction i really have. Each time I seem to be getting a little more.I just can't wait for that sweet spot.Have any of you got yours yet? I think Fenton is away doing research for his sequel book. Pat

Hope, we have many things in common.WE were both banded on the same day,my highest was 285, 275 on surgery day last weight I was 252.I hope a year from surgery I will be at least to my target weight. It is nice to also have someone else lagging behind,I don't feel so alone. Pat
-
Fenton, don't fret over a pound you are a great loser, most of us have been yo-yoing between fills and have not lost the weight you have. I have not had any hair lost yet.I wonder if it is because I am not restricted yet only after fills for a few days.Going to my surgeon on the 28th hopefully he will do me under floroscope to see if anything is going on.I have 6.4 in a 10 cc band.I can still eat more than a cup of food more if I let myself. I am a slow loser and getting tired of lagging behind.32lbs gone but 10 of that was before surgery. Pat

WAY TO GO TEXGIRL:thumbup::thumbs_down::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: That is sooooooooo wonderful. Pat

I log everything as well even my excercise. It keeps me honest,I track everything that goes into my mouth.I am well behaved most days.I use my fitness pal.I print out daily and will take them with me when I go to the clinic.I know I am staying within cals but I can eat way to much food except after a fill. Pat
-
I have been sooooooooooooooo bad today 2100 cals,I can't believe I did that.I have been straving all day,not just head hunger real stomach pangs.I guess its back back for another fill it has been a week since the last one. ? for those of you who have not had fills. How do you get over the hunger pangs? I think it is amazing to be able to do this without fills. Pat
-
I agree with all of you.I have some friends who are great and tell me they can see the weight coming off, then there are others who don't comment I think they are just jealous.I am a slow looser only 31 lbs so far.I have had many nsv so I am happy with that.Don't let others bring you down,be proud of the hard work you are doing to become a healthier you. Fenton,My Dr. told me the sameabout icecream and choc.I buy it for the children it doesn't bother me,sweets are not my thing I am a fast food junkie. Pat

Hi All had another fill yesterday.I now have 6.2cc.I hope this one does the trick.I will be going to Toronto this month,I have an app. to go see my surgeon and then see the dietian.I have been tracking all my food intake and exercise so maybe they can give me advice as to why my weight loss is so slow.I am staying in my calorie range and exercise.Maybe I'm just eating the wrong foods.I do know nighttime is stil a problem even though I'm staying in calorie range i take most of them after 9pm:sad_smile:.I hate lagging behind everyone,I must be doing something wrong. Pat

west coast mom,the wii is great for getting the kids moving as well we all spend time on it and get our daily workouts in.The fitt is fun and makes you work to burn those calories.it also lets you compete against one another.my kids are all grown so its great to see if we can outrank them.DH enjoys it as well. Pat

Hey Sharon, you are probably right I shouldn't eat a full hamburger or sandwich but I am staying within my calorie range I hope that makes a difference.I do do my daily 30 minute exercise sometimes a little more.Iwas able to do 50 yesterday.I'm going for a fill monday because doc. says I should not be able to eat a full sandwich especially not the bread.I am fine in the morning though.I find this all so confusing I get a fill and feel restriction or what I believe is my sweet spot and bam 3-4 days later back to the same old me.Maybe I need a shrink:bored: I'm puzzled Pat Fenton what is the monthly cost for the bugg.I wish my journey was moving as nice as yours, congrats by the way even if I am soooooooo jealous. I am still very happy for you:thumbup:

Congrats everyone on their super weight loss:drool::blushing:.Question about the bodybugg,Is the armband large enough for very large arms or do you need extentions. Also is it worth the money. The wii fit was so worth it. I was also wondering with proper restriction would I still be able to eat a full hamburger or full sandwich.
-
I never had licocane for my fills don't need them there is no pain, when I saw the needle I was scared but a paper cut hurts more.:blushing:
-
had to let everyone know I had a terrible experience with water.I was eating my dinner very slowly ,well I decided I was thirsty and had a drink of water Big mistake I guess my pouch was full from dinner and there was no where for the water to go,I hurled until the water came back up.I did manage to keep dinner down.Serves me right for breaking the rules:cursing: On the plus side I guess I have restriction for sure:thumbup: Pat

Sharon, have you tried the skinny cow ice-cream low calories and large size.Saw them on Oprah, bought some and they were lovely.Just as good as oprah said and I'm not a ice-cream lover. Kerri,I love fruit as well but I like protein better.I try to keep it to some tuna /crackers the snack size 190 cals.I think it is mostly head hunger and trying to have enough will power to say no.I have to say the night time is the hardest part of this journey. Pat
