Pre-Op Anesthesia Appointment- What happens?
CindyAnne replied to Tanyatata's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My pre-op anesthesia appointment was just what Mhy12784 said. They talked to me about my surgery history, if I had ever had any complications due to anesthesia, or other muscle relaxants. They went over my health issues and history. Looked at my airway to see if they suspected there might be any issues with inserting the tube. Then noted the location of any crowns or loose teeth I might have. -
Almost, all the individuals in my support group have issues with eggs at one point or another. I seem to be one of the few exceptions. Since I moved from the first month of all liquid diet into the soft foods stage eggs have been my go to food. I take them scrambled in the morning with a little cheese on top. Then for the first few weeks my lunch and dinner was some variation of hard boiled egg and egg salad. Most of those in my support group said that as they got further out from surgery they were slowly able to introduce and enjoy eggs again. There are a few who still can't stand them though.

I can’t meet my protein requirements
CindyAnne replied to Rose400491's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had a similar problem Post Op with the protein shakes. I still can't stomach any that I have tried. Unjury Chicken Soup Flavor saved me. It's basically a protein broth. -
August Sleevers-How are you doing??
CindyAnne replied to Ash_Bri85's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am a fan of the Pure Protein Bars too. I have tried a couple different flavors. The S'Mores flavor didn't do it for me. It was way to sweet tasting and didn't taste like a s'more at all. The Chocolate Peanut Butter and the Chocolate Peanut butter caramel are descent. Plus I've been missing me some Reese's Peanut Butter Cups so they help me deal with that craving. -

We were just talking about air fryers in our Bariatric Support group tonight. Everyone who has purchased one says it is well worth the price. The said it also helps them stave off any residual fast food cravings they are having because everything comes out so crispy.
