Sorry I've been missing in action this week - I've had a terrible sinus/migraine headache for a week now - most days a bit unbearable and definitely can't 'read' so computer time has been limited. My prayers are ongoing for Sherry and Funny -- great they get to be banded on the same day by the same doctor!!! Congrats on those who lost Wednesday and my support for all of those who stayed the same (along with me)..... Welcome to everyone who is new or joined recently!

H/J 278.5, C 263 (-0 this week, -15.5 total) for the 2nd week in a row -- I actually gained 2.5 lbs due to medication for pain and diabetes medication changes - so I'm happy I stayed the same by dropping those lbs again - rather than gaining No problems on LBT for me Heather -- but yesterday it was acting up big time......the only time I had that happen (log in every single new page) was when I went through AOL to get here -- I now use Internet Explorer and that doesn't happen anymore.......

I'm sitting here reading your post - and 99% of what you are describing was ME two years ago -- and I was diagnosesd with Type 2 diabetes -- definitely do yourself a favor and get bloodwork done -- it is simple and they can test for MANY different things, including mono. With me - diabetes caused those aches/pains/exhaustion/bruising and healing slowly -- I also have very recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia too. I am not sharing these things to scare you - by no means - just to encourage you to do the bloodwork - it's so simple and is a good start to finding out what is going on with your body. Best wishes - let us know how you are after the blood results come in.

Looking good Funny --- are those tattoos on your arm? cool **about first page stats - mine should be -15.5 and 0 loss this week - stayed the same -- also I saw A1ikou's hasn't been updated either - thanks!
-
My name is simple -- Mo -a nickname and then a play on words --- more or less of me - depending on how much weight I lose :bananajump: stripper names --- hmmm -- Gail Atlantic......or Lucky Shaw

WTG Amy -- (FuddyDuddies) --- I can't imagine how much more awesome and successful you will be when you have the band too! Amazing job with no band - congrats!

I LOVE the tattoo........my son just got his first one and I know how proud he is - but yours is representative of something special and important!!! Be proud! and show it off! I'm not banded either --- I can't imagine the success you have achieved! Thank you for the motivation! EDIT: how did I miss FUPA attack?!!!!!!!! O M G .....hit the delete button quick -- FUPA attack!!!!!!!!!

"shit-faced" ??? oh lordy - who took over P'Nut's body and made her cuss? ROFL
-
Does that mean you are pretty much leaving P'Nut? Did you officially hand over the golden lap band torch? Info please.......
-
I just wanted to add - thank you P'Nut!!! We all see/know how much you have put into GFG -- do your thing girl - you are missed but we all get those crazy busy times in life.......... For anyone just joining or who joined this month--- I've learned to be patient - don't take it personally -and know that everyone chimes in eventually and is very supportive in here - so if someone isn't here one day - look for them the next -- and we ALL are here on Wednesday weigh-in --- don't fret! Be sure to brag and claim and explain all of the things you have done - you CAN still do the challenge on your own - I made a personal challenge to give up certain foods and I've done it - 30 days makes a habit they say! So go for it -- hang in and be patient during these busy summer months! I love this place! **and as P'Nut would remind everyone if she wasn't so busy - drop those Signatures please --- we all talk so much the thread is mighty LONG when we are done each month LOL FUPA power!!!
-
He is either a total jerk or he was so afraid something might happen to her and HE would be alone - that it turned him into a total jerk....just a thought....
-
Summer and children are probably a big reason for me not being on so much -- it's not fair to the kids when we are 'logged on' and not with them -- I know for me at least - when they return to school it will be easier to spend more time here -- well maybe - lol - but I'll be in school too - so maybe not I love LBT - but I think there are so many posts to read and new threads and journals.....and friends!!! .......it's hard to step away -- perhaps not only is it addicting but we who need to lose weight find it easier to SIT and type than to get moving! So - let's get moving!!!

New Medicare Rule on Surgery and Fills!
MoOrLess replied to NeenBand's topic in Insurance & Financing
Well that SUCKS! God I hate Medicare more every day----being disabled is so NOT fun.........I just lost my primary care physician (internal medicine) after 10 years - he gave up his business with a partner and flew the coop - and now this................I used up my prescription coverage (I had to pay more to get from Medicare - part D - what a joke) and now I have to wait for Medicare to send me a form so I can get help from them directly because I am finally poor enough for them to pitch in.......it isn't fun that's for sure - thanks for the info! -
I'm also not doing the next month's challenge - maybe the two months in a row with the SAME challenge has challenged us out?! I'll be here - weigh in on Wednesdays and do my normal stuff --- and definitely cheer everyone one for next month!!! wanted to add - reason for no challenge for me next month is because I push myself a lot! and exercise some days when I shouldn't - which then causes my back to go out (numerous disabilities here folks).....didn't want anyone to think I am just a lazy, unmotivated unbanded girl
-
C-263 (-0 this week; -15.5 total) Would someone please call me a taxi cab - I'm stalled on the side of Weight Refuses to Budge Avenue....thanks! ---and while you're at it - would you text message P'Nut and ask her to jump in the cab with us........where has she gone???????????
-
I've been down this road and it ain't pretty!!!!!!!!!! I now have 6 herniated disks (3 in my neck and 3 in my lower back) well they 'were' herniated and are now gone.......deteriorated and nowhere to be found. Not even a major rear-ender -- left me in bad shape. I did get a lawyer but he took 45% of the settlement - plus I had to pay all the doctor bills - I wasn't left with much when all was said and done - two years later. But I agree with Jack - if you don't get an attorney you will be lucky you see what they initially offered you.......find a good one - don't let them rip you off and make sure they 'believe' you - the first jerk attorney did not believe me (nor ask the right questions) and when his female associate took over (thank goodness) she looked into it and realized her boss had not even looked/asked for proper paperwork for all of my expenses. Hang in there - it is a long road -- and it absolutely CAN re-occur or become worse down the road - I'm living proof! My chiropractor won't touch me anymore - so now it is specialists and my PCP. I have been on disability for years now and it isn't getting better as I get older.

EAS "Advant Edge" - I bought it at Walgreens and Wal-Mart (here in the states)....maybe they have it online somewhere? The shakes comes in a disposable (soft) container - you have to pour into another glass....the bars come 4 to a package -- Chocolate Chip Brownie is "ok" but very dense and chewy, I prefer the Peanut Butter Crips or something like that - twice the size as the brownie one and much tastier (not so dense).
-
Thanks for the explanation Wheetsin - much appreciated!
-
I love Advant Edge too- shakes AND bars -- great protein --- not sure if they are available online or in Canada though..............

Sadly, no roller rinks left around here (Illinois).....bowling is great - my boys love it! We get coupons for 99 cents a game every month -- so it isn't so costly....check your local bowling alley - ask if they have a website (this is where our coupons come from) and go for it! It is fun - keeps the kids entertained (we eat before we go) then Snacks are minimal - otherwise more money gets spent on food than bowling! lol Also - a nearby movie theatre has kids' matinee (at 10AM) - it has A/C and entertains the kids for a couple of hours (if you can stand the other 100 kids in the audience) .... I SO agree (Time to love me) -- the kids do/are getting FAT sitting around playing video games and watching tv......it's hard - society is NOT what it used to be -- those WERE the days when we were growing up!

BeacheeGirl is being banded today!!
MoOrLess replied to FunnyDuddies's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Saying a prayer all goes fantastic and you are back here soon! -
Telly 'just' posted the same type of thread.........what about it moderators??? can you make this a sticky WHEN someone finally decides that specific times a mod would at least visit throughout a day? I bet that would be a big help - then others would know moderators were in there for at least a few minutes (at the top of the hour?) and others would join in....just a thought...........

Hi! I'm on a hormone patch...the lowest dosage possible (due to my PCP requesting it due to type 2 diabetes)...it works great for me! But yep-I struggle somewhat with weight.... maybe a LOWER dosage? or a HIGHER dosage? I found that with my diabetes completely under control/almost non-existent that the estrogen patch does NOT affect my weight loss.... Hope this helps on some level.
