    School Staff Exercise Support!!!

Yep they do have a fitness center - but NO WAY will I go and work out and then go all sweaty to my classes -- too much work to bring workout clothes, etc. -- I am OLD so I will exercise when I get home at night lol I work out now - two 26 min sessions per day (up from two 15-min sessions) on the treadmill. I have disabilities and this is great workout for me - I might get up to 45 min by Sept. and I might not - not hung up on it -- I know my limitations....

    School Staff Exercise Support!!!

I agree! It is going to be really tough for me once school starts up again (for me-I went back to college) not just my kids.....things get hectic, that's for sure. My plan is to work up to a full 45-minute treadmill walk - that way I can do a complete workout in one session at night (versus two separate 26 min. walks now)....hopefully that will give me the same results.......

    LAP band to bypass....?

    LAP band to bypass....?

BPM - sounds like we are both in the same boat - so to speak....researched, researching, and made great friends here who support us on our choice of weight loss just like we support those who have the band, had the band or are in the process of getting the band the way I see it - we are all 'in the process' of losing weight - one way or another :biggrin1:

    Exercise Today

Ok - here I come - newbie alert! I never thought I exercised enough to talk about it - but today I worked out harder than I ever have before (or was able to): Treadmill - (after brerakfast) 26 minutes (after dinner) 30 minutes

    LAP band to bypass....?

lol - old threads/new threads -- hijack away! .....I haven't decided against it 100% but then again I am choosing not to get it at this point in time - so I'm not so different - at least I don't think so....

    LAP band to bypass....?

I'm not sure what brings BPM here - but I am not banded either -- and quite frankly - I listen every day and gather info about the band - have various reasons (Medicare, finances for fills, etc) why I am not banded - but I have been embraced by a great group of folks who encourage and cheer me on daily - so that is why I am here - even without a band
  17. Go ahead Telly - is there anything sacred anymore? lol I don't think so -- and pop rocks! dang! ouch!

    Getting depressed

Just to be clear -- thanks "Just Paul" for the compliment - I do NOT have a band - and yes I am working the WHOLE program even without it -- so don't worry - the band will work if you work the band! Just keep reading posts on LBT and you will be convinced!
  20. ROFLMAO!!! my honey wants to test the champaign theory lol...I'm laughing until I'm crying imagining this scene Telly - issue with swallowing? hmmmm and getting what you want - just wake him up in the middle of the night and go for it! lol
  21. I don't know about width and such - but once you find a 'good' shoe that fits well - it is worth going to a foot and ankle specialist in your area - they will make personally formed 'inserts' that cut down and cushion your foot and help with ALL kinds of problems....I strongly recommend them! No - you don't have to be diabetic to get them.

P'Nut - I would have to do the same thing - hold on for dear life! I would be most fearful of losing my footing and falling - something my back wouldn't handle....hey you were sweating - that's proof of a great workout right there! Way to go on dropping those pounds!
  25. From one chocolate lover to another: ShellyJ - if you are really struggling and want/need some chocolate - I found Weight Watchers' candies to be yummy (made by Whitman's)--- they really do the job and taste as good as the regular stuff - just watch out and eat only one at a time - they have 'saturated fat' which I have to watch due to high cholesterol you can buy them by the bag (I think 6 in these) or individually - I found them at Jewel/Albertson's and Walgreens Crispy Butter Cream Caramel : 3 pieces have: 8g fat, 6 g sat. fat, 5 mg cholesterol, 60 mg sodium, 23g carbs, 9g dietary fiber, 7g sugar, 3g Protein -- so again - ONE piece isn't too bad
