Vicodin? 5 days? kidney stones? yikes..........sounds like a phony baloney to me - but that's just my opinion....... I would recommend that on the next date girl - go somewhere that the main focus of the date isn't on FOOD....if the guy ran home to discuss whether or not you had WL surgery then he definitely took some time to decide whether he wanted to be involved with you -- I say forget him -

If I remember correctly - this author of the book "He's Just Not That Into You" is also starting a new show in the fall season --- I'll have to watch for it so I can post the name of it - anyone else see the advertisement? -

We never know what is going on in the other person's life - behind the scenes, those things that they don't talk about or share....unfortunately sometimes the internet can give people a false sense of intimacy -- so hang in there - go date others - if he is worth dating again, if/when he calls date him - if not move on girl! There are plenty of fish in the sea! My daughter 'just' went thru the same thing - only via phone calls - and a couple of 'after work' visits from the guy - ONE official date and he claims he is busy helping his family, working long hours, etc and can't find time for a date right now - she said well when you find time give me a call - yes she's disappointed but that's life - she's moving on now with a nudge from me -- this from a guy who pursued HER for over a year - go figure -

WOW Heather! Fantastic - 100 lbs in 9 months -- that is awesome! -
escudero...I heard thru the grapevine that Telly is taking a 'break' right now from LBT - is that true - someone? anyone? Telly girl? While it isn't a big deal to most - it is to me: today I walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes and actually JOGGED for one minute in between each 5 minute increment - I haven't jogged in ages so it felt like a big accomplishment to me........5 min of jogging even with arthritis and degenerative disk disease and fibromyalgia....yea!

Day 2 of my new NSV -- I was able to jog for 1 minute after every 5 minutes of walking on my treadmill for 30 minutes - 5 minutes of jogging - woo hoo! Now only if my arthritis didn't hate me so much for running lol - it's heck to get old....... and - I was able to buy a regular x-large at Target of all places for some workout pants! I was pleasantly surprised (well more like shocked lol) that they fit so well....thank goodness the inches come off even when the scale doesn't move..... -

P'Nut - girl - it is the WINE! that is making you itch....mark my words.....I get hives from certain medications but mostly from spaghetti sauce and strawberries -- from the acid -- and if you have been drinking a lot of wine and didn't before -- well there you go -- don't drink any more wine for a long time -- after the hives go away - have two glasses and watch for hints of the hives and you'll know for sure! And awesome about the cruise and photography together - woo hoo! Yep - we have all missed you and love you dearly - glad you are back - no more hiding please lol -
Thanks Dawg for an awesome thread! 1) I'm thankful for great friends and acquaintances on LBT! 2) I'm very thankful for air conditioning in my house AND in my car (I have watched many people walking/riding bikes in 100 degree heat and I feel so bad for them) 3) I am thankful for my fiance, especially his love, laughter, and support! 4) I am thankful for the ability to go to college - many people can't or don't; I'm thrilled to finally get my BA at the age of 48. 5) And last, but most definitely not least, I am thankful for God in my life -He is always there; never leaves me; and listens to me when no one else wants to; and most of all He loves me every day - no matter how much I do or don't love myself some days. 6) (sorry-absolutely necessary) - I am very thankful for my wonderful children (2 by birth and 5 by engagement - including a new grandbaby!) - I am truly blessed!

I know my 8 year old can't drive (good thing) but he certainly does WANT everything he sees on tv - as all kids do - it does NOT help that he knows every jingle he hears on tv for food -- sorry - but even though he loves me he must 'wonder' why Mom wants him to eat healthy while the rest of the world keeps pushing fast food! That's 'my' 2 cents

I just wanted to post WHY I eat oatmeal every day for breakfast -- I'm not banded by the way -- I eat it to get my soluble fiber in - I have high cholesterol and after 2 years of medicine it is not going down (it's in the genes) and oatmeal is a good way to get that fiber in, as are apples and pears and oranges and walnuts. Just wanted to share........banded folks eat differently and I totally agree with you Cathy - protein first!

Could someone hollar please for PHOTONUT and CANADIAN SUNSHINE???? yoo hoo! come out come out wherever you are! don't panic everyone - it IS August - but...we weigh in on Wednesdays anyhow so hopefully we'll all get started tomorrow:p
-
So - I was laying in bed falling asleep last night and thought - hmm.... BMI doesn't change that much in a month - a person has to lose on average 10 lbs to get it to drop 2 points (approx) -- so how about if we do this: BMI change (1 pt for each drop in total # [not tenths] + Weight Loss = Total Points And P'Nut - can we keep using the same scorecard (please) and add BMI and BONUS POINTS for 6 days of exercise? (with one day off) What does everyone think? *And a SECOND BONUS: Again, an honesty policy - you get 5 extra points for the month if you DROP one TEMPTING FOOD for the entire month? You have to list what it is - and avoid it like the plague! lol anyone????
-
P'Nut - naw - not enough sanity in my life right now AND college starts back up again that last week of August and I will be overloaded by then. Thanks for the offer - pass it on - who wants August? (if we do a BMI challenge I recommend that someone copy/paste ONE BMI chart so everyone is on the same page with a starting BMI - not all charts are treated equally lol)
-
Thanks gals! about liking BMI suggestion - as I was reading an excellent website Wheetsin mentioned in the "Need success tips" thread I was reminded once again how important BMI is to your health and living a long life!

Has anyone ever had gallstones go away without intervention?
MoOrLess replied to debi717's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
From what I learned when I had my gallbladder removed - gallstones can and do eventually break down into 'sludge' - I was only 24 years old and I had sludge - no stones....so yep they 'can' appear to be gone this way
