Post it notes are a life saver - on specific pages in your numerous reading adventures - I tend to take notes while I read - then I never have to re-read something again- you 'can' highlight (yellow is best) in books and still re-sell them, at least at my college -- go easy, just highlight important points to remind yourself what to do, get a GOOD assignment notebook - one that gives you plenty of space to write your assignments in and your 'real life' to-dos...... I tried using a tape recorder but it never picked up very well - you'll learn fast that anythings said TWICE is good to write down - and I agree about asking to see "sample" papers - they are a great help I've managed a 4.0 too for the past two years - it isn't easy with a family - but you'll love it and grow and enjoy it - I'm sure my best suggestion is to read 'ahead' - if you can do that you will never fall behind - even if you have a sick day or two - and it keeps stress to a minimum, well worth it in the long run - good luck!

Funny - uh uh - not after the LAST bit of drama - no way no how Dawg - yep there IS life after death - the threads here prove that LOL
-
hmmm...not necessarily lol
-
I think this thread HAS been killed lol ---- it has gone round a new corner and taken off in another direction.......
-
Ok - I lose slowly - averaging 5 lbs a month - yep slow - but if I look at the long-term my goal is to lose another 20 lbs by Christmas for a total of 40 lbs (minimum) before I see my family at our get-together! [278.5 started - 238.5 first goal] Anyone else have a goal for Christmas???
-
At 261 lbs at 5'5 I am at .907 waist-to-hips ratio -- they say all women should be at 0.8 (0.95 for men)---so I'm smaller than the target (if I was a MAN!) so I'm not too far off from their target ratio number for women - which I think is silly.....as if I am not overweight - yeah right.......I'm not pear-shaped but I am still MO - BMI charts, weight/height charts, my doctor's opinion....

Aw Paul, you got someone crying for pete's sake - that just might KILL THIS THREAD! Bawwwwwwwwwwwww
-

Favorable Attention: Do you project the right signals?

I'm taken too - but.......I do notice guys checking me out when I am driving the car -- I guess with most of my 'fat' lower than the window they don't see all of me lol -- but they flirt as they drive by - I honestly think it has something to do with our own self-esteem - esp after I get a great new haircut and feel pretty - I notice guys looking at me more - so maybe it has to do with that - feeling good about yourself?! -
Everyone should also ALWAYS get a yearly mammogram - the 'base' mammogram is VERY important (by age 40 if not sooner depending on your family history) -- go every year - they won't kill you - yes I have heard some people bruise - but I don't - us well-endowed ladies usually have the least amount of issues -- go ladies - it's that or you might find out too late - who wants to die from cancer when there is a way to catch it early? did the thought of the big "C" kill the thread?
-
Thanks mychevygirl - I've only succeeded with the help of all of you wonderful folks!
-
roflmao! crying while I laugh -- the fish - talks out of both sides of it's mouth I see - or maybe out of both mouths? lol ....I AM getting a mammogram next month - maybe Paul's would be less painful lol thanks guys! you are hysterical and we're having FUN! uh oh - fun -do you think THAT will kill this thread?
-
nope - Linda - just working on it without a band - only have Medicare and they are being fickle about 'who' can do the surgery and 'who' can do fills - not a good situation for those mid-band and no fills so I'm just thankful to be embraced and encouraged by everyone on GFG and their support
-
exactly Linda - I lost pretty well in May and then a bit in June and by July it is almost zilch....I'm not banded - but still.........so glad it is moving along again - well at least budging lol
-
Thanks guys for the encouragement! that's why "I'm" here the abyss - is that LBT? lol
-
lol all you nutty folks! good to see ya again - what fun is this - hunt for the thread.....all is well as long as we're all here! I actually saw 259.8 today - 'maybe' I am finally breaking thru that 260 barrier..........arggggggggg
