can any of these Soups and broths be used for the preop liquid diet stage i am getting my bypass on the 21st of sept i have started the liquid diet and i dont really know whst kind of Soup to look for the low sodium chicken broth was absolutely disgusting

im due to have my gastric bypass on sept 21 exactly 7 days away started the preop liquid diet and i feel miserable i truely dont know how im going to get thru these next couple of days i was told tho that the surgery itself is nothing compared to a csection i had two and i was told the pain from the csection was 10 times worse when is your date ??

so today i started my 7 day preop liquid diet i am hungry moody and miserable i am trying to find Soups that comply with the requirements the dr said i cud do strained puree soups so my question is does the lable actually say strained on it or is there specific types that are known for being strained ...any tips on how to get thru this is extremely appreciative on the bright side surgery is in 7 days

so my dr gave me a list of protien shakes but does that mean those are the only shakes that are ok for bypass?? has anyone ever tried the Quest protien shakes??

so yes i have been debating on posting this topic but i need answers i am an weed smoker prolly about 2-3 times a day i am geting the gastric bypass on sept 21 im not sure if i should quit smoking bc of the possibility of complications during surgery from smoking..i have looked it up online and nothing says weed can cause issues during surgery but nothing definite was wondering if there was anyone else who has quit prior to surgery for that reason

so preop diet for gastric bypass starts the 14 and surgery is the 21 im alittle confused on the preop diet am i allowed to eat at all and the the day before surgery is all Clear Liquids or is it strictly smoothies and Water and then the day before surgery is same clear liquids just trying to figure out what to buy for food shopping this week any tips for preop wud be great

hope all went well with surgery im due for my gastric bypass and heller myotomy on sept 21 cant wait to join everyone on the other side
