  1. I am 3 weeks out and I was put on a reflux medicine after 1 week post op. I was wondering if anyone has experienced reflux in the early months of getting sleeved and it went away after a few months? My reflux isn't bad but I know it's there. I often feel like I have something stuck in my throat and I attempt to burp to get it out but doesn't work [emoji17] i was just wanting to know if anyone else has experienced this and it resolved itself.
  2. I would love to meet someone who is getting VSG on Wednesday, august 30th, like myself! [emoji847]
  3. Yes!! I highly recommend. Even if you feel as if you are able to eat a bunch of food, you shouldn't. Measuring food will help tremendously. I also watched a surgeons video and he said we should be eating food the size of our palm for life if we are doing things right. And the size of our hand if it's a salad. If you eat more than that you could stretch your sleeve!

  5. I promise it is not! But you have to know that women and men are so much different with how our bodies react to things! How much are you able to eat now that you are on soft foods?
  6. I have really suffered from mind hunger. And realizing that I am so addicted to food. It was a rough first week for me. We all have our own issues and it's always nice to talk to! Cause no matter how much you research, no one can really prepare you for this mentally.
  7. Please do!! I always love new people to talk to!!
  8. Like I said before, mine is going up and down. I've lost 13lbs since surgery. And I am on liquids! Meaning I should probably be losing like crazy!! But I'm not. So don't overthink it! Our bodies are in shock right now. And our bodies really want us to hold on to fat cause it's all it's known for so long. Give it time, it will start falling off.
  9. I have instagram account that has tons of people on there that have had the vsg! It's allotacupcakes if you want to look me up!! [emoji4] it is crazy how different the programs are! And my surgeon is super strict [emoji51] I can't wait to chew something!!
  10. I understand completely! I am hoping some of my energy will come back soon. I actually gained 7lbs the day after surgery then I dropped after I started taking in more fluids, then I gained 3lbs overnight! And dropped it slowly. I am on full liquids for 4 weeks (26th) so I think since I'm not taking in a lot of calories my body is in starvation mode which is why it is holding on to my weight and that could be the case with you as well!
