Lap Band Revision to the Sleeve
WaywardMama replied to breprih's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
So sorry that is happening to you. I had a baby and mine started to go bad afterward too. To the point if er surgery after throwing up liquids for a month. I lost 140 with the band I had about 10 years. I'm almost done with pre op for the sleeve. I am so sorry for your losses as well. I suggest going to your doctor because it usually just gets worse. I waited to long to fix it , just had to come out. Just my opinion. -
Thank you! You as well

Ah, I figured it was thru the mouth so I researched it after I saw it. I hope you get some feedback and I hope whatever way you choose works well for you thanks, it was horrible and I had it repaired a month after gallbladder surgery. I was so sore for awhile lol. I have not had it yet ... hopefully the end of the month or beginning. sorry for the confusion

I know when I work out I get muscle and my scale gets higher but my inches go down. Swimming is great for building muscle. Keep your chin up ! Also if you don't get the support from your doctors you can switch and find somewhere to help. -
Haven't had yet mine but when I have got consipated /gas gas that's how it felt. :/ maybe check in with your doctor too.

When you lose weight all the stuff stored in your fat comes out. It's normal to feel this way for sure. -
Band to sleeve success stories, please.

I had a band for about 10 years. I had a 22 inch baby and that started my band slipping. I'm hoping that the stats are wrong too. Thanks to those that posted. -
What to expect with psych eval (I'm new hi! Introduction )
WaywardMama posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi! I'm new here and I have started the process to get my sleeve done. A little back story ... (if you want to read it lol) I had my lap band for 10 years and lost 140 lbs and kept most of it off till I got pregnant 4 years ago. My band had started slipping and I had it unfilled for that time. He was 22 inches long when born so he moved my band and it ended up slipping ... it kept slipping (puked for months) till end of last year it was pinching my stomach and had emergency surgery to have it out. I was on bedrest for complications from this, then gallbladder surgery , as well and a foot injury so I have gained so much back all since January. I tried eating right and I work out walking/swimming because of my bad knee and foot. Sooooo I find myself starting all over again. I feel like I failed last time and I am going to try again. I feel I could do it once I could do it again? . The sleeve when healed seems like a better way to go.... so to my question ..... sorry for being long winded. I never had a psych consult with my last surgery or at all... what should I expect? I am afraid of failing because I get a little depressed sometimes when things go to crap.... thanks for reading -
