    LET'S TACKLE FALL CHALLENGE

    257 today 9/21
  2. I'm 4 weeks tomorrow post op. I finally took off all the white strip bandages and now I'm so itchy around the healing wounds. Any suggestions? Sleeve date. 8-21 Hw. 289 SW. 284 CW. 259 Height. 5'8 Gw. 170
  3. I didn't tell anyone. I told my friends I was sick and dehydrated and didn't see them for 3 weeks. Then I started work as a teacher and couldn't see anyone because of that and my kids back in school. So no one thought it was weird. 1/2 my family lives far away and I'll see my sister this week. I've lost 30 pounds in a month but she won't even notice. So all good. Then when everyone does notice my weight loss I'll just say I've been dieting and exercising- which is true. People are too judgmental these days so I just told my husband and 3 kids who are all teenagers and are happy for me. Good luck with whatever you decide.

    How much water?

For 1 1/2 weeks post up I drank 32 oz a day which was suggested by dr. After that I could drink more and now at almost 4 weeks I can drink a 12 oz bottle water bottle I a few minutes without a problem ( as long as I waited at least 30 min after eating puréed. I'm almost at 50-60 oz everyday now and eat 400-550 cal a day on purée. Next week I have dr appt as my diet will advance.
  6. I read that if you eat every few hours your body knows you will feed it and so it will stop going into starvation mode- the stall. This just happened to me. I stayed the same weight( went up and down 2 pounds) for 5 days. Then increased how often I ate 2 oz of puréed food and lost a pound. Good luck.

  8. See! U woke up! I'm on 3rd week puréed foods and it's fine!
  9. I had surgery 8/21 and lost 29 pounds! Then this morning gained 2! Getting tons of water, walking, following food guide..... will this pass??? Also, I have an IUD AND I have had my period - light- on and off this whole post op. I'm getting nervous that that this ( like everything else) will not work for me. I also felt super light this morning- until the horrific scale. Any thoughts are welcome!
  10. I thought I'd be the unlucky one and drop dead on the surgery table- but I woke up! And you will too. There is so much prework and tests done preop to make sure it is safe. Imagine if you had to have emergency surgery- there would be none if that! Just remember to shrink your liver to make it easy for the doc! You are going to be just fine!

    2 pound weight gain. Boo

Thanks for your support. I'm in tears with all this. Went on two walks today for a total of 1 and 1/2 hours. Really want to see progress and results. [emoji173]️
  12. Do you think this is ok 3 weeks out? Soup was thin broth with a little very soft tofu. Thoughts?
  13. I love the bariwise protein drinks from diet direct. I only do vanilla and chocolate. For breakfast I add decaf expresso hot water an a little ice and ninja it. Delish. All the bariwise stuff is great. They have weekly sales too. I've had their soups and pancakes.

    LET'S TACKLE FALL CHALLENGE

    Today's weight 262 9/8/17 Thank you
  15. I'm 2 1/2 weeks post op. I've been eating 2oz puréed food at a sitting. Today for breakfast I was able to eat 4oz lite dannon yogurt until full. Does this make since. Later on I was back to 2oz refried beans and was full with that. Thanks in advance for your support!

    4 oz lite yogurt today

I feel like I am too hungry sometimes. A tbsp of peanut butter usually helps. Usually after I eat the 2 oz of my allowed food (cottage cheese or hummus). I feel better but not full.

I found a bunch of skinny syrups and no calorie marshmallow fluff for shakes at Home Goods. Check yours out.

    Anyone have food dreams?

Ya. 3 natural child births. Certain pain I'm good. Some types of pain I pass out.

    Peanut butter

It's on my meal list so I'm guessing it's ok. Doc says just to lick off spoon.

    Never ending period

I have an IUD. never really got my period with it. Very light. 2 days after surgery I got a big surprise. It finally just stopped today 15 days post op. I'm assuming hormones and surgery messed things up a bit.
  21. Hi all I am 6 days out of surgery. 5'8 HW. 289 SW. 278 CW. 269 My surgery went very well. Pain from nausea and gas. Feeling better and walking. Had dumping episode Friday because I didn't wait long enough between food and water. I'll never do that again! I'm wondering if I'll be back to my exercise routine - 5 mile walks, soul cycle, purebarre - in a months time. I usually drink tons of water during my exercising - how do you do this with the sleeve- sipping 40 oz now. Also. I feel so week some days on the 2oz meals- I'm not sure I'll have the energy. Please share if you have had similar experiences early on and if you were able to get back to exercising. Thanks so much!
  22. Skiing with my family. I haven't consistently for many years because I just didn't fit into ski pants comfortably. I bought a huge size last winter. Went out. Fell. And because where I fell was not too steep I could not get up for the life of me. Someone came by and helped me. Pretty embarrassing. Not too mention the anxiety I had skiing because of how unfit I was. I loved skiing. I want to feel the freedom, confidence and speed again. I don't want to sit in the lodge by myself. I want to make memories with my kids.

    Anyone have food dreams?

I feel great. I even had to go back to work Wednesday and Thursday as I'm a teacher and was fine. After 1 week postop I felt like I hadn't had surgery even. The first few days were rough with nausea and headache. I only took Tylenol at home for pain which was minimal- just a little annoyed at night sleeping on back. By day 5 I was sleeping on my tummy! Today I walked 45 minutes briskly. So far so good.
  24. I'm a sped teacher. Had my surgery 8/21. By the following Monday (1 week) I felt like I hadn't even had surgery. I went back Wednesday and Thursday this week for teachers only and just brought my puréed food and water to school- i walked away from the welcome back luncheon and didn't peek at what was served. Kids start 9/5 and I think I'll be fine. For the first 4 days post op it was hard to get up and out of sitting and lying but by day 5 it was fine. I suggest you remember to walk around a bit during the day at work. Good luck.

    Anyone have food dreams?

Before my surgery (8/21)I had many yummy food dreams. They were very realistic with all my fave foods. I could also taste the food. Last night I had a dream I was having a tummy tuck and I looked up at the surgeon and my family was watching and smiling during the surgery. Very weird but I guess makes sense!
